Little Women: Atlanta - General Discussion

The newest group of Little Women chase big dreams down south in Atlanta! The ladies hit the town for a night at the club, but things get heated when the tiny twins, Andrea and Amanda, face off against Bri and Emily. Minnie's love life becomes a point of contention in the group and one of the girls is brought to tears when she reveals her pregnancy to the father.

Did anyone else watch?

I think we've finally reached the bottom of the heap with this show. First, the idiocy of having the nicknames "left cheek/right cheek". Those are worse than Freakabritt. They are literally telling people to call them asses. I felt like I was watching an episode of Jerry Springer/Maury Povich with all the cursing, who the baby daddy accusations, lowlife boyfriends, babies living with grandparents, and "jobs" that include nightly alcohol intake and shaking asses for cash. This is a whole show of Freakabritts and I thought she was intolerable.

they are certainly trying to set up a Kim vs NeNe drama here with the Miss juicy vs Mama Bear but it's so tacky. So they shake asses for cash? and people like to go to clubs and watch Little People dance because they have big asses? It seems like that is what Left Cheek was saying. I mean I would not go to these clubs, and I live in the ATL (I have a small butt so I guess i have the worst ass in the A. T ..L!))

LOL>> I thought the same thing - Dawn (paralegal) would go nutz here

I just hate the whole cast I especially hate Emily = why would she want a child in her circumstances? who will pay for it whien she can't twerk?

and who knew that a large city like Atlanta had a whole club scene revolving around twerking little people while a couple old Heifers (Tanya's words fit here)

sit at the bar "ruling" the night life? Ugh

TMZ is reporting that Minnie is pregnant by Pastor Troy no less, and the pregnancy will not be featured on the show.

MINNIE BUN IN THE OVEN

"Little Women: Atlanta" stars Ashley "Minnie" Ross and rapper Pastor Troy are expecting a little miracle to join them soon ... TMZ has learned.

Sources close to the reality stars tell us Ashley just found out she's pregnant with PT's baby and both are very excited.

Ashley and PT's off-and-on romance has been covered on the show, but we're told they want to keep the pregnancy off camera ... so no diaper drama story lines, for now.

Even though their relationship was shaky for the last 8 months, our sources say they're good now. Obviously, they were VERY good on at least one occasion.

#Congratulations

The tiny twins are cute but honestly they bother me a little bit. They brought a pregnancy test and asked her to pee on it, really??? I just thought that was really lame. All of these girls seem to lack respectable character to me. I do like watching though so i feel a little contradicting lol. I just wish they went about their differences a different way....like be a little more straight forward without taking things to an ignorant level.

I think the 2 twins moved to Atlanta, not to twerk in clubs, but to be on the show. And the producers spun it into their storyline that they moved for their careers and going to clubs. Who moves away from their little son, no less, to twerk in clubs?? And might I add, the SAME clubs as left and right cheek. Riiiight. And why did the baby daddy/boyfriend have to go if he sits around the house all day? But so do the twins! Why couldn't they take their child w them?? Maybe also bc they were living w the grandparents and they have bn raising the boy. I'm not sure but something isn't adding up, they are pretty ditzy. The one girl that's pregnant probably planned it so she could get a spin off and be Tera 2. She's pretty but very uneducated and clueless about the real world.

They all seem uneducated and clueless about the real world. Out of the six main players, five have children with A) no husbands or consistent life partners, just sperm donors, B) no real jobs, and C) most don't seem to be caring for their children full time due to both A and B. Wait, I take that back. If that story is true about Minnie, at least she appears to have a real job as a hairdresser. However, the rest of them can barely put a complete sentence together and seem to think twerking at bars is a legitimate career. I can't believe bars waste money actually paying these girls to do that. I thought bars just let in a few pretty girls without the cover charge and gave them a couple free drinks to get them to do the same thing for free.

