Magog April 9 Share April 9 (edited) Well, the Timberwolves lay an egg at the worst time last night. They were up by 24 points (95-71) at the 10 minute mark of the 4th Quarter & ended up choking that game away to the Bucks 110-103. They're now in 8th place & in a whole lot of trouble. You would think that Anthony Edwards would of found a way to get them home in a must win game like last night. But, he & the Timberwolves flat out choked & failed last night. As for the Lakers & those Warriors, the Lakers are in 3rd place & those Warriors are in 6th place. Them meeting in the Playoffs once again is giving me stomach-cramp inducing energy. But, I can somewhat tolerate it if they meet in the 1st round. At least one of them will be gone when the 2nd round comes around. At least the East has the Play-In teams set. Yay. 😒 Magic, Heat, Bulls, & Hawks. I can't wait to see who will be the sacrificial lamb to the Cavaliers. roamyn April 9 Share April 9 The Cavs have officially locked in #1 seed in the East. It could've been the overall #1 if they hadn't crapped the bed for almost two weeks last month. For the record, I blame hubby. He hadn't worn his Cavs jammy pants all season. The very next day after he wore them for the first time, they lost the first of four in a row. After the 4th loss, I hid the pants. In other WTF are you thinking, does Ja Morant not understand that his gun gestures make an impression on kids that might look up to him? He's setting a bad example when he continues to make such gestures even after being warned over & over. All this does is teach kids on the margin that it's okay to break the rules or to fight authority. And it glamorizes street thuggishness and violence. Fining him isn't doing the job. Suspending him w/o pay might or making him do community service in areas affected by gun violence might work better. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/2756-the-nba/page/159/#findComment-8630464

He also got Klay to go to Dallas. The Dallas team was kind of built for him. And it was suddenly taken away. I'm sure that although he likes LA and his new team, he still misses his old buds. 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/2756-the-nba/page/159/#findComment-8631090

If not LA, who else would have to come out of the West to make the 2024-2025 season a success? Speaking of torture, hopefully we won't have to deal with Kevin Durant & his Twitter bullshit during the NBA Playoffs. If its a great Playoff game or an upset in the NBA Playoffs, I don't want to hear anything from him about it at all during these 2 months. Magog April 14 Share April 14 (edited) Very rarely do I ever get what I want when it comes to the NBA. Yesterday was another example of that. Last season we didn't get that 9-10 matchup between the Lakers - those Warriors that was sorely needed because the Kings mess it up. (🤬) This time, the Clippers & the Timberwolves had to ruined everything. (🤬) Now instead of the Lakers - those Warriors meeting in the 1st round like I wanted, we might get that matchup in the 2nd round which will really really suck. (🤮) I'm not looking forward to seeing Steph being Steph on the sorry Grizzlies again like last time (scoring 52 points & making 12 3-pointers). I have to hope for a miracle like what the Grizzlies did to those Warriors several yrs ago in the Play-In. As for Lakers - Timberwolves, its time for Anthony Edwards to take that next step & beat the Lakers. LeBron & Luka will not make it easy for him & the Timberwolves. I except more from Anthony Edwards & the Timberwolves in these Playoffs this time around & prove that they're not a one-hit wonder. As for the Pistons - Knicks, all I know about that series is that the Pistons are going to win that series. I don't know in how many games, but the Pistons will win that series. Hopefully, they'll bring some much needed & deserved humiliation on the Knicks while kicking their asses. Orange & Blue Skies!! Orange & Blue Skies!!
