I felt  bad for Bridgette when she said the allegedly altered tuxedo fit. No, girl, it STILL did not fit. She looked like a little kid wearing her dad's suit. Every part of that suit did not fit. The shoulders were too big, the sleeves were way too long, the jacket was too baggy, the pants were too loose. Apparently no one at Sondra Celli's shop is capable of actually sewing. The only skill they have is gluing rhinestones to any surface.

OMG ALL OF THIS! Isn't Sandra Celli some sort of tailor?! Because it looked to me like she bought an off-the-rack, Big-and-Tall tuxedo and was all, "Here you go! It's bling-y, right?!" and threw it on the poor girl. That shit did not fit her AT. ALL. The vest was enormous! Why didn't she even make some half-assed effort to alter it?

And I kept expecting that giant Bozo the Clown bow tie to start spinning in a mad circle at any minute.

That was just cringe-worthy. Seriously. I felt bad for Bridgette.

Even though she sells wedding gowns and dresses, I don't think she's a very competent tailor/seamstress. It looks like 99% of the dresses are corset tops which means she doesn't have to make them fit. She just relies on the brides having the corset strings pulled tightly until the top fits enough not to fall off. I think she does make the skirts but the only part that has to actually fit is the waist measurement.

Even though many of the relationships/marriages on this show are not real, I still felt bad for Bridgette having to wear an ill-fitting suit on television. She may have signed up to be on the show but I'm sure she didn't expect to be wearing a suit that was about ten sizes too big for her!

Part of me thinks hey, if you can convince people to pay you an obscene amount of money for these ugly tacky monstrosities, then more power to you. But if you're going to charge an arm and a leg for these ridiculous outfits, they should at least fit properly.

That's a FACT. And I loved how she poo-poo'd it all away with, "I even had her measurements." Bitch, please. If you did, you threw them in the trash, ordered that tux on Amazon and called it a day. The rainbow bridal gown didn't even fit—it was too short and too tight in the back causing all sorts of skin spillage over the fabric. The woman is a hack.

And I just watched the girl who had the "million-dollar" wedding gown who needed a "security" escort to the House of Pancakes where the sad reception took place. Every last one of those bills had "specimen" marked on them—that dress wasn't even worth a million pennies

I also get these marriages aren't real but couldn't TLC at least buck up for a decent deil spread at these fake receptions? The 15 or so hapless idiots they get to show up have to sit there drinking from their store-brand water bottles and munching on bowls of Cheetos and whatever is left of a bridal cake that wasn't smashed into the bride's face for the entire duration of filming. TLC could at least make it appear they're at a real reception.

That money dress has got to be the ugliest thing I've ever seen on this show. I almost spit out my drink when Sondra said it was the "best dress they had ever done." Like really? The "bride's" mom was awful but at least she pointed out how hideous the dress was.

Every dress Sondra makes she says “Oh, that’s the best dress we’ve ever made.” As long as TLC keeps paying her, she’s going to say it.

I'm not a super fancy girl and I know people have different preferences, budgets, etc. but all of the receptions on this show seem pathetic, cheap, and downright sad. I've seen sixth grade pizza parties in a classroom where they put more effort into buying food and making the event seem festive. On this show, the attitude seems to be, "Can you find any room in town big enough to fit a folding table and a few chairs? And then can someone run to the grocery store and buy two bags of Doritos and a liter of Coke?"

Well that was a thrown-together B-day party! No decorations except for some neon tape on the floor & the leis. Who was that random guy they got to propose to her? Looked more like one of the Amish than gypsy, did he stumble into the wrong show or did they just grab him as he was walking down the street? TLC getting cheap with the parties & weddings.

I laughed out loud at the sister duo  dresses - they could barely walk 😂😂😂. Every episode usually has a ceremony or reception brawl but this one was pretty low key

This episode was a whole bunch of WTF. First, marrying your brother in law who left your sister for you after two weeks of marriage is pretty screwed up. Second, the mother & sister (was the kid his?) showing up at the wedding (how did they know where it was?) & doing the usual trashy Gypsy routine is also pretty screwed up. Third, what was up with the bride's reaction? Why would she try to call off the wedding? That's exactly what her mother & sister want.

The girl who wants to go to college & become a nurse while her mother wants her cleaning & birthin' babies is also pretty screwed up. Everything about this show is pretty screwed up.

Yeah, it was all fake anyway:

Again, I know it's all fakety-fake, but there were like around 15 people at that "wedding" -- one of whom was the driver of the antique car that towed Karen to the venue. Can't they pay more locals to show up? I did LOL when Maison, for whatever reason, felt it was necessary to fling his shirt off in the parking lot.

I loved the 18th birthday party/surprise random marriage proposal party. (That Hampton Inn where they all seem to live must be living large what with every sad Gypsy party being held at their facility and all.) The supposed groom seemed like he was 11 eggs short of a dozen and, in all likelihood, had probably just gotten out of prison earlier in the day. But, hey, I guess that's preferable to the woman's daughter going to college and becoming a nurse! (Not for a hot second do I believe that that 'proposal' was legit or anything. And frankly, that ring looked like a bracelet.)

Oh my god I was CRINGING when the 18th birthday party turned into a proposal by the saddest looking gypsy in existence.  Where the hell do they find these people?  I'm just glad the wanna-be nurse had a friend she could leave the party with.  That whole business was pathetic.

This show is so formulaic and predictable, and Sondra Celli is a joke.

I call BS on her mother's objections. She had been attending HS all this time & mom  just realized this at time of filming? lol

Wonder if it was even made for her or she was a last minute swap for a bigger person who bowed out.

