SA's facebook live video from Friday evening (Aug. 19)...

-- SA broke his nose and had to go see a doctor. It was a fracture.
-- They're shooting episode 97 (505).
-- SA watched the studio and network cut of 501 "this morning."  He liked it and said that "it feels like an episode of Arrow."
-- They were doing a night shoot last night.
-- In response to a fan who wanted them to get "Jared [Padalecki] and Jensen [Ackles]" on Arrow, SA said that they "can't afford them."
-- He mentioned his upcoming comic cons in San Jose and Salt Lake. He also explained why he wasn't doing the comic con in Toronto this year, but said that he will be doing a comic con in Canada, to be announced later.

FYI, these are the comic cons he was referring to...

Heroes & Villains FanFest-San Jose, August 27-28, 2016 (San Jose, CA)
Stephen Amell, David Ramsey, Katie Cassidy, Paul Blackthorne, Echo Kellum, Charlotte Ross, Willa Holland, Katrina Law, John Barrowman, Neal McDonough, Amy Gumenick, Colin Donnell and Matt Ryan (also Caity Lotz,
Ciara Renee, Brandon Routh, Robbie Amell, Candice Patton, Rick Cosnett, Teddy Sears and Carole Barrowman)

Salt Lake City Comic Con, September 1-3, 2016 (Salt Lake City, UT)
Stephen Amell (Sat.), Katie Cassidy (Thurs. & Fri.) and Manu Bennett (Thurs. & Fri.) (also Arthur Darvill)
http://saltlakecomiccon.com/

Fan Expo Canada, September 1-4, 2016 (Toronto, Canada)
Katie Cassidy (Sat. & Sun.), John Barrowman (Sat. & Sun.) and Alex Kingston (Fri. & Sat.) (also Danielle Panabaker)

You know, I liked Tommy after they started making him less of a jerk. But I never got this "OMG, please bring Tommy back, I miss him" feeling after he died and thought his return appearances were rather boring and unnecessary. I'd be interested in an ep with Earth-2 Tommy as a villain OTA has to take down, though.

Yeah I never understood the outcry for Tommy's return. I still think what he did was very heroic so I would never take that from him.

Eddie though? Bring him back asap. Iris and Eddie were great together and Eddie was inoffensive.

Tim Tams are completely awesome.  You're lucky.  They don't sell them here any more and my stock in the freezer is gone.

I'm starting to think that Stephen Amell avoids FanExpo because he doesn't want to be a small fish in a big pond. With Stan Lee, William Shatner, Gillian Anderson, Mark Hamill and Haylet Atwell, who is going to pay attention to Stephen Amell like he would get in Salt Lake city?  (I wonder how Robbie feels about him missing his bachelor party.)

I'd go to hear Margaret Atwood but the prices are so high.

TerrifiCon also took place this weekend (in Mohegan Sun, CT)...

-- On her Arrow role, KL: "I play Nyssa al Ghul, who is daughter to Ra's al Ghul. She is a very black-and-white character who sees the world, uh, as 'you live or you die' and 'you follow the rules or you don't.' But when she met the Lance sisters - especially Sara Lance - uh, her world started becoming more technicolor, I guess you would say. And it's been a really interesting journey that she's gone on. So she's gone from Daughter of the Demon to Demon's Head and, uh, we'll see what she has in store for her."

JB in Pokemon outfit at Wizard World Chicago yesterday - posted on youtube by Zrana (warning: if you don't already know, his panels tend to be quite risque)...

-- On who would win in a fight, JB said that Malcolm would "kick the living daylights" and "beat the crap" out of Captain Jack Harkness, that Captain Jack would let him, and that "when he was exhausted, Captain Jack would flip him over and make passionate love to him."

-- CD: "I think it's an awesome rumor... I love it. I think that, like, it was funny, cause I saw the article like all of you did, and I retweeted the hell out of it because... deh. Uh, I love the idea. And in fact, I'll tell you about a conversation that Andrew Kreisberg and I had - um, we had dinner - and, um, keep in mind this was long before I had another series. Uh, everybody involved with Arrow has been extremely kind to me after season 1, of bringing me back when I was available, when it fit in with the storyline. Um, and I love going back. I love it. And I would absolutely jump at the chance to have more stuff to do with Stephen or John Barrowman. Maybe we could - maybe Felicity and Tommy could meet somewhere... (Audience reaction and some unintelligible words) It's like, 'alright!' (Audience laughs)  As of right now, I'm very busy in Chicago and, uh, I love it here and I'm - (Someone in audience whoops) Yes. Chicago is not only an awesome city, but our show [Chicago Med] is incredible and I really like it. So, as of right now, they are just rumors. I will perpetuate the hell out of them... cause I love it."

Haha, that does sound like Captain Jack.

Does CD ship alternate Earth Felicity/Tommy cause that makes me happy?  I doubt CD can come back with his commitment to NBC unless he gets permission and can work it around his show's schedule.

I can't speak for the FanExpo, but Stephen has always been a relatively mid-tier name at Salt Lake Comic Con.  It's the #3 attended con in the U.S. behind SDCC and NYCC and usually pulls in pretty big names--Stan Lee (3 times), Shatner (3 times), Gillian Anderson, Chris Evans, Carrie Fisher, Peter Mayhew, Hayley Atwell, etc.  Mark Hamill is the main headliner this year so I doubt that Stephen's worried about his status.

main stage panels at HVFF at San Jose:

hvff sj.JPG

I'm looking forward to DR and WH. Is this AmyG's first time at a Arrow panel? Does anyone think Arrow still has storylines for Cupid?

I hope PB is in a better mood this weekend. He was quite weird in some of those interviews at SDCC.

I don't see Matt Ryan, Clark Gregg or Chloe Bennet's names on that HVFF-San Jose schedule (they're all listed as guests).  I wonder if they're still trying to nail down their times? Or maybe they'll all be part of SA's panel?

Are the guests attending both Saturday and Sunday? I wonder if they decided to divide the Arrow people in 3 panels just because it would be too crowded otherwise, or according to the day they are there. Also, Stephen Amell is doing just his solo panel this time.

Arrow director John Behring has his own website, which includes some nice videos.  There's a "montage reel" on the home page (including Arrow scenes), two Arrow scene selection videos (scenes from 201-City of Heroes and 223-Unthinkable) on the 'Scenes' page, and an entire Arrow episode (114-The Odyssey, in which Felicity finds a wounded Oliver in her car and learns his secret identity) on the 'Episodes' page...

Anyone know what this is about?...

Not 100% sure but I think someone was complaining that the stunts aren't long enough anymore because somehow they seem to think s1/s2 had ten minute long action scenes. It's all just to complain about how bad the show is now tbh, and I think Bam Bam was refuting that.

Maybe it's something about the Toronto con that he doesn't like. He's going to Edmonton and I think he went to Calgary last year but he hasn't been to Toronto (the biggest one in Canada) since after Arrow's first season IIRC.
