Ten Articles Saying Nothing: The Media Thread

Recommended Posts

I just read this in USA Today about episode two.  I'm not sure that it was that bad.  There are plenty of issues, that's for sure, but, I may hang in there. I think it has plenty potential.  I'm just not sure why networks can't seem to find competent writers for some of their supposedly big projects.  ABC did the same thing with The Good Doctor.  I just don't get it.  They get a great cast, then blow it.

can't say this is a surprise. but why the delay? airing episodes 7 and 8 over the holiday week? the show is a mystery; what's revealed in each episode matters. i have the abc channel on roku. hoping that they make all the episodes available.

Maybe make a more likable main character....or make SOMEONE likable? Because people want to root for the main lead, but it's hard when she's a full on piece of shit.

I'll even settle for an anti hero but has their charms in some whacked out way.  This show has nothing but vain and horrible people.

I didn't really expect this to be ongoing, but I really hope they air all the episodes too. I'm caught up enough to want closure and answers :)

Me too.  The last time I had to finish watching a show on-line was Kidnapped, a really good thriller with Jeremy Sisto.  I even ended up buying the DVD -- it was that good.

Ten Days isn't that good, but it's not crap, like Under the Dome or Zoo.

It's certainly better than Salvation, and that show recently got renewed for a second season on CBS.

My understanding is that they're airing something else in its place for now, when the ratings count  -- We're into November "sweeps" already, right? -- and then they're burning off the remaining episodes over Christmas when its dismal ratings don't matter a damn. So it's basically cancelled, but they're airing the remaining episodes for anyone who cares.

I should have said "why the 'extended' delay?"  This sweeps period ends on November 22nd. They could have easily burned off the remaining six episodes by airing two episodes on the 2, 9 and 16th of December. By dragging things out, it seems as though ABC is their going out of their way to make it difficult for viewers. Both in terms of keeping track of what's happened previously, and scheduling those two episodes on December 23rd and 30th, when people are in the midst of the holidays.

Wasn't in love with the show, but I am curious how how things turn out. Since ABC clearly doesn't care about the ratings, I'm hoping the network will make the remaining episodes available on-demand and online sooner rather than later.

Wow, well, color me surprised.  I was enjoying it and thought it was a tight little show--I had no idea it was so unpopular.  Geez, 12/23 and 12/30??  I guess the valley in question is Death Valley.

so, it looks as though there's a possibility (albeit, slim) that there will be a season 2.

not sure how i feel about this. the first set of episodes were so over-stuffed  - in particular, lake's paternity - that there's plenty of material for a second season. problem is, i never invested emotionally in any of the characters to care about what happens to them.
