I know some of yall have said this Rookie Candidate class seems overly big but in reality they only took one more candidate than they did last years class. With that number they were still able to cut 2 more than the amount to get to 36 so anything is possible on a cut night. I have no doubt that the ladies that make up the squad whether it be 36 or 30 will be the perfect mixture for what is needed for the upcoming season.

I can't believe they've already let madeline and Maggie perform! I feel like they've never let them do that before. Obviously they're in...they have to be

If Kelli is doing this and saying to maddie and maggie "well, maybe you won't make it still..." that is just WRONG.  it's one thing to make SG and not officially make the team but to have them in their uniform performing at a huge event then being like NVMIND...that would seriously tick me off and I genuinely like Kelli.

is that really show group? The one girl looks like Rayee and she didn't make SG.

Madeleine! Yes!!!! If only the video was a little less rushed when panning over the girls! 

It seems like such a big deal is made out of TC being like an apprenticeship in which all RC have yet to earn the uniform until the "you've made the team" moment; especially when there is that idea that RC are labelled as alternates only for show group and still yet to earn their place. I can't imagine they'd be putting TCCs out there on an appearance unless they are pretty much guaranteed a spot.

To me, it looks like Lacey, Robin, Holly, Maggie, Jenn K, Maddie, Amy T in the video.

Could it be there will be a segment in the show where the girls "compete" for a chance to dance in uniform/make an appearance as a RC?

Ahhh I see...wow, that doesn't look like Lacey's spunk if that makes sense lol But it makes sense it would be her and not Raylee. 

I swear if they are just teasing Maddie and Maggie with this I will be SO pissed.

I am unsure how to feel about this. I didn't share this before but they gave Jackie an appearance to see how she would look and interact and so on as a little test. She had gotten comments about her personality and ability to interact with people in small and large settings, obviously she didn't pass the "test".I could see it as a test and as a opportunity to see if they have the power as the rest of the vets. As well as they needed bodies considering some vets are indeed missing. Maggie I think is gorgeous with her fluidity but I am personally not crazy about her face and hair. Madeline I just don't think ill ever be a fan of sadly, she reminds me so much of a cartoon or one of the many snapchat filters in her face. I truly do want to like her I just will never picture her as a DCC in the looks and appearance standpoint. Time will only tell and next week will be here before we know it!

I think the "logic" is to spice up a show that has been one for many seasons. Stuff like this will foster increased competition and cattiness. I mean, can't you see them cutting someone who has already been out and about in the uniform for good TV? I can.

Once again, the DCC Training Camp plot thickens. It is interesting they might be testing out the Training Camp candidates who made Show Group by having them be part of a performance before the team has been announced. Did the Show Group vets who were not at the performance bow out for their own reasons or did Kelli and Judy decide to test the three or four TC candidates by asking a few vets to sit this performance out?

Gosh - to me the very first DCC shown looks a lot like Kelsey?   Who are we saying that is?  Lacey?  Isn't Lacey smaller than that?

That half second footage of Madeline's dancing didn't look that great to me actually - her shoulders and rib cage seem too out of control in a hip hop way - almost not stiff enough - she doesn't quite match the DCC dance style IMO.

Ugh - did they really have to include the Vivian "wink and point" in that little promo?  How she did that was so annoying.    Emily looked really pretty in her little speaking part.  Who was that who fell in the kicks down the floor?  So embarrassed for them....;/.

I'm not sure if we can judge Madelines dancing from that vid, the cameras literally on her for 0.2 seconds. Goddamit Tamra! You had one job! 

If they've put those girls in the uniform to then snatch it away again, I will be disgusted actually. Ill totally lose respect for the whole organisation.

And I'll never watch making the team again. 

(I definitely will I'm just saying that for dramatic effect)

Having said that, and thinking that those girls would now be shoo-ins, there's nothing quite like being up in front of a crowd to make a good performer rise to the occasion. It's actually a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate a level of showmanship that is almost impossible to replicate in any TC situation. 

