Yeah right.  Though I've seen much worse uniforms.  Plus, based on that last play, I hardly think they give a damn about their uniforms at the moment.

For the playoffs, by the way, Cincinnati probably will have to win 3 games again to get back to the superbowl.  The Giants and Raiders are the first & second teams eliminated from big time January football.

Kansas City is the first team to clinch a spot, and Buffalo should be the first team to clinch their division.  Halfway home toward matching what New England did a decade ago, but their postseason outcomes are still inferior to the Patriots

Probably due to the personnel up top.  It was much worse for Cincinnati during the Marvin Lewis era

Was Lewis still there when Burfict was doing his thing?

Yep.  They both departed after the 2018 season.

I can usually tolerate Tony Romo when he calls a game I'm watching but he is annoying the fuck out of me today.

And one of these times Lamar Jackson is going to do a hurdle and end up breaking his leg.

We're not Ravens fans, but that being a legit outcome would totally upset me.

What are you talking about?  Cincinnati is 4-8, and their defense sucks (or to be more exact, Cincinnati is 4-8 because their defense sucks).  They're not making the playoffs.

He has now said “expecially” twice, so.  Fuck him.

I know it’s part of the fan charter that I am not allowed to root for the Eagles, but the chances of me rooting for the Ravens are the same as Derrick Henry coming to my house for Christmas, so I’m not mad at what is happening.

I was talking about the best case scenarioPeriod.  A post I made before today outcome was determined.

Sure, but there was no mention of best-case scenario in your post, and a potentially 5-7 team with an awful defense still isn't making the playoffs.  I guess I'm confused as to why you'd even focus on the Bengals' path to the SB when their chances of making the playoffs, before, during, and after today's game, are so slim and when so many other teams from the AFC are likelier to make the SB, including the Steelers.

I guess it doesn't matter, though, because the powers-that-be will do everything they can to make sure the Chiefs represent the AFC.

What is the over/under for how many games the Texan is going to be suspended for?

The rest of the season would be fine with me.  To level Trevor like that was a total dick move.  Trevor's arms went up similar to what Tua's did when he got his concussions.  It's scary.

Bucs win in OT!  Yay!  Not a pretty win, but we'll take it.

That is fair enough.  I definitely didn't mention that, so that's on me.  However, with 17 games, had Cincinnati won they would be in a better position.

You're right in terms of the Bengals defense being so bad.  That's too bad since they've had chances at a victory in a lot of their games.  However, if a team like the Steelers of the recent past were horrible offensively, it wouldn't have mattered.  Last time I checked, Cincy doesn't have anyone left on their schedule that is a big threat.  I guess Pittsburgh might be, but that's a Week 18 game where both teams might not have anything to play for.

Still I should have mentioned that (guess I got too lazy).  They actually aren't that close to being out mathematically.  At least coming into this afternoon; what was official was being in a spot where they could not clinch the ONE seed.  So that's 3 playoff games, should they actually make it.  Now they can't even win their division.

Probably a moot point, but it wasn't too long ago that Cincinnati won nearly a half dozen games, the majority on the road.  Too bad they've fallen off, but that's on Bengals ownership

Wow, an NFC team defeated the Ravens with Lamar Jackson starting at quarterback.  They said it almost couldn't be done.

It happened only one time before today.  It was also an NFC team.  I think I definitely know one person who knows who that team was without looking it up!

The hurdling seems to be all the rage in the NFL now.  It seems we see it in every game.  A friend and I were talking about how someone is going to blow out both their knees doing it.

It was such a cheap shot.  He aimed right into Lawrence's head and used his arm like a club.  He should miss as many games as Lawrence does, plus one.

I don't know how dirty it actually was.  It's hard for a 300lb man to stop on a dime, when play is in milliseconds.  Could he have handled how he approached the tackle better?  Yes.  Even leading with the shoulder, there's bound to be happenstance like this one.

You mean like when he did this last week?

He also punched a Bears player on the sideline back in week 2, so we're not talking about Mr. Sportsmanship.

The Bills are looking good. They had a rocky start but are coming together.   They hold this through December, they could well knock off this Chiefs finally.   I don't think a last second WTF would save the Chiefs against the Bills in the playoffs.

Damn that was a fun game.

When there were only fourish minutes left in the fourth quarter, and the Bills running back slid after a tackle and three inches of snow flew up - be still my heart.

I was also getting mad at Western New York for not sharing, but after midnight we got about four inches.

Apparently the guy that took out Lawrence (but not before doing other stuff as mentioned), apologized for what he did.

To sort of steal from James Gandolfini, "He's sorry for knocking Trevor out of the game, and he'll be even sorrier when the situation is dealt with this week."  JG as the NFL head would be rather tremendous but still shocking.

Meanwhile, while there may not be a choice anyway, probably gotta shut down CMC and try again in 2025.

Just realized that we're nearing the decade mark for the guy as being in the league.  Surprising as much as it isn't.

It was bad.  Trevor was well into his slide when Azeez went in for the hit.  If these players keep delivering these unnecessary hits, there might come a day when the NFL says no hitting the QB at all, and we don't want it to turn into flag football!

I'm all about a good tackle or sack, but not a cheap shot that injures a player.

Well it's December 2nd.  And with that, I have to show some respect today.

It's Britney Spears birthday.  Happy birthday Ms. Spears.  While in a perfect world I'll edit Super Bowl 35 out of the history of the NFL, I'll leave it there, since the halftime show had a little more "dignity" than the one that followed it 3 years later on the same network!

I've long disliked the Broncos, since I can't stand John Elway, and didn't like Russell Wilson following his exit from Seattle.  But now they're both gone and the team is just there for me not to care about one way or the other.  The Browns, on the flip side, have long been just there, but once you sign one rapist as your QB and then bring in another when he's out, I want you to lose all the games.  I couldn't root for the Cowboys against them, because, well, Cowboys, but anyone else -- yes, please.  So I'm happy tonight.

What allegations against Jamie's?

EVERYONE that I've seen or heard or read (in the game or formerly in the game) loves Jamies.  Over & over all I hear is how the NFL needs him and how delightful he is.

Enquiring minds want to know, please.

Seriously?  The allegations of rape against Jameis are hardly obscure, going back nearly 10 years; FSU paid off the two known victims who came forward.

There's no excuse for the past allegations & history for Winston.  Having said that, unless I'm missing something recent, it's night & day between the former FSU star and the other guy from a rival ACC team.  As I mentioned, things were messed up, but it pales in comparison to about a dozen times as many situations well beyond one's college age.  Just my two cents.

If there's something that happened two years ago that is not cool.  However, I think not having a negative off-field situation as of late is a good thing, especially moving forward is a sign that people learn from past "mistakes" and strive to be better.  Still, people admire the guy unlike the dude that got paid way too much in Cleveland

SA is not a mistake.

I know that.  And that's why I put it in parenthesis.

People tend to use that term for situations like that.

Just my opinion, but comparing Jameis Winston to Deshaun Watson is asinine.

A "mistake" is what it's called when it's a athlete or celeb or politician.

Winston one would hope learned to be a better person.  Watson IMO would still be doing what he was doing if he hadn't got caught.
