I'm confused because I could've sworn Graham already had one attempt at doing a show in the US. Not just airing his current show on BBCA or another US channel. But I thought it already happened a handful of years ago, didn't have the same energy, didn't really work, and quickly went away. And I was disappointed because his current show works so well and is to me, more consistently funny than most standard US chat shows on currently. Maybe I hallucinated it?

He did have a US show, The Graham Norton Effect, weekly on on Comedy Central.  I loved it, but I don't know if weekly works/worked in the US.  we're used to our daily/nightly chat shows.

For those keeping track, as of 3-15-15, we've (US viewers) seen episodes 1-11, the holiday special, episode 14 and episodes 19 and 20.

The only ones that are missing are episodes 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, the compilation show and the Eastenders special.

Episode 13 aired tonight so cross that one off the list.

It looks like episodes 15 and 18 are going to air next week (April 4th) and episodes 16 and the compilation show are going to air the following week (April 11th).

So episodes 21 (Comic Relief Special) and the Eastenders special are the only ones left and I don't think those are going to air in the states because season 17 is starting up on April 10th in the UK.

 

ETA- US viewers aren't going to get to see the Comic Relief and Eastenders specials because Season 17 starts airing here on April 18th.

I'm sure if we are clamoring for them there are places to see them but I can't link them here.

Why is BBCAmerica replaying last season's episodes each week?  I still enjoy the repeats, especially as I'm doing something else and having them on at the same time, but I'd like to see the new episodes too.

Very frustrated at not getting new episodes. GNS is about ten times better than any of the other rehashed programming on BBCA and they're not showing new stuff.  Very annoying.

Grrrrr, I'm with all of you.  I check every Sat night and it has been in repeats.  My two favs, Tom Hiddleston and Benedict Cumberbatch, have been on and I haven't been able to officially see them.  Boooo.  Hissssss.

I haven't had BBCA in a while - I watch the eps on YouTube.  The most recent one with BC is on YouTube.

What's even more annoying is that the episodes that BBCA is rerunning are really boring ones (IMO) from last year. I'd be more interested in some older episodes.

I know. If they're going to rerun old eps, make them the best of TGNS, not mediocre recent ones.

Heads up, fellow American TGNS fans! My cable guide is showing the 2015-16 NYE episode scheduled to air this Monday night (1/18) on BBCA.  Could it be that Graham has made it back to our shores?

According to my online guide, it will be S 18 E 15, with Cube, Hart, Laurie, Colman, & Attenborough. Which is the ep that aired today in the UK! Whee! Hopefully we'll get caught up with the ones we missed ere long.

I HATE the way BBC America is scheduling the show this year:  the Monday at 10 time conflicts with Full Frontal which MUST be watched first but then they roll out like 7 or 8 Grahams in a row overnight repeating the "new" one at 7 in the morning.  Since Norton features many of the same guests more than once, I can't keep straight what I've seen and what I haven't.

Ugh! More scheduling shenanigans from BBCA. They are now saying the show is moving to Thursday nights at 11pm ET, with this week's being 18:11 (Tina Fey, Kurt Russell). But my dvr schedule hasn't yet deleted the previously scheduled Monday night (DeNiro, Branagh) ep, even though it's no longer on the guide grid. 

 

They're flipping around like we're sitting in the Red Chair! Stop the madness!

This show belongs on Saturday night. It's like the cocktail party you might go to. Having it on during the week throws me off, and I don't like having two episodes at once. Graham is fun, but for me, it's a show best in moderation.
