While Ron speech was nice and he seemed to get it. There's no way he's in right mindset to return to the drinking/strip club going group.  Not to mention Sammi is not going on vacation with him.

Miami he chose to move to? Still a party town.

It was good of Mike and Lauren to get Sammi out of there.

Interesting they haven't replied to his messages in 2 years, I think more happened than what they trying to say.  All of the collectively stopped talking to him.

My guess is that either MTV or Ronnie don’t want to participate in a full season of his story.  He probably has some sort of contract with MTV where he appears in a handful of “serious” episodes in order to collect a paycheck. It helps him financially and there’s probably something in the contract that keeps him from speaking negatively about MTV or writing a tell all book about the show.

I hate to say it but Ron's face screams meth to me. The difference between his skin now vs. the continual flashbacks they showed was jarring.

I know he told Mike he was following a program but (I think it was) Paulie's comment that he's still out at the clubs. Curious if he has any family or friends in Miami. I wonder what happened with his ex, She must really be in a bad place if they gave Ron sole physical custody in spite of his recent issues.

I would think he'd be interested in doing full seasons because he'd get paid more than appearing here and there.

He says he reached out to them and nobody responded.  They didn't want to be associated with his domestic violence problems -- how did he get custody with DV arrest and substance abuse history?

Was it Jenny who worried that Ronnie's problems would end the show?  Someone else agreed and didn't seem happy at the prospect of losing the show and their incomes.

Deena said "who invited him?"  Well it doesn't seem like they had the choice to opt out of sitting down with him, though I guess the producers are sparing Sammie from having to do so.  They sure played it up like she'd have to talk to him a bit.

If MTV believed that Ronnie would help ratings, they would find a way.  One of the early seasons of this Family Vacation show heavily featured all his social media viral videos.  So they would use that as an easy way to build a season story line.

Who knows, maybe all the bad stuff he was involved in got some people to tune in and they had high ratings in those seasons than now.

That seemed awkward at the table.  Jenni wasn't feeling this Ron reunion. I like how she just left for sunglasses.

Pauly wasn't looking like he believed it either.

Angelina of course used Ron meeting to bring up her issues.  She doesn't get they don't want to talk to her.

Jenni doesn't like her isn't a shock. It's only been like a decade. Lol at saying Jenni is giving her honesty.  Go Jenni for being real.

Where ever the spouses were probably was more fun to watch.

Sam's not wanting anything to do with seeing Ronnie and she's right he's someone she dated a long time ago.  It was abusive nobody should be forcing her to speak to him.

For heavens sake.  When will Angela (as she was known in high school) give it a rest.  How many times does Jenni have to tell her she is not her friend and that she doesn't like her.

Then Angela still has to  badmouth Jenni by saying  to the other girls that they have more fun when  Jenni isn't around.   If that isn't a  obvious  attempt to get them on her side I don't know what is.  She just needs to grow up, stop picking  fights, and try to act like an adult.

Look like Ron wants to get back on the show.

It's not just about making amends and then leaving for good.

They don't get to choose who's on the show if they want that paycheck.  So Sammi is going to have to have some conversation with Ron too because it seems like the producers want him back on.

Snookie showed some awareness, like Jenni didn't really mean it, Angelina must be on her period too, she's an empath.

Did they get to eat the pizza baked on the wood pans?  You're suppose to put DiGiornos directly on the rack.

Angela's constant character assination of Jenni to anyone and everyone  she sees  is  ok in her mind,  yet she gets all bent when Jenni tells her, to her face, why she can't be  friends with her.   That's  twisted.    The meatballs  have so much fun with  Jenni but Angela  only has fun when she has Snooki and Deena to herself.   Jealousy.   She's  playing a  nasty, childish game of "King of the hill" and making an even  bigger  fool of herself.

Jersey Shore Family Reunion renewed for season 7, with higher ratings for this almost done season 6 (done after part 2 of the reunion airing this Thursday).

Quote

The series has been renewed for Season 7, which is slated to premiere in 2024. The news comes as the current season is scoring some of its best ratings in years.

The latter half of Season 6 managed the franchise’s its highest rating and best share in two years, up 2% and 1%, respectively, over the previous season.