God but Sam was disgustingly drunk at his "wedding."  What an absolute mess.  He couldn't stand up or speak.  Hopefully he didn't drive off after his "bride" and her cousin.

The other girl, the one with the gorger boyfriend, I couldn't understand a word she said.  First she talked very fast and second it sounded like she had some weird kind of accent I've never heard before on this show.

I will admit to a little thrill when this show showed up on my DVR.  It makes me feel so normal.  No matter how many problems I have, I'm not THAT fucked up.

Sam's ugly as shit too, with the nastiest teeth anyway ! there I said it.

Wow, I thought their parties were lame, but that memorial service was sad. When she was walking behind the coffin, there were only 3 other people with her. The wedding was the usual fake nonsense, but they really made us aware of the film crew this episode. I still don't know why this keeps bugging me, but it does.

It sure was slapped together! the 'rosaries' looked like plastic necklaces.  She had 2 kids, no husband?

A million dollars & needed security! BS! Where's SC & the gypsies  come up with that cash? probably a couple hundred $1 dollar bills if that. The dress gypsy dress designer in England is more creative & skilled IMHO

I could not stop laughing at the sadness of that gypsy funeral! Bonus points for the dearly departed only being photographed in Bret Michaels cosplay.

I loved the idea of how they were "cursed" by Terry having been cremated and not having a "proper burial" (which, I presume consists of depositing dollar-store Mardi Gras beads into a prop coffin because HELLO! I could see the brush strokes from the paint). Their idea of a "curse?" Stubbing their toes and having a branch fall on their trailer during a storm. Oooo! Spooky!

I tried to Google how deal old Terry "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" died but came up with nothing. I'm content knowing it was likely from being stabbed, shot, or having OD'd.

And will these folks kindly please stop trying to make "gorger" happen? (Even though I'm confident they get paid extra every time they say the word aloud.) That word was likely never used stateside until TLC introduced them to the British series. Because, sorry. This is the only acceptable gorger:

giphy.gif

They also need to stop repeating how "respectable" they all are when they their only sources of income derive from scamming the elderly for shoddy paving jobs and manufacturing meth.

And oh god, this week's fake wedding. I could practically hear Lexi's mother thinking, "I have a line coming up...I have a line coming up...LINE!" right before the jumped up and hollered out about the "groom's" mother.

I love this show so much.

Saw some repeats this afternoon while doing some very tedious work at home.  Good grief - the dresses are just all hideous!

One was where she was a gorger (Alyssa and Lacy?) and she was in a pretty pink princess  on steroids.  Hers wasn't as bad as some.  The lime green and pink/orange wild west outfit worn by Kamey?  And her mother said it was more classy than the other gypsies?  It looked Sondra Celli took every scrap of green and pink anything she had and hot glued it to that mess.  And the greens were not in the same hue or even complementary.  Shoes did not remotely go with that dress, but not sure what would exactly.  Then, the money dress.  Ok, we're not morons, that wasn't real money.  You're going to take a million dollars in bills and hot glue it to some dress form, then charge her (TLC) a couple thousand dollars?  Sure.  The blue dress for the gay wedding (where the other bride had an ill fitting suit) did not fit.  Anyone with back rolls, do not wear a dress that exposes your back.  Sondra just makes whatever they want, no matter if they'll look like shit in that style.

All of the partners had at least a suit on (even ill fitting), but Kamey's husband, the one who couldn't find almond champagne at the corner liquor store (LOL), had on his best white tank and a sleeveless vest.   Wanna bet if TLC didn't fly her out to Boston she would've been in some equally casual outfit, too?

The weddings aren't just cheap.  You can have a nice wedding cheaply; they are just tacky.  I'd say done at the last minute, but no it's all just tacky.

Is it me, or do most of the people seem like they need to shower more often?  For all of the cleaning the house non-stop, maybe hop in a shower some more?

While working late one night in the office (waiting on jobs to run) one co-worker said OMG I love that show - they always end up fighting (referring to this show).

I told her it's on during the day - repeats.

Saw two the other day I'd not seen before or didn't pay too much attention the first time around.  One wedding where maybe half of the small attendees were dressed for a wedding.  Guys had suits that matched, there were some bridesmaids, too.  Immediate family was dressed up, not like the typical roll out of bed crowd.

The second one - crowd was your usual - semi rolled out of bed attire.  Gorger and gypsy, so tension......dah dah DAHHHHH.  Big old fight ensued because of the look on the groom's face.  The mother started yelling at him, he yelled back telling security (?) to take her out.  Of course, it went well - NOT.  She was throwing glasses and then vases?  Smacked some younger girl in the row ahead of her on the back of the head (wth - she was just sitting there).  Melee ensued.

It went on out onto the parking lot of the VFW hall or whatever place would hold the event (guessing producers had to pay for the damages?).  Then out onto the streets.  It went from a wedding to an episode of Cops.  The duo got married at the city hall the next day.

I'd say bring it back, but you don't need to add to the drama.  Just observe these people in their natural habitats.

Watching a repeat with the hay mom (totally scripted) with the ridiculous outfits for the baby at the baptism. Then 16 year old Chelsey from Elkton MD who is being forced to marry her 3rd or 4th cousin. I googled just her first name and hometown. First article that popped up, she along with her mom and brother arrested for drug possession and distribution (heroin and maybe meth). She got a suspended sentence? Anyhow, family is back in trouble this year, shot up a house, attempted murder charges for her mom, brother and two guys. Happened in August I think.  Getting married was the least of her problems.
