He shows up in the Macy's and Kohl's ads that come in the Sunday paper, every once in while. He was also in a commercial for Viagra or Cialis or one of those medications a while ago. If nothing else, he's still out there, making a living.

Just last night I was wondering aloud what had become of Ina's old friend, T.R.  Mr L. looked down at the newspaper in his lap and began to chuckle.  There was TR pictured all over the Macy's ad.  I would say that he's doing well!  He looks older, with white hair and the beginnings of a white mustache, but he still has that unforgettable smile.

The last episode I remember seeing TR in, Ina was making fish and chips to take down to TR's new house down by the water. The two of them shared the meal out on the pier. It was a small house and didn't look like much, but I've no doubt that it cost him a pretty penny being 1. on the water and 2. in the Hamptons.

So that was TR in the Cialis commercial! Thank you, because that was driving me nuts and I couldn't find anything under his bio on the web with that credit.

I think I saw the inside of that house on an episode right after he bought it. It was nothing extraordinary, but I really liked it. Would love to live there.

Is this the same house? Or does TR have another new house:  http://www.cottages-gardens.com/Hamptons-Cottages-Gardens/September-2012/TR-Pescod-plays-up-a-sexy-palette-in-his-North-Sea-home/

I don't think it's him in the Occuvite commercials. This is the only picture I can find of the Occuvite guy http://image.cdn.ispot.tv/ad/7nsL/ocuvite-would-you-take-it-large-3.jpg and I don't think that's TR.

I saw the Ocuvite commercial after my most recent post and the guy in the commercial has brown eyes and I'm pretty sure that TR's eyes are blue.  Both are good-looking guys though!

OK, I thought the kitchen looked similar but I wasn't sure about the rest of the house. It's a lot bigger than I thought from the episode, although they kind of played up the "fishing shack" angle for the show. That is some house, and definitely not a fishing shack.

Wow - TR's new house is gorgeous!  This isn't the little house we saw in that episode (years ago) when Ina cooked fish & chips in his kitchen (which they ate on his dock).  I recognize the dock, though.  No wonder we haven't seen him on any of Ina's shows - he's been working hard over the years, making enough money to build something like this in the Hamptons.  But I think it's time TR invited Ina over for another cooking class so we can see more of his beautiful house.

Vera Charles, I think that story and picture gallery on TR is one of the best I've read on Barefoot Contessa.  THANK YOU for posting the link. My impression has always been that TR lived in an old, run-down, fishing shack, where he could hang his hat, so to speak, and get away from the world. These pictures tell an entirely different story!

Another thing that surprised me: Much as I've loved the eye candy, I've thought that TR was sort of a buffoon, not overly intelligent (but not dumb), a part-time model and a good-time Charley.  Reading what he says and thinks casts a whole different light on him for me.  He really does have a serious side, a lot of intelligence, and he's far more worldly than I knew.

What intrigues me is the unimportant question of whose picture is displayed prominently on the nightstand!

Lura, I think the blue room with the white bedspread is a guest room and the white room with the gray bedspread is the master bedroom. The picture in the blue guest room caught my eye, too, because I thought, "Not even T.R. would have a big enough ego to display a painting of himself on the nightstand in his own bedroom!" Too funny!

My favorite T.R. episode is the one where he and Michael decorate somebody's Chrismas tree in secret (Mo & Jo's?) while Ina prepares a holiday meal for them. He comes off as really funny and friendly in that one, where usually I get a full-of-himself vibe from him. My least favorite is the Fish Shack show. The whole interaction between him and Ina just makes my skin crawl. She acts like a lovesick teenager and he gives off a creepy vibe. I can't watch that one, although the fish recipe is awesome.

I know exactly what you mean, Vera.  I felt that there was a salacious undertone to some of the episode.  I'm willing to admit that my own imagination might have played a part in my attitude, though.  It's not hard to remember that Ina is married and TR is not, that Jeffrey's frequent absences may affect Ina, etc.  And then I think, "Don't be silly!"  I guess this proves only that we're both healthy, red-blooded women with filthy minds!  lol

Vera Charles, I noticed that framed photo in the guest room too and I thought it was kind of weird. TR has a large framed photo of himself on the nightstand in his guest room?

I didn't think that photo was of TR.  I thought it must be his favorite "friend."  Maybe I need to use the magnifier and look at it again.  Even putting it in the guest room seems strange to me.  Is he afraid his guests will forget who their host is?

I looked up TR once on Google and saw something about his acting on a radio show for gays.  I've always thought that was why he calls himself an actor.  If TR isn't gay, he's sure giving the wrong impression.  I think he's pretty much openly gay.  I guess he could be bi and have a mommy thing about Ina, but those are deeper waters than I care to wade into.

His imdb page has four entries, including two episodes of Sex and the City, one episode of Ugly Betty and a movie called The Treat, and another movie called What Maisie Knew, which was released in 2012. In the meantime, he shows up in either Kohl's or Macy's ad pretty much every week. I'd say he's more known as a model than an actor at this point in his career.

I was hoping that TR would dye his hair one of these days, but then I read that older male models are in greater demand these days.  I guess he's smart to leave his hair the way it is.

T.R.Pescod is a "bestie" friend of an acquaintance of mine, and by tracing her FB friends I came across his Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=743557397. He's got some personal photos there, including some of his niece Carter, born in 2009 (he's holding her). He notes that he speaks French. Some of the posts are from friends and acquaintances about his work in various ads and his vacations. There's an inside shot of his home where I think they shot Ina's show? It's been awhile since I saw that show, but I loved his relaxed abode. I liked the vibes I got from his FB page--he doesn't seem egotistical at all. My acquaintance is a multi-millionaire like Ina, so I guess T.R. likes to hang with the rich, though. For awhile she had a very sexy beach photo of him among her FB photos (though he had gray hair all over) , but it's gone now.

Wow...I just looked at the Lands End catalog and found TR looking quite grandfatherly.  He was sitting on a couch (complete with grandpa glasses), slightly out of focus, looking at his "grandchildren" who were playing on the floor while their "parents" were front and center as the key models.  Hmmm...viagra commercials, grandfather shots.  Good thing he's making enough money to continue to live out there on the east end of Long Island.

Thank you - I saw that picture and thought TJ? Then wasn't sure.

OK I must get a different Lands End (west coast) than you guys. But there is an attractive man in a gray turtleneck.

Is that TR? Grey hair and beard?

Photo is just by himself, no children or anything. Caption says: "For the guy who looks great in even the simplest of things."
