  1. I also had no idea. I looked it up. There were actually quite a few sites talking about it, but fwiw, this one is the first that came up in my search on duckduckgo: https://www.democracyentrepreneurs.org/ This game is hard on people who stammer or are otherwise slow talkers.
  2. On TV, police solve cases, when in reality most go unsolved. Also, waaaaay less police brutality and murders at traffic stops happen on TV. Clearance rates: https://www.statista.com/statistics/194213/crime-clearance-rate-by-type-in-the-us/
  3. Maybe it's one of the places where there was a mass shooting.
  4. I'm always down for people being mad at the electric companies. I really like that they are focusing on the "inmate firefighter" issue more again. I also like that they stopped assassinating Eve's character and building Manny up at her expense. It balanced out with the reminder of Manny's imperfection and Eve's abilities in this episode. I forgot that Luke was the Chief now. I wound up being okay with how things went with Gen. It's true that Bode is always glomming onto someone else to build himself up. I think he hasn't fully dealt with being blamed for his sister's death. And Cara only really "chose Bode" because she thought he was Gen's biodad. So having the kid go with Jake actually is the chosen family story after all. No comment on Vince's trembling hand. It looked like a really bad burn he had, so having it heal overnight seemed a lot like Sharon's miraculous lack of kidney disease even when she needed a transplant desperately, and her total lack of issues after receiving one. The protesters, media, and generally fucked up nature of that entire situation was one of the more realistic things this show has done. Convenient that a crisis happened right then, to flip the script. I predict the locals now want to get 3 Rock re-opened, and will change the minds of TPTB. What was Gabriella doing in the house while Jake and Gen were playing jenga? Why was Gab there instead of with her fiance?
  5. I wonder if the unbleeped version appears online and it's just the broadcast-on-CBS version that's bleeped?
  6. That is an interesting question! It could be just that the whole property is not well-maintained and lots of things are falling apart... or it could be Chekov's Fence. I'm still waiting for the water heater noise to lead to some kind of revelation. It's been mentioned in multiple episodes. But it might also just be an old water heater that's noisy.
  7. I wondered whether it was a clear indication that the Captain is in on the corruption, or if the guy was just saying that to make it LOOK like the Captain was in on it. This show is based on showing us the crime up front and not being a mystery. The interest is supposed to be in showing how Elsbeth figures out what we already know. But it's unclear to me whether they will follow through on that in all aspects. I like Elsbeth's attitude to be on the side of the truth. I do like that theya re moving the story along andnot dragging it out so ,uch that it feels totally stagnant.
  8. That scene with Kaya and Elsbeth gave me chills. But I liked it. Female friendship FTW. I liked the murderer's wife, but I didn't understand why she was with such a cold, controlling partner. It made me sad.
  9. Oh damn. I felt bad for Jupiter when he turned out to be innocent and actually a really nice guy. I have really mixed feelings about how the show is treating the blindness. It's basically saying that independence is stupid and that Tess should not bother to learn how to do anything without Sunny. It's kind of like they're trying to have the blindness as a hook but write her as a sighted person. I thought it was a bit creepy that SUnny bought Tess the same jumper she herself was wearing.
  10. I really liked these episodes. The show is better with ghosts actively participating! I have been losing interest but this finale made me really hope for a renewal, even though it seems they set it up to also work as a series ending. I would not have guessed that Duncan would be the first to find out about nell's secret and I also would not have guessed that he'd be nicer as a ghost than as a living person. His desire to help nell get a job came out of newhere.
  11. Rushdie has been doing a lot of interviews. I am finding them quite interesting. He gets to talk in more detail in other places, because they give him more time and are not trying to be funny.
  12. I am certain that he was trying to set Elsbeth up. Whether the he is shady, or how shady he might be, I think is unclear, but him leaning on Kaya suggests to me that he likely is at the least willing to be shady.
  13. I like the kids drawings game. It's not really worth much as a competition, but it's hilarious anyway.
  14. I like that the show took the wind out of "everyone must go to Harvard or Juilliard" and "everyone will get in if they want to". I find both ideas obnoxious, so I was glad they did that.
