Mary & Dominic: Halfway-House Hunters

The couple very briefly knew each other before he was incarcerated. Shortly after meeting, Dominic got into a fight at a night club and is now serving six years for aggravated assault. Mary has patiently remained by his side, waiting to pick up where they left off. However, prison has changed the former “bad boy” in ways Mary never imagined…Was Dominic worth the wait?

Mary has bugged me from the start. "He got into a bar fight" sounded fishy so I looked up "aggravated assault" in Canada. First of all, Canada doesn't take assault lightly but this is the definition of aggravated assault in Canada "This is a more serious type of assault, usually resulting in serious, potentially life-long crippling injuries, or a real danger of death for the victim. Aggravated assault is always treated as an indictable offense, with a maximum sentence of 14 years in prison." A tad bit more serious than a bar fight, no?

I gave her the side eye on her "the scanner detected drugs" claim, too. Apparently they use an ion scanner that can detect minute traces of drugs that you could have picked up innocently so maybe she's clean but somethings just not right about her. I think she's a liar a little bit.

Probably in prison, when he tried to put up a fight against being someone’s bitch. His entire demeanor screams that he was raped repeatedly in prison.

He is not displaying the demeanor of someone who was incarcerated for assault, that's for sure.

OK, I went and looked.... here’s the article I found. Starcasm is speculating based on a photo. Which to me looks a lot like she’s a bridesmaid because I can’t see her settling for a simple dress for her wedding.

I can’t take Mary seriously with those duck lips. She used to be so pretty but now just looks so unfortunate-looking. She messed up her face with those fillers, she needs to stop. You didn’t even need that in the first place, you had lovely lips naturally. Now you just look like a blowup doll that got over inflated and is about to bust.

Its not just her lips, her entire face looks like rubber. She looks like a blow-up doll. From the painted on eyebrows to how swollen her cheeks look. It's so hard to look at her face I found myself looking away when their scenes come on.

I agree about Mary's face, to me it looks just terrible.  If you notice in the picture from the article which is assuming that to be a wedding photo, she hadn't destroyed her face yet.  The pic is purported to be from 2016.  That's a lot of damage in a short time.  Why oh why would she do such a thing?

So....I did a little sleuthing and in Canada, you don't have to be married to have conjugal visits, but you do have to prove you're common law which means you've lived together for 6 months or more (again, this is Canada.)  According to Mary, they met, dated a very short while then was incarcerated.  She's a lying liar who lies.

Mary was such a horrid person  that I do not feel bad laughing at her inability to walk in heels without doing it like Frankenstein‘s monster would.

Watching their special on a better TV.  So since the early photos and now, Dom got a really nasty scar on his face.  Regardless of the marriage storyline being fake, this guy does not want to go back to prison.  Mary may want to think of him as a big badass.  I think he's over his badass days and wants to lead as quiet a life as possible. 

She is really hard to look at.

I cannot see how it can be true that they only knew each other a month and yet were allowed conjugal / PFV.     I have been a relationship with someone who was in Joyceville where Dom was incarcerated.      We were denied conjugal visits as we were not common law before he was incarcerated.     It is impossible that they would have been allowed conjugals if they only knew each other a month.    It would have been denied.

They were already married, we got the fake storyline for the show. I guess production didn’t do too much research on that prison’s rules.

I watched the Life After Lockup thingie last night and just have to say that Mary must be using the most powerful glamor filters available to alter her selfies, because she looks NOTHING like them in the filmed bits.

OMG, this poor guy again?  I remember feeling so very bad for him, and I rarely feel bad for any of these yahoos unless they are children or parents.

I couldn’t believe they had the Fakety McFakers back on the show, after it was revealed they were already married before they filmed anything on their first appearance.
