Somebody was watching Alias again. GirlSpy's handlers name is Vaughn. Just like on Alias and he turned to be Syndey's love interest.

I don’t think Michael’s exit story would have been horrible burns if there wasn’t a timer ticking down for Michael to come back. If Chad isn’t ready to come back, I have no doubt Michael will return with a reconstructed face (even though the burns didn’t damage it.) There’s only so long they can stretch out this custody battle and Sasha’s baby without him. Then they can play out a Tale of Two Michael’s a few years down the line when Chad is interested in a steady paycheck again.

I dunno. I’m thinking that’s exactly why the burns didn’t touch his face. I’d love to be wrong but this is Frank we’re talking about 🤷‍♀️

If Frank really does want to hold the role open indefinitely, and that goes on too long, they can always just have Carly/Sonny/Jason talking about how Michael met and fell in love with someone who works at the clinic and decided to stay in Germany.  

Of course, that makes everything else he should be involved with pretty anticlimactic, but it sure wouldn't be the first time that GH (or any soap) built something up and abandoned it.  And for the Sasha's baby storyline, if they are going to have her and Jason fall for each other, it kind of works better for Michael to be gone a longer time so that Jason has been raising the baby for a decent chunk of time. More conflict there.

Frau Blucher who he falls in love with.

She could take Sasha's job, too, since she's a whiz at making Ovaltine.
