ABay March 3, 2017 Share March 3, 2017 Kurt and Paul F. are so good that I felt a little sorry for the pointsme winner, but she did OK and was at least as funny as some of the performers they've had on recently. Her entry for FTW was the best and made me laugh out loud. It reminded me of one of my favorite commercials. I love Paul F. I just want everyone to know. 2 Link to comment

zxy556575 March 7, 2017 Share March 7, 2017 (edited) Bubba Gump Shrimp = vomit joke! I'm glad it was Flula who was penalized for violating the Cheesecake Factory treaty. possibilities March 7, 2017 Share March 7, 2017 Yeah, I agree about Baldwin. I keep trying to forgive him for whatever his most recent BS is, but then he adds more to the shitpile and I go back to wishing even more fervently than before that he'd shut up or grow up or both. 2 Link to comment
PatternRec March 7, 2017 Share March 7, 2017 Even though their political alignments are so far apart I think one of the reasons Baldwin does a good Trump is that they're not dissimilar in temperament. 2 Link to comment

This show let Chris give the finger without blurring it, so I wouldn't but it past them to show a boobs fanny pack someday, too, though. Now I think someone should make a fanny pack that is butt shaped. Truth in advertising! Link to comment

attica March 14, 2017 Share March 14, 2017 I have what is perhaps an irrational fondness for Jim Norton. I saw him at a wee comedy club once, and he made my friend laugh so hard (and so loud, with audible snorts, gasps, and yowls) that when he finished, he thanked the crowd, "...and especially [pointing] YOU, sir." Which further made my friend's night. I don't even know if I think he's funny, but he slayed my buddy and showed gratitude for his filling the room with laffs. Points! Link to comment
zxy556575 March 14, 2017 Share March 14, 2017 I like Norton as a panelist; he actually tries some impromptu jokes instead of relying solely on whatever's in those podium teleprompters. I watched his Netflix special yesterday and while I laughed a couple of times, I gotta think his "I'm a filthy perv" humor has a fairly narrow audience. Link to comment
paigow March 15, 2017 Share March 15, 2017 Hardwick is so inconsistent in eliminating / saving third place comedian. At least have the pretense of a studio vote...I thought he would save Cleese because Norton hogged all the points.... 1 Link to comment

theatremouse March 17, 2017 Share March 17, 2017 I almost never agree with when he decides to not eliminate the third. I feel like it somehow ought to be more rare (and yet of course, the three and a half times I've found myself hoping he'd do it, he hasn't). 1 Link to comment
ganesh March 17, 2017 Share March 17, 2017 I don't see why anyone has to be eliminated. The whole thing is completely arbitrary. 3 Link to comment
theatremouse March 17, 2017 Share March 17, 2017 I think that's what I mean about wanting it to be more rare. If the format of the show is officially "only the two with the highest scores do the last question" then that should be true >97% of the time. But since the nature of the game itself is pretty much totally arbitrary and subjective, it does make sense to me that once in a blue moon he might be like, nah, whatevs, too close, everyone play the end. But right now he does that too frequently to make sense so they should either completely eliminate the concept of "only top two" at the end, or he should stop doing the saves so much. They're in a weird no man's land in between that I find annoying. 2 Link to comment

theatremouse March 18, 2017 Share March 18, 2017 Do you mean after the Matisyahu joke? Wait nevermind. Now I've seen the whole thing and I realize Yasser was upset at several audience comments. If you mean right at the end, I think the guy said "get rid of Yasser" (which is middle guy's name). Although listening, he just as easily might've said "Adsit" not "Yasser"...and Adsit did start to pretend to walk away too. So...I'm not sure. Link to comment

trow125 March 18, 2017 Share March 18, 2017 I have enjoyed Melissa on SNL, but I thought she was not a particularly funny panelist. I would've been fine with her being cut. Though I'd also be fine to just change the format of the show so all 3 go to the final round. After all, the last-place panelist who was supposed to have gotten eliminated seems to win a good percentage of the time! 1 Link to comment

The show is pretty bluntly manipulated, so I don't even think I care that much, to be honest. I'm just glad they got rid of the 3rd wheel act/special guest schtick which they were experimenting with for a while. I think they may get bored with the show and that's why they keep tweaking the format. I've decided to roll with it. The show does get boring sometimes, so even if some of their attempts to change it up are failures, I'm kind of ok with it because at least they're trying, and I kind of get why they want to make it better.
