yeswedo August 9, 2015 Share August 9, 2015 Maggie agrees to direct a play written by Gwen; and Emma gets hot and heavy with a new flame. Link to comment
Alison August 11, 2015 Share August 11, 2015 Emma and the rabbi are so cute together it's ridiculous. 1 Link to comment
Valny August 12, 2015 Share August 12, 2015 Not as funny as the first two but still enjoyable. Gwen now = Nell Carter. Ha! "give me a break! " Link to comment
Bastet August 12, 2015 Share August 12, 2015 Yeah, I thought this was a fairly aimless episode, but still an enjoyable way to spend half an hour. The Marlon Brando guy's "Maggie!" take on "Stella!" was lame, but somehow really funny. And I adore Mark. Emma and Bread Man/Rabbi Dan are pretty cute together; I'm not sure hitting the sheets after a couple of hours knowing each other was a good idea, but I'd like to see him hang around a while. Primetimer August 12, 2015 Share August 12, 2015 While Maggie directs Emma's mother's play and Mark builds sets, Tina proves she doesn't have to be present to boss around both him and his neckline.http://previously.tv/playing-house/playing-house-gets-staged-and-mark-gets-collared/"> Read the story Link to comment
MeloraH August 12, 2015 Share August 12, 2015 The backless reveal got my biggest laugh. Surprise male backlessness is everything. 6 Link to comment
Valny August 12, 2015 Share August 12, 2015 The backless reveal got my biggest laugh. Surprise male backlessness is everything. Yeah, that backless part was the worst but funniest one. Poor Mark. I actually thought he looked good in the turtleneck. For a second I forgot that Gwen was Emma's mom. I was thinking she was Maggie's mom when we first see them talking on the couch. She looks more like Maggie than Emma! You know who I think would have made a great mom for Maggie? Sharon Gless. They kind of look alike don't you think? *crickets* Link to comment
Bastet August 12, 2015 Share August 12, 2015 I'd be in favor of anything that put Sharon Gless on my screen! 1 Link to comment
omgsowicked August 12, 2015 Share August 12, 2015 I really like Emma and the Rabbi... I was a little worried when he acted like he didn't know her, as he'd just been talking to two women, so I was glad he didn't have ulterior motives with his "let's keep things quiet" request. Loved Mark in all those tops, ha! So simple, so funny. 3 Link to comment
lefawn August 12, 2015 Share August 12, 2015 (edited) I loved both bits of comedy via clothing. Gwen's scarfs of increasing craziness were great but Mark's necklines were gold. And that was totally in character too. Of course Birdbones is the type of woman who would get it into her head that her partner would need to experiment with some small element of his wardrobe and would proceed to put him in a series of increasingly strange tops. Edited to add: Was Charlotte in this episode? I don't remember seeing her. Guess she was with the dunkels. Edited August 12, 2015 by lefawn 3 Link to comment
Tara Ariano August 12, 2015 Share August 12, 2015 Was Charlotte in this episode? I don't remember seeing her. Guess she was with the dunkels. When Emma comes in to tell Maggie the chicken salad story, Maggie's holding Charlotte. Link to comment
Mecca August 12, 2015 Share August 12, 2015 I don't know why because it's pretty much the lowest form of humor, but Mark trying to describe the drawing that looked like a vagina cracked me up. Link to comment
BoogieBurns August 13, 2015 Share August 13, 2015 I don't know why because it's pretty much the lowest form of humor, but Mark trying to describe the drawing that looked like a vagina cracked me up. I know why. He called it a "hairy oyster!" 2 Link to comment
Grommet August 13, 2015 Share August 13, 2015 I really enjoyed this episode. Gwen saying Tina is made of tissue paper made me laugh, as did her scarves. It's fun seeing a show about women. 3 Link to comment
biakbiak August 14, 2015 Share August 14, 2015 I was rewatching season 1 because my boyfriend hadn't seen it and during the episode Drumline, when Mark catches them skinny dipping it's at the JCC and he tells Emma if she doesn't get out of the pool he is going to have to call Rabbi Dan! 6 Link to comment
hks August 19, 2015 Share August 19, 2015 Until reading this, I had completely missed the adding of pashminas to signify the increasing crazy in Gwen. That's brilliant. I guess I was too distracted by Mark's neckline to notice Gwen's. (P.S. I am suuuuper ashamed to admit that I thought he looked kind of hot in the super deep V. Not that it's an acceptable amount of V or anything. He just looked good in it). Link to comment
HotForBacon August 30, 2015 Share August 30, 2015 I like how this show just makes me laugh. I just enjoy it. My husband doesn't get it so it's my solo show. I don't mind though. These characters are just enjoyable. 1 Link to comment
biakbiak August 30, 2015 Share August 30, 2015 (edited) I realise it's editors but Charlotte' s look when Emma telling "the story" of her mother catering a party with the new Mexican joint is golden! Edited August 30, 2015 by biakbiak 1 Link to comment