I'm sure the appropriate disclaimers would have been made if required: "we're giving you a chance to show how great you can be out there in a true performance situation".

Theyre not going to put anyone out there that they don't think are ready for it.

Because I'm a creep who never sleeps, I perused Instagram for more angles of last night's performance. In this picture, you can see Kelli Q on the big screen between Jessica and Madeline. So I'm guessing they had everyone from show group up there. 

And here's a (really far away) video  where you can see the whole line. The three rookies fit right in!

If there were vets who truly couldn't make it, I guess that's when the alternates would step in.  Odd, though, that it was enough so all the RCs could perform.

I've never seen the rookie candidates perform before training camp is over, they must have really liked them. I doubt they would put them up there if they felt they weren't ready, can't have them being embarrassed.

that's kind of how i feel? I mean, it's one thing to send a girl to an appearance at a tanning salon but to perform at a huge event like that annual Advocare thing?? Isn't one of the previous Cowboys a spokesperson for Advo too? obviously a big deal program so I can't imagine they'd just throw anyone in.

I know Drew Brees is a spokesperson, not sure about the Cowboys but they're a huge sponsor of Advocare. They have the Advocare Classic played at their stadium and most of the events that the show group performs at are a lot of Advocare type events. It's a big deal for the organization.

it's the Cowboy that people thought was dating Abigial Klein for a while...what the heck is his name! i think he's even in some advo commercials...but yeah, i know it's a big event for them so it makes me really excited that they put Maggie, Maddie and Kelli in! The only one I didn't see was Mandy...

Yes they have sent girls out on tests before.  Remember the girl from years ago who couldn't talk about current events.  They sent her out or wanted to send her out and she told her boyfriend to reply to them that she couldn't because "he didn't do nothing at work all day".  They never got an email and she was gone.  I would imagine that RC that go out could be fitted with any number of uniforms left over in the closet.

Having girls perform at such a huge event with show group cannot be some kind of test. That's on an entirely different level than an appearance test. Because if they screw up, it makes the DCC look bad. There's no way Kelli & Judy would risk that kind of bad exposure. The logical answer is they needed the RC to dance for one reason or another, and they knew they could do it. Pretty much means their position is secure within the organization- for this season. I think everyone is overthinking this.

So this is a historic thing that the've let RC perform in uniform as DCC before the squad announcement?   It does seem a little out there to me - like remember when Olivia S. was really nervous about performing w/ show group as a rookie?   Was the timing definitely after the squad announcement?  Could it have been edited to look like it was and it really was the same situation?

Either way, the other rookie candidates are probably pretty jealous - like wow, not only did these girls make show group and they didn't, here they are performing in uniform at big events - where they are still stressing about whether or not they will be cut - way to emphasize where everyone stands in that rookie class off the bat, K&J ;).   If it's never been done before, I'd imagine that even some of the rock star show group vets are pretty jealous too.  If Holly is as closet competitive as she seems to me, I bet she's pretty mad they got to do that when she didn't when she was a rookie TCC.

I've been watching since season 1 (2006) and never saw that done, not even on the first (2005) show.  Didn't Kelli once or twice say in past seasons that a spot on SG doesn't guarantee on spot on the final  squad?

I think all of these girls go in knowing competition is fierce and some girls are going to get opportunities they are not. Kind of how it works - very little is 'fair'.  Also doubt Holly is throwing an inner fit that new girls are getting to perform at stuff she did not last summer LOL As long as she is still getting to do this type of performance I'm sure that's all she or any of the vets care about. 

I also don't think this solidifies anything for the new girls.  I think it's a HUGE deal and I will be upset if they still get cut after something like this but at the same time, I get it.  It's a show and a business and they can run things however they want to make sure they get the best girls possible AND make a dramatic program. 

I will say I'm sure this makes the RCs not on show group incredibly nervous to know some are already getting to perform in uniform and they are still on shaky ground.