When Season 6 returned to airwaves in August, it helped boost MTV’s Thursday primetime rating more than 300% over its previous weekly average to become the best season premiere for Jersey Shore Family Vacation in more than four years.

Audiences have been buzzing about the season online as well, according to Paramount Global. Throughout the season, Family Vacation raked in more than 18M total engagements, which is up 128% season-over-season.

Really surprising.

Did Sammi's return make that big an impact to ratings or to social media engagement?

Or Angelina's search for her real family or her latest tiresome beef with other members of the cast?

I watched the season but I didn't think it was particularly remarkable.  Sure made a big deal of Sammi's return but that wasn't that big a deal to me.

I have to say the early seasons of Family Vacation were more compelling, Mike's redemption, the incarceration, the release from jail.  They bonded because he'd become a new man compared to the Sitch in the original series.

They're getting paid more money than they did in the original series it seems.  But not sure they're getting the ratings that the original series got, when the show and some of the figures became like national or international figures, going on the major talk shows and so forth.

Personally, I didn't enjoy the show when it first returned. Now that they seemingly realize they're all adults, most with families, and the vacations are structured to reflect that, it's far more entertaining.

If they would just jettison Angelina and all her drama, it would be perfect. Love that Sammi is back. Glad it was renewed. Curious to see how they integrate Ronnie and how quickly he goes off the rails again (no, I don't believe he's clean).

Enjoyed the Watch Party show where Vinny, Angelina, Nicole, Jenni and Sammi watched the pilot show.

They were laughing and cringing at how each other and themselves looked, the bad hair and fashion choices, the things they said, the behavior.

It's only been 15 years or so and I guess they had enough self-awareness to look at their silly young selves.

Even with a strong dislike of Angelina, I still misted up watching her meet her family. The aunt/sister/cousin were all cool but her dad was walking red flag. All he saw was dollar signs. I really hope that's not why she's crying in the previews.

Not looking forward to Ron drama.

I thought the same about dad--he was too focused on the money

Mike's story and Lauren too was the best part. He's done so well if changing his life.

Angelina is just a mess.  I can't believe Angelina if her narrative is true or not since she brought the cameras to the meeting last week.  If it was their first time meeting cameras should not be there. Plus they started the daddy is a good digger last week on camera.

Her relationship with Vinnie 2.0 being over?  Not a shock, she called the cops on him.

Remember when Jenni was the bad guy for asking questions about the insta engagement. Lol she's just proven right.

I felt bad for Angeliner, remind me not to wear my Rolex if I ever meet a long lost family member. I think we all saw some shady angle with Vinny2.0 being so quick and then to hear the shit he was doing to her, all again money is involved. I really hope she is getting some therapy to deal with everything. I liked Chris her ex. I am glad Mike is doing so well with his recovery and sad that Laurens lost a brother to addiction. I only watch this for Snooki

In the early seasons, Mike flipping his persona around was the best story.

The Incarceration was making amends not just with the cast but society.

They didn’t show how low he’d gotten or that Laurens was there for him.  They didn’t even note that he went to rehab.  Usually people who go through rehab for addiction are like evangelists, since 12 Steps is based on religion.  But Mike wasn’t annoying to the roomies that way.  He was just sure that he was finally on the right path and took some ball-busting and being a good sport bout it.

His winning personality made the group bond again, though back in the OG days, he was a source of antagonism for many.

That father of Angelina probably bailed on her when she was born.  She doesn’t owe him anything because she got genes from him.  Sounds like she grew up in a better environment than what her biological Father would have provided.

Still amazed at what MTV must be paying at best a marginal cast member.  She’s only been back a couple of seasons and she’s bought a new home — or maybe more than one — and several cars.

Now she’s driving a Porsche SUV, wearing Rolexes.  Is it a wonder that Her “fiancée” buys himself a Porsche truck and running up bills on an Amex that she apparently gave him to use?

Hope she’s putting away some money because she can’t assume it will be forever.

Seriously how much money could Chippendales be paying Vinnie?  How many would go to that show because he’s in it, some F-list reality TV celeb?

Then again apparently Pauly sells a lot of tickets to his DJ shows — which are so 2000s.  Now people go to see them at casinos, not clubs?

