@ItCouldBeWorse your wish is my command! There were sooooo many good songs in the first episode. Not all of them are from 1987 but here are some that you may remember:

On the Radio by Donna Summer:

Ain't Nobody by Chaka Khan (which was also used in the classic 80s dance movie Breakin'):

Rumors by Timex Social Club:

White Horse by Laid Back (which you may recognize because it's been sampled in many other songs including Touch It by Monifah):

Meeting in the Ladies Room by Klymaxx:

Paid in Full by Eric B & Rakim - this is the original version:

This is the more well known Coldcut remix:

Saturday Love by Cherrelle and Alexander O'Neal:

And I know that everyone knows this one, but I had to include it!
I Wanna Dance with Somebody - Whitney Houston

I loved that they used so much straight up pop this week!

Only in My Dreams - Debbie Gibson

Head to Toe - Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam

Slave to Love - Bryan Ferry

I Heard a Rumor - Bananarama

They're Playing Our Song - Trinere (classic freestyle!)
This song was listed on this episode's soundtrack but I don't remember hearing it. I'm leaving it here for now because it's an awesome song.

"Word Up" is the best funk song of all time and I was so happy to hear it tonight.

I always associate Rumors, Word Up, and The Rain together so I’m just waiting for Oran Juice Jones to make an appearance on the soundtrack before the season ends!

Ryan Murphy shows aren’t perfect but they always have great songs from whatever era they take place in. I love seeing what songs will pop up in every episode.

Since we’ve already had Lisa Lisa and Exposé, I hope we get some more freestyle girl groups like the Cover Girls or Sweet Sensation!

ETA: Thanks to Wikipedia, I just learned that one of the girls in Exposé is now married to Peter Reckell aka Bo Brady on Days of Our Lives!

Even though I know they finished editing these episodes a while ago, I love that last week I wanted Sweet Sensation and this week I got my favorite Sweet Sensation song! Now I REALLY hope we get the Cover Girls before the season ends!

It’s a real tribute to this show is that it can take a song that was corny even when it was released - “Break Out” - and make it cool.

I would love to see what this show would do to Nu Shooz’s “I Can’t Wait.” That bass line!

I found Billy Porter and MJ Rodriguez's duet of Home on YT.

One of my favorite funk songs for sure.

I love all the 80s music used on Pose. Brings back so many great memories. We haven't had any New Edition, have we? The rights to its music is probably high.

So many great New Edition songs, but I feel like a really good one for the show would be "If It Isn't Love." Although that song was released in 1988 and on the show, it's 1987.

Also, I bought Billy and MJ's "Home" and Billy's "For All We Know" off Amazon.

Thank you thank you thank you to @ElectricBoogaloo for all your hard work on this thread. To see all the songs in one place is AWESOME! Building my play lists now! I assume since Spotify has the official playlist, there is nothing on iTunes/Apple Music?

There isn't an official playlist on iTunes but I was able to find playlists created by people who watch the show.  A lot of them keep their lists very current to the episodes.
