Ha, this episode was worth it just for the toilet scenes in the beginning!

 

I was wondering why Abbi didn't either go buy a super cheap scarf (which you can get on the street for a few dollars) to hide the tag or just go to the art show and say it was a statement about the western consumerist society. But then it all made sense when it splatted all over her roommate's painting (who kind of deserved it - who takes two years to paint an all white painting?).

 

I loved imagining real life Abbi and Ilana going to the production crew and telling them that someone had to create the biggest balls you've ever seen and then paint them a goldish bronze. "Make sure you get some pubes in there. This needs to be realistic."

 

Loved Lincoln's graduation and how much Abbi and Ilana cheered for his "performance."

It's hard to see, but it's a light grey/beige on white. It's a giant fingerprint.  But no, still not worth two years of work.

 

There was SO MUCH in this episode I really thought the episode was wrapping up right when they decided to still go to the gallery, but no, there was time for all the gallery shenanigans too AND the security tag paid off, big time.

I could watch Abbi and Ilana have weird, random adventures around NYC all day. Plus, a splash of Lincoln and his circus graduation! 

 

There were certainly easier ways for Abbi to deal with the tag on her clothes, but then it wouldn't be Abbi. Some would say "cover that with a scarf" while Abbi would say "have IIana bite it off with her giant teeth". The choice is obvious. 

 

So much always happens every episode, and yet the plots are always so minimal. Its very impressive.

I actually thought the punchline was going to be that the artist friend would turn out to be a pretentious bitch (in a different way) and instead the Abbie and Ilana would get raves for their own art/attire.  So the ink as an expected gag worked well in the end.  It was not my favorite episode but it was good and quite funny at times. 

 

I think my favorite line for some reason was the 'nice ass" reply "I know!"  It was just the right blend of tired of hearing it but still a little bit not.

Thanks for this.  I was trying to figure out the best way to re-watch the opening, and I think the answer needs to be freeze frame.

 

Did anyone else notice how Ilana's cap changed with each segment? First, it said "Perv", then at the graduation, "Lincoln", then from the port-a-potty through the art gallery, "Bad".

 

Glad this show's back.  I missed my girls.

I watched the opening a few times to take it all in. They could have just done the entire show like that and I would have been fine. I'm no prude, but I never went down on/received on the toilet. I guess if you have roommates? But Ilana has her own room, so it's not like you're sharing a bedroom. Now I have to do this. 

 

Small moment, Lincoln was totally serious about canceling his plans to help out. That's totally him. I don't know anything about Sex and the City, but I always find Lincoln a lot of fun. 

 

Seriously, though, Abbi looked *fantastic*. Wow. 

 

I knew that the ink was going to explode, but I still gasped when it happened. I liked the one guy who started clapping though. Obviously, getting a blazer or a wrap would have solved the problem. On the one, she didn't actually steal anything, so whatever. I figured going *all the way back home* would have taken a really long time, and they were dealing with the chain situation too. 

 

If I invited Abbi somewhere and she showed up looking that gorgeous. What tag, seriously. 

 

Ilana really let it out tonight: let's just get married. I wonder if that's going to me more of a theme this season.

 

I would have thought Illana taking off her pants and greasing her legs would have been a better plan than going up top. Not as funny, but I would have felt bad that she was bleeding.

I'm really disappointed that there's no blumpkin gif. (That's a sentence I never thought I'd write). 

 

I recently had to take down the whole post about the Season 2 pegging episode when it got flagged by one of our ad providers, so...I'm not trying to get our shit banned! it's the same reason I skipped the dresses in the montage -- Ilana pulling her hem up to blow-dry her pubes or whatever she was doing.