I thought the Chippendales thing was a cheesy little story line.  But he claims women are coming up to him in bars now though that may be from being on TV more than Chippendales.

Angelina said that her house is paid off, so it appears she's doing something right with that MTV money. I suspect the same is true for most of the OGs. I'm sure that's what finally drove Sammi to return and why Ron's itching to come back as well.

I'm sure Vinny's earning bank from those Chippendale's shows. He (and Ron) have always been my least favorite. Vinny acts likes he's better than everyone. My arm chair theory is that he has a a lot of self-loathing and I wouldn't be shocked if he came out as gay or bi later in life.

Pauly's the one with true fuck you money. All the residencies/gigs he's done over the years add up.

So now Angelina has Chris on side, while living with the fiancee and also interacting with the guy she cheated on Chris with?

She needs a time out, just get your soap opera life together without the cameras.

This show would have no real drama without Angelina - now that Ron is out of the picture. His early season lunacy got too dark, and they need some mid-level angst. The rest of the cast can't seem to provide that.

If previews are any indication, the Sam/Ron interaction is minimal and big ol' nothing burger. I'm a huge fan of the OG but even I have to admit that watching all of them sing kumbaya and play pranks couldn't fill a show that has now run LONGER than the original Jersey Shore.

Angelina's drama is hopefully all played up and scripted, otherwise wow what a trainwreck. And she wants a kid now?! Get your life together first, girl.

Seriously, how much $$ is MTV paying her that both the fiance AND the bio dad are sponging off of her? I live in NJ, those McMansions they all own ain't cheap - even if they bought in a lower market a few years ago, the taxes could kill a person.

I liked her first husband - she should cut Vin 2.0 loose and go back to him. And maybe be a little smart with her money. The bio dad was either a plant or a real crumb - how could you be such a transparent user KNOWING your kid films a reality show and is going to talk about you?!

Ron is suppose to come back though right?

I noticed Sammy already has a new Mercedes SUV.  It didn't take her long.

Vinny talking about settling down, whatever.  Pauly says he's happy with Nikki and they showed clips from the past but apparently she has decided not to do any reality TV for now.  Last time she was on it was that water fight with Angelina.

They showed clips of the cast, even from just 2020, they look so much younger.

Angelina was next level disgusting this episode, all the Sam's house and she brought her back and will take her out. I agreed with one thing she said, she Sam's back she should go now and let her take the spot.    Angelina needs to go after those crazy to the camera melt downs, she needs time to figure herself out.

Angelina needs to get the only reason she go asked back is because Sam wouldn't do it. Also the show and fans wanted Sam back for years, it was always Sam saying no.  So this "I brought her back" narrative is ridiculous.

Angela is always talking because she thinks she is the most important person on the show.    She doesn't realize it's an ensemble cast.

Notice, she's always mistreated by everyone, neglected, used for her money or notoriety, can't hold on to relationships, etc?  That tells me she is the problem.   I wish she'd get mad and leave the show again.

She was clearly playing for the cameras, repeated the line about bringing Sammy back and she can take her out again.

Did that twice while looking straight at the camera.

Sammi was playing along so they'd have a little confrontation.

It wasn't going to be some low drama return to Seaside so they ginned up something out of nothing.

And it was the producers and MTV who pushed to get  Sammy back.  Angelina has nothing to do with the big salary Sammy must be getting to buy a new home right away and a new Mercedes SUV -- maybe that's a lease.

Yeah I'm sure the camera crew just happened to be at Mike's home when Laurens decided to do a pregnancy test.  They knew she was pregnant so they re-enacted the little testing scene.

Do Vinny and Pauly not get paid when they're AWOL in this episode?

Snookie has a much nicer shore house so the women weren't going to sleep in that house, though that black light to look for stains was schitk.

Angelina is delusional and green with envy. She better watch out - her outsides are starting to match her insides.
Sam owes her nothing. Does Angelina think viewers are stupid? MTV begged Sam to come back for years, did salary negotiations, drew up a contract, and Sam agreed. It has ZERO to do with Angelina.

Speaking about the price of Sam’s house was gross. Also, she purchased it with Justin. Mind your business, dirty hamster.