Wait, Minnie has children? I thought when she was getting the pedicure with her mom and the twins, she said something to the effect of "as long as Minnie not pregnant","and her mom even said " hallelujah" or something. So how do five of the six have kids, given that Amanda doesn't seem to have children either? The ones who have children are Emily, Bri, Monie and Andrea. I have watched the show with vivid attention since the beginning. Why are people saying 5/6 have kids? What am I missing here?

There was a link to an article in another thread that said Minnie is now pregnant with Pastor Troy's (was that his name?) child. Is it true? I don't know, but it's something that was reported.

Oh wow. I don't read the articles, I just watch the show, but maybe I should start. I can't believe Minnie gone and did it--I thought she was more grounded than the rest, and was only amping up the drama for the show (though I guess they all do, to some extent). And the baby daddy is Pastor Troy? I have to admit I believed Ms Juicy, and didn't think Minnie even knew Pastor Troy, given the convenient timing of their breakup, so...wrong again.

I looked and found it in the media thread. TMZ reported it, but the link is bad since they update their site so frequently. Here is what the original poster quoted...

I really have to say that this show is veering very close to being nothing more than a minstrel show, both in terms of race as well as how little people are portrayed.

Hell, a majority of the cast earn their living capitalizing on the dysmorphia that comes with their condition to, literally, shake their moneymakers for gawking, guffawing audiences.

Has every one given up on this train wreck? I see Lifetime has more episodes but no one bothered to list them here...and I have not bothered to watch them

I did catch up with the Little Women LA and wow they are going downhill into more fights and foolish fakery but nothing as bad as this show

I am seriously surprised that Lifetime did not pull the plug on it

Hey to the twerkers - don't quit your day job - oh yeah you don't have one...and neither do the so called "men" (sperm donors) you support

Just one of the worst shows ever.

I used to update as the episodes went along but it seems like no one here was really into this series of Little Women... Interestingly enough they consistently beat out LWLA in ratings every week, even though it was shown later in the evening, on a Wednesday at that. I like all 3 shows, and they're all incredibly different and reflective of the overall "vibe" of their area.

With LA you have a group of overly involved 30 somethings always trying to outdo one another, and are fake friends to boot. However, they're all relatively accomplished, educated, and financially stable. All of that goes out the window though when they're ready to fight over whatever inane busybody subject matter is at hand.

Atlanta is way slower placed, yet they women are a little more "around the way" with things; none of them have attained a fraction of the financial success or stability of the LA cast and it shows. They're also (for the most part) 10 years younger than the LA cast, with the exception of Minnie and Monie all of the Atlanta cast were born in the 90s. If I had to guess, I would say all of them but Emily (right cheek, the pregnant one) grew up in working class households, whereas LA seems more middle class.

Finally you have New York. With the exception of nutty Lila, they're much faster paced and more apt to zingers and shade than outright brawling like Atlanta or screaming matches like LA. Dawn is the quintessential born and bred New Yorker; she tells it exactly like it is and you take it or leave it. This cast was the most mature of the three as well, which translated to the lowest ratings of the shows because there wasn't much fighting, just shade and underhanded passive aggression. This cast seemed wealthier than the others; to live comfortably in the Big Apple you have to be doing pretty well for yourself.

IMO all three shows are pretty drivel-y when it comes down to it, but there will always be people who like one over the other(s).

The whole show is just such a train wreck.

Does Minnie really think that a father who will be (presumably) barely present because a paternity test forces him into it is better in any way than a father who's absent without a paternity test?  And, if so, is that really the guy you want giving you relationship advice?

Mini just seems like a joke.  Her behavior seems 100% driven by what she thinks will get her screen time.

And the "cheeks" and the twins?  I'm sorry, but they're just trailer trash.  4 kids between them without an ounce of commitment from the baby-daddies.

It sure is a slice of life.

Thanks for the info ChaCha....great observations.

