Citizen is a 21 and up bar just FYI

If the players were at a bar and I could find somewhere to stay out of their view, I'd just stay at the bar. As long as they don't come up to you or you don't go up to them it's fine.

There's only 2-3 places at any given time in Dallas to see and be seen, so I'm not surprised they'd be at the same place. And when you're high profile like Dak AND young, maybe just one place. Thirsty men and women everywhere though, God love it.  Anyway, hopefully they popped the bottle with Dak, said hello, then went on about their evening. I think it would be even more gossip inducing if they snubbed players in public and awkwardly avoided each other.

I do miss Dallas and it's nonsense. Not surprised Holly is getting into bars since she does look older than she is, but I hope she's very, very careful.

You tell em Shelly!

Not calling anyone out, just stating we had a late rehearsal. As long as their nights have been, I wouldn't imagine being energized enough to go out until 1:30 AM. But then again...I'm old.

Me too. Going out these days consists of dinner that's not drive thru and being in bed by 10. I don't know how kids do it these days.

I don't think what you said was calling out, I think others' reactions were. I find you to be a woman of integrity and honesty.  That said, life DOES happen after a rehearsal, I would guess. Although personally, I don't think life would happen for me after about five minutes into a rehearsal....

When the Holly 'scandal' broke last year and she was held back from the USO tour, she locked down her social media and started posting about all the fun sleepovers and movie nights she was having with Sam Finglass and friends... guess time will tell

See this is another reason that I don't really care for Holly. That sounds so contrived to me.......get in trouble, so then get in thick with the director's daughter.

It has to be hard to be young and want to go out, but have eyes on you. I understand she puts herself out there, but it's got to be hard to have that conflict.

This is a huge reason I'm glad I'm a child of the 80s.

Are most clubs in Texas 21+? I didn't go to college in TX, but I'm remembering most bars at that age being 18+, and IDs weren't checked at most places to get in the door.

Mad props for any of the DCC/TCC who can not pass out from exhaustion after working all day, dancing all evening, and then clubbing all night. Makes me tired to think about it.

Cocaine is a helluva drug.

Just kidding. I don't know if anyone does cocaine.

But it IS a helluva drug. If memory serves.

Yes, especially in uptown. The only 18 and over places I can think of are places like Red River on ladies' night. And you can get around some of the 21+ if they serve food, but honestly, the clubs they're going to are 21+ unless you know somebody.

I could be wrong tho, I'm old now ?? Holly wouldn't have hit my radar for underage at any point, but I honestly don't remember much if any younger girls getting in many places Uptown. By SMU or TCU maybe? Hmm. Shall ponder. It's all moot if you know the right people anyway.

I'm curious about the initial round of auditions.  I know Kelli has her yes/no/maybe system in place, but what I'm wondering is, does everybody who get a "yes" or "maybe" go straight to semi-finals?  Or is there a set number they like to take into semis, with Kelli/Judy/Charlotte weeding out some of the "maybes"?  @ShellyB, can you enlighten a curious person?

@ShellyB is Jennifer K involved in training camp this year? I know she taught the audition dance, but I'm wondering if she'll be involved in mentoring/teaching TCCs?

She's doing a lot with Camp DCC and will soon start up the Jr DCC program.

Yes's go thru to semi's, maybe's are up for discussion with final verdict being with K & J. Most likely, the maybe's for a candidate are weighed against how many yes/no's she received. Make sense?

What's the maximum age limit? Could, say, a grown ass woman show up in her own homemade dcc getup trimmed in blue rickrack and learn the dances? Asking for a friend.

Makes sense!  I'm shocked the whole process doesn't take longer than it already does, I imagine there's so much to discuss!

The actual process is down to a science. From opening doors to final contestant performing in in the first two rounds is approximately 6 hours. That's check-in, groups lined up, welcome speech, dancing & test. Finals is a bit different because of the solo component. It's the deliberations, sometimes  h.o.u.r.s....depends on the scenario.

Didn't Kelly say in like season one there really wasn't an age limit other than you have to be 18 and either graduating high school or have already graduated high school? You know if any one wants to do it with me I would be down with it lol! I could see Kelly's "Oh God" reaction now. I have DCC hair and am in my 20's, however my body yeah right. I also have the perfect life story for the camera oh and I could seriously sew my own costume together with my mad sewing skills. If only all the auditions rounds for the DCC were open to the public where we could watch, heck I would even like to watch the interview round and maybe put out a question or too. Oh well wishful thinking I guess.........

I'm pretty certain that it's always a small group of veteran show group members in Oxnard

I would gander the squad will be announced a week or depending on how good the girls are doing in camp, two weeks prior to the first pre-season game.  Judy should already be blocking girls in her mind, if not on paper with the last week prior to the game set for actual set squad rehearsal. I'd say August 4-5th for the announcement unless the girls totally suck or they're all too good and Kelli can't decide who to cut.

They did, but the squad was already announced at that point.

Let me just put this here. I grew up in a city that is famous for its casinos and its clubs. The first time I ventured into a 21 and over club? I was 16.

Girls that are 19-20 just now going to clubs get a high five from me because in reality; when a girl looks like they look and have the words "Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader" attached to their names, the playing field isn't level in the least. Of course they're going to hit the clubs. Why wouldn't they?!

Also, isn't the rule "dating players" not "fraternizing with players"? If it's fraternizing, I think it's ridiculous and stupid to assume that these girls should have to leave somewhere because a player graces the same space with his presence. What a crock of bullshit.

Love Everything about your comments!!

Honestly, in this day and age, you can just show up and tell them you identify as a six year old girl.  I mean, people are identifying as cats and unicorns these days and getting away with it...go for it!!!

OMG YESSS!!

Remember The Simpsons episode where the mental patient sounded like/identified as Michael Jackson?? It's your birthday Lisa, happy birthday Lisa...We're now there.

Our dog groomer is transitioning from female to male, so I recognize, and have always recognized transgenderism as legit (not that it needs me to) but I TOTALLY agree with you. Many (not all) millennials will do anything for convenience....

I'm still not into Victoria ... not sure what it is but I just think she looks a bit spastic and the moves don't click.  I'm also concerned she's going to give herself a concussion if she keeps swinging her head around that hard.  I appreciate her hard work in dance classes and am hopeful she will improve before next year!

If they're following the past years timelines we've got less than 2 weeks before squad announcement. Oxnard is in 5 days and they had the squad announced days before then last year. This no spoilers seasons is killing me.

I wonder if they had the girls do the Nothing but Net challenge again this year. I recall seeing one of the TCC's looking up at a structure that looked like the scaffolding for an oil rig. Well I am watching season 4 and saw Jay have them do the Nothing but Net challenge where thy jumped off the top of a scaffold into a net. I wonder if they did that again?

I'm dying for some spoilers here! Do we even know who has been called in the office a lot this year? That would at least give me someone to root or look out for (like Kelsey last year).
