tv echo April 23, 2018 Share April 23, 2018 (edited) Felicity and Regina have advanced to the semi-final round of CarterMatt's Unsung Hero Showdown, which round begins tomorrow, Tuesday, April 24 - I believe the vote result was 45% for Felicity and 43% for Regina (fyi, there are parallel contests running with other tv shows, which produce their own two actors for the semi-final round)... Unsung Hero Showdown: Felicity Smoak, Regina Mills advance to semifinals April 22, 2018https://cartermatt.com/303747/unsung-hero-showdown-felicity-smoak-regina-mills-advance/ Quote These two characters each advanced to the next round of our ongoing poll series and when you look at the vote tallies alone, this was really not all that close. The characters from Arrow and Once Upon a Time each dominated with a rather large percentage of the overall vote — the final result was actually pretty close between the two, but given that there are TWO characters advancing to the semifinals they were each able to advance. It’s not too much of a surprise to see either one of these characters move on when you consider 1) the love that there is for both of these shows from some of their fans and 2) how much they each mean to their respective shows. With Regina we have what we like to consider a near-constant reminder that redemption is possible almost no matter who you are. She’s become heroic thanks to the love of those close to her and a better understanding of her own potential. Meanwhile, Felicity has helped to make it possible for anyone to be a hero — it’s not just about those who sport costumes and spend their nights heading out into the city to fight bad guys. So where do things go from here in the tournament? That’s rather simple — Felicity and Regina join Alicia from Fear the Walking Dead and also Nicole from Wynonna Earp in the semifinals, which will begin formally on Tuesday, April 24. Over the course of a few days those six will compete in head-to-head showdowns before the finals begin on Saturday, April 28. As we start to narrow things down in the quest to find the #1 Unsung Hero on television, you better be prepared for things to heat up! There are only six contenders left and over the next couple of days, we’ll face some head-to-head showdowns to determine the three who will face off in the finals starting on April 28. * * *Voting Rules – Vote however many times you like! Voting is open between now and 1:00 p.m. Pacific time on Saturday, April 28. The Unsung Hero with the most votes, as mentioned, will be brought into the finals. * * *Felicity Smoak – Felicity had a pretty powerful run in the first round of the Showdown, generating a ton of buzz at a time in which her story was really starting to heat up on Arrow season 6. We’re now at a point in which that season is starting to get into its home stretch, which hopefully is going to mean some more big stories for her. It’s pretty hard to not feature her given her prominence both in Team Arrow and in Oliver’s life. She’s deserving of the attention as a multi-faceted character and really a prime example as a hero who doesn’t need a costume in order to succeed. tv echo May 1, 2018 Share May 1, 2018 (edited) Round 2 voting is now open - current vote totals below... Ultimate Superhero Tournament: Vote in Round 2 Now by ZACH JOHNSON | Mon., Apr. 30, 2018 9:00 AMhttps://www.eonline.com/shows/peoples_choice_awards/news/930832/ultimate-superhero-tournament-vote-in-round-2-now Quote The first round of the People's Choice Awards' Ultimate Superhero Tournament ended this morning, and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) is leading the pack with 19.8 percent of the votes. Along with Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill), she is just one of nine DC Entertainment characters to make it to the second round, compared to 26 from Marvel Studios. Thirty-five characters made the cut—slightly more than planned. The bottom three—Black Canary (Katie Cassidy), Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) and Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper)—tied with 0.26 percent of the votes, meaning they barely made it to the next phase of the tournament. So if you're a fan of that particular trio, now is the time to make your voice heard. May 26, 2018 Craig Byrne http://www.greenarrowtv.com/2018-greenarrowtv-awards-pick-the-best-episode-of-arrow-season-6/ Quote Now that it’s summer hiatus time, it’s time to start collecting votes for this year’s GreenArrowTV Awards – honoring the best and not-so-best of the recent Arrow season. We’ve been doing this since Season 1, and now it’s time to play favorites for Season 6! * * * Votes are limited to ONE vote per IP. This means, there’s no way to “cheat” on this poll that we are aware of, and as such, the responses will be accurate. * * * The polls will remain open until we’re done for the summer. We’re keeping all polls open throughout the process, until the time we make the final tally. Do know, though, if you already voted and are given another opportunity to vote later, only the first vote from your IP will be counted. Results will be posted before the start of Arrow Season 7.