I didn't know that Hotlanta was doing better in ratings than LA = wow

I think your description of the 3 shows is spot o

I think LA gals are more actually performers, even Tracy had done some movie work

the NY gals are career and performers but more stage , and of course Dawn is a paralegal

The Hotlanta girls ....ouch twerk twerk

The best line I recall about this show is the observation about what Dawn of NY would say or do if she dared to watch the Atlanta mess haha

I didn't mind this show. I will say that Minnie has very low self-esteem and it's apparent. The facial expression she had when Drea announced her pregnancy was very telling. She looked completely broken. Is Minnie really pregnant? I feel bad for doubting her, but even her best friend is questioning her.

I wish the women in this group would find better bfs. Other than Monie's bf, everyone seems to be dating a loser.

The only problem with Monie's boyfriend is that he suggested they have a child when she's already apparently not taking care of her first child (unless they just don't film him/her) and she has no job. Plus, if you want to commit to the creation of a child, why not commit to the mother first and marry her? Not to clutch my pearls too hard, but marriage does offer legal protection to the baby and does indicate the father is planning to stay around long term. All these women are having babies with men who breeze through their lives, or stop for short layovers in the grand scheme of things. None of this group ever seems to think beyond the moment.

Andrea's boyfriend really is a piece of crap. All the boyfriends on this show with the exception of Morlin are losers.

I was waiting for someone to point out to Andrea's boyfriend, that if he wasn't an unemployed, lazy piece of s*it, she wouldn't have to be out there twerking.  The nerve of that low life.   Sorry to hear about Emily's baby.

I don't know why most of these women in Atlanta ( where I live also), stick with these lazy ass losers who don't work, treat them like garbage and don't care for them when they are pregnant or with the kids. They can do better than that! Big men or little men, a little man can be more of a man than accepting any "normal" height guy. It's their character that makes them real men, not their height. I think that's why I like this franchise of the Little women series the least.

Was Minnie's potential baby daddy a real pastor?

Poor Andrea, the jerk took off again, after having practically broken up the sisters. Hope she never takes him back. And her parents need to give her back her other child. He isn't theirs! Who cares how sad they would be? They can always travel. You can see how sad he is that mom isn't around. They have no business calling the shots and saying Andrea can have him if she moves back to wherever the heck they are.

No, Pastor Troy is his rap name.

I think Andrea's son is in Texas because of his Medicaid and health care providers. The parents spoke of ongoing treatments and dr visits, it might be a lot to get him signed up and find specialists etc. This was probably especially true when they didnt know if the show would get renewed and "moved" to Atlanta for the couple months shooting the first season. I doubt they are holding him from her, but they know Chris wasn't any good, the girls came to ATL not knowing anyone or even how to drive, so having Andre really wouldn't have been feasible.

I wonder if Emily will come back from Texas. It's funny that so many of them are from there, Emily, Bri, Monie, the Tiny Twins and the Troll twins.

I can't stand those two little gremlins. I would appreciate never seeing them on my screen again.

Once again, the reunion host demonstrates how to handle one of these things (although this one was a bit less focused than his last one).

I couldn't figure out who Chris claimed had threatened to sodomize and kill him (hopefully in that order, but reverse the order and . . . . ewww).

I will never side with that homunculus troll "Juicy", but would it be so hard for Minnie to just produce blood test results showing she was pregnant, assuming the pregnancy got to that point?  Her mother talked about having gone to doctor's appointments with Minnie.  Surely they would done that blood work.

Although, all things considered given the way this crew conducts themselves, not getting pregnant is about the wisest thing any of them have ever done.

And that Monie is just. so. desperate.  Can she stop "keepin' it one hundred" and maybe just keep it about fifty or so?

The ladies come together with host Kevin Frazier to recap Season 2. Chris and Jordan stop by to discuss their relationships with the twins, Andrea and Amanda. Meanwhile, Miss Juicy puts Monie in the hot seat when it comes to her pregnancy. Monie’s mom, Tammie, also makes an appearance to let Miss Juicy know EXACTLY how she feels about her.