The girls still suck. They never defended Sam when Ron was abusive to her, and now they’re acting like she’s trying to go 10 rounds with trashy Angie. Maybe shut the girl down and put her in her place?

I’d be jealous of Sam too - still naturally beautiful and now finally secure with herself.
So happy she’s back - Ang is obviously jealous of the attention that’s brought.

100% They're (Jenni especially) likely happy Angelina has a new target but I agree, they did nothing to defend Sam and they really should have.  Maybe Ang would SFTU if was 4 against 1. She's a toxic mess and Sam was speaking facts.

Mike & Lauren's son is a cutie patootie. He's got the best features from both of them.

Too many events where it's just Mike and the ladies. I know Pauly & Vinny are busy but it's not as fun without them.

Not looking forward to Ron's return. IMHO, he & Ang should be permanently booted. Sick of their drama.

Sam took a course in handling conflict or got some really good therapy since 2013. She's not the reactionary 20-something we saw in the original. She handled Angelina like a vet handles a rabid dog.

Mike and Lauren's son is so beautiful, I could cry. My son is 1 right now and I'm just a weepy mess over cute toddler boys. I'm so happy for them.

I hope Vinny and Pauly aren't making as much as the rest of the cast - they're never there!

I am looking forward to Ron's return because of Sam's eventual non-reaction. Everyone is expecting her to have a meltdown and I can already tell she's going to handle it with maturity. Mike's made a transformation, but I think Sam had her own glow-up off camera. After years of being blamed for all of SamRon's drama, I think this might be the final gem in her Redemption Crown. Ron's kind of showed that he's the magnet for drama. I hope Sam holds her head high and kills with cordiality.

If nothing else, this show is a great representation of how bad, silly, and poor behavior in your 20s doesn't have to define you into your 30s. Angelina is likely paid/encouraged by producers to be a hot mess, but I sincerely hope Ron's made strides since the last time he was on the show. That stuff is just too dark for the Shore crew.

I think the arguing is from prompting or hints by producers to stir things up a little bit, like Mike literally stirring the pot.

These people know what made the original show so popular so they know they have to keep bringing some drama.

Look it got them McMansions -- at least two in the case of Nicole -- nice cars, multiple stores selling JS paraphernalia, large families, etc.

They're going to do whatever they need to keep the gravy train going.

I'm sure the producers made it clear to Sam that Ron was going to come back to the show, because his "redemption" tour to return to the show was going to be one of the story lines this season.

So they had a tearful reunion with Ron already -- the women now know how to turn on the waterworks on cue -- and they just need to complete the "voyage."

She had a choice, sign on to come back and get all the money that comes with it, not just from the show but appearances and probably a big boost to her little store, or hold out against dealing with Ron and not coming back to the show.

There will be a little ginned up drama about her not wanting him back and some cast members trying to support Sammi but in the end it's going to happen.

She can hold a grudge but she'd be denying him a chance to earn like she's now earning.

They're like The Sopranos of reality TV, they're going to play ball, not go to war because there's nobody like Johnny Sack among them.

Loved watching the baby news and the reactions of the cast members.  Very heartwarming.

Angela is a nasty little shrew.  Everybody has stuff going on.  Mentally stable   adults don't take it out on others.  Whether producer driven or not it's a  bad look for her just like Rinna's actions were.

I once saw an article saying the fans thought Angela was the most attractive of the girls.  When I see how the turns into a vicious animal I can't agree.   When I watched her slathering all the spackle on her face. She's fake inside and out.   No beauty at all just a facade.

Put your big girl panties on Sam and just accept that Ron is coming back.   You can handle it.  If you feel  threatened I'm sure MVP will intervene in a heartbeat.

This is an entirely subjective conversation, but I could definitely see this during the original run. She was naturally beautiful, just like Sam. And she had moxie. Unfortunately, I think Mike's mean comments and the toxic diet culture of the 2000s did a number on her. The plastic surgery has her looking like a plastic Bratz doll (Jennie hasn't fared much better but at least hers is slightly more subtle). I really find it sad that she felt the need to make such drastic changes to her appearance.

And as always, no matter how beautiful your facade, anyone will seem less attractive over time if their character is poor. DM'ing a married guy is a bad look no matter what's going on in your life and no matter what a producer might have suggested.
