ElectricBoogaloo June 17, 2016 Share June 17, 2016 Quote A new job puts Taystee close to Caputo. Lorna has to get creative in her marriage. Soso and Poussey deal with some awkward truths. Link to comment
luckyroll3 June 17, 2016 Share June 17, 2016 Oh my goodness, the look on that little girl's face as Lorna and her hubby reached the climax of their "phone sex" almost killed me dead! Lol! 7 Link to comment
JAYJAY1979 June 17, 2016 Share June 17, 2016 I'm liking less focus on Piper...she was not in much of the episode...and I like that Alex has been spun off into another orbit outside of piper...for now. Judy seems interesting especially with a simmering rivalry with Red..as well as her interaction with Poussey. Soso...wow...that was low what she did in her flashback...but I like how at the end she vowed not to make up any tales about Poussey. Tastee as an assistant...comic potential :) 1 Link to comment
SzmuttyPratfall June 17, 2016 Share June 17, 2016 DAMMIT SOSO I WAS ROOTING FOR YOU!!! WE WERE ALL ROOTING FOR YOU!!!!! GAH.... GAHHHH!!!!!! I had warmed up to you so much over the past few seasons but GAAAAHHHHHHH... It'll be interesting to see how Red and King will be impacted by the discovery of the secret fertilizer. Morello and her manicotti man had me rolling. 3 Link to comment
Lady Calypso June 17, 2016 Share June 17, 2016 We get a Soso flashback. Yes! I have been waiting for this to happen! Her and Poussey are so damn cute together. But Soso, no! That flashback was just awful. Judy is such an interesting character to me. I really like her dynamic with Red. Piper is certainly getting her ego inflated, and I am so looking forward to seeing someone deflate it. As much as I have actually been annoyed at Morello and her selfishness so far this season, her plot with her husband had me giggling several times. Their sex roleplay in the visitor's room had me laughing really hard. Taystee as an administrator is kind of entertaining. I've never liked Taystee that much, but she was good in this episode. 6 Link to comment
Mya Stone June 18, 2016 Share June 18, 2016 I giggled so hard at GRRM's shout out, and Taystee calling herself the hand of the warden, with Poussey saying "Yeah, but don't they all die in those books?" 4 Link to comment
Clanstarling June 19, 2016 Share June 19, 2016 Loved Tastee's scenes. I have lost more calls on phones than I can count. I am terrible at it. It's embarrassing. At least Soso owned her awfulness at the end. It was really kind of sweet. Gangsta Piper isn't doing it for me at all. But I'm looking forward to the Red/Judy showdown. 2 Link to comment
Princess Sparkle June 19, 2016 Share June 19, 2016 It was a small moment, but I laughed so hard when Gloria asked her son "Kickstarter? What does that mean?" and his response was to scrunch his face and say "Not much really". 12 Link to comment
GreekGeek June 19, 2016 Share June 19, 2016 OK, how long will it take until someone turns up those body parts in the garden? I thought Judy would, for sure. Link to comment

jsm1125 June 27, 2016 Share June 27, 2016 One minor thing surprised me about SoSo's flashback: She claimed she was 19 when she was at the home of the alleged sex offender, but Hurricane Katrina updates were playing on his TV. If Katrina was back in 2005, and SoSo was only 19, wouldn't she have been nearly 30 when she first arrived in Litchfield? I can't tell if SoSo is supposed to be older than I initially thought (I had her pegged at anywhere from 20-23), or if she lied about her age when she was at that front door? I liked the nods to the earlier season when Poussey, SoSo, Watson, Cindy and Suzanne were discussing the most unfair things that they have seen at Litchfield: Pornstache exchanging sexual favors with the methheads for drugs and Piper getting furlough. 1 Link to comment

I had always pegged Soso for a bit younger too, but I think she's supposed to be a little regressed and naive, which can give the impression of being younger. Even though she said she was 19 at his front door and said it sort of like it was a lie, I do think she was in college only because I can't imagine that a high school adviser would listen to high school kids make a bet about going to a sex offenders house and only say "no one has to go anywhere they don't want to" and not "Uh, nope, no one is going to the sex offender's house; try again." So maybe she was 18 (or a really young freshman in college and was 17 turning 18 before the end of the year) and said 19 to make sure he'd let her in the house. 3 Link to comment

I like the way this season is shaping up in this regard. I actually don't mind Piper's plot because it's actually supporting, but I do think her panty business is interesting. I don't get why she was acting how she was though. You can't run the business if people are quitting. Though Piper is correct; there is an infrastructure. You need a contact on the outside. I don't get how they'd be able to run the operation. When I lived in the SF Bay Area, I talked to a lot of those people, since they were out in my neighborhood at the shops. They all had to be 18 though. Is there a reason why Healy is talking differently? Or am I imagining it? I'm actually really liking Taystee/Caputo. Edited July 10, 2016 by ganesh Link to comment
