Spoiler Discussion: The apple was poisoned?!

Every new interview makes me hate them even more. I actually want to see a bad guy that is not related to any of the other characters, who has a real, meaningful reason for being a bad guy and not because some ridiculous and contrived reason like envy, or that is a bad guy just because he is a bad person, without a tearful past.

Replying in Speculation.

Only interesting spoilers I found:

* The Snow Queen is connected to Elsa's urn.

* Rumple claims he didn't know Elsa was in his vault.

* The Knave lands himself in jail, but later gets out.

* There is a dart-throwing scene with the Knave and Robin Hood.

* The Knave is going to rub some people off the wrong way.

* We're going to find out who Hook traded his ship to.

* We're going to learn about Hook's father.

* We'll find out why Rumple lied about the dagger.

From that EW article

“What we can say about Elizabeth on the show is that for the first time, we’re showing a villainous side to Elizabeth Mitchell,” executive producer Adam Horowitz says, before Kitsis interjects: “Not just working with the Others because she has no choice, but a truly villainous side. We can’t wait to scare everyone.”

I hope she is a true villian and not some poor misunderstood victim.

As for Hook, we will discover much more about his past, including details on who he traded his ship to, his father and what living in the real world means.

This is the only thing I'm interested right now.

Lana's latest gem: "She wants to strangle Emma and she has every reason to"

I need to take up kickboxing to appropriately express my rage.

I think I just had a rage blackout.

But didn't they say we wouldn't get Hook flashbacks this half-season? I don't see how they fit. Maybe they mean 4B.

I suppose they could reveal some things without flashbacks. I hope it amounts to more than the "wrestling" over Snowflake's name.

Maybe Hook's dad is Zoso? Wouldn't that be a hoot lol. Everyone has to be related to everyone after all. He's the only one we know of from that time period and he's back for episode 4.

That certainly would be a twist and might explain why he abandoned Killian. It might also explain the resurrection of the Rumple/Hook battles if Hook finds out that Rumple murdered his father (Rumple and his dad cut quite a swath through the Jones family and the ones they love).

And since everybody has to be related...Zoso is probably no "Scott".

I'm really curious about the identity of HOOK father but I was sure it will in 4b.

How all this stuff can be in 4a in an organic and interesting ways.

I'm losing interest in anything  that involve Regina because of this interview and a certain fandom.

They've talked a lot about both Hook and Emma having screwed up pasts they need to overcome to make their relationship work, so I could see him opening up a little about his dad -- like he did with Bae -- in 3a then exploring it more in 3b.

Wouldn't the dude be too young by a couple of hundred years? Frozen people are contemporaries of Snow and Charming right?

I didn't mean that the Duke of Weselton was Hook's father! That would indeed be chronologically impossible. I just meant that the Duke might actually be who they were casting for.

I would also like Davy Jones to be Hook's father.

Then why would they say he was a prince? Or did I screw up that casting note?

Sometimes they say they're casting for "A" when they're really casting for "B" -- they just don't want people to know that they're casting for "B." If they said they were casting for a duke, everyone would have screamed "Duke of Weselton!" But princes are a dime a dozen on Once.

I'm not saying that's definitely the case here, but it happens.

As much as I wanted to see Maleficent back because of all those hints about her and how they didn't forget about her in Season 2, I'm really dreading that 4B will be all about Regina and her Not!Boyfriend.

Of course it's going to feature the deification of Regina arc, which ends with Marian giving her blessing to Regina on her dying breath.

Now now, that's not Rumple's fault. He just feels so much with his appendix!

LMAO!

Hey--only Regina or her mother are allowed to be the poor misunderstood victim. So, I don't think we need worry. Of course, Regina's going to be the one to defeat her with Light Magic farts.

Either way, it will be difficult for Robin Hood to choose between his late wife and Regina. “He as much as said he was in love with Regina last season,” Maguire points out. “It’s a really complicated situation. He’s a righteous, decent man, but when you’re in love, you’re in love.”

I guess Sean really wants to be a series regular.

As for Hook, we will discover much more about his past, including details on who he traded his ship to, his father and what living in the real world means.

I am so excited!! I didn't think they meant we would get all this info on 4A, just that we will get it this season.

Not sure who posted it originally, but here is a still of Regina crying/flashing her undies.

I have to admit I laughed. Not about the unflattering camera view, but because we always joke about Woegina's tears, and here they are. She looks like a child who didn't get their way. This season literally starts with her tears. It's not just whining, complaining or being hypocritical - it's simply her pitying herself in sorrow. Would it be normal to sit and have a moment for a person who lost the one they loved to someone else? Absolutely. But with Regina, you know it's going to be a theatrical event.

This picture just describes her perfectly. I'm a Regina fan and I still thought this was hilarious.

Should we have a Regina's Tears™ betting pool? I'm putting my money on no less than 3 times in the premiere, and I think we can get to 10 before 4A ends.

Why stop there? We should open up a betting pool for a bunch of different categories this season and see how accurate we are at the end. Might I suggest:

  • Number of times Regina gets called a "monster"
  • Number of Frozen references
  • Number of Captain Swan kisses
  • Number of times Doc's Miata gets destroyed
  • Actual amount of time (in minutes) spent on Emma's flashbacks
  • Number of times Regina gets called a "hero"
  • Yes or No: Will Charming and Snow change their baby's name to something less repulsive?
  • Yes or No: Will Marian die at the end of 4A?
  • Yes or Yes: Will the Snow Queen have a sad backstory that they devote way too much time on?
  • No or No: Will Belle divorce Rumple after she finds out about the dagger?
  • Which couple(s) will get a True Love's Kiss by the end of 4A?
  • Amount of time (in minutes) Adam and Eddy spend on pointless flashbacks to characters we'll never see again
  • Which character(s) will get their heart frozen?

I giggled as well.  And granny panties, or shapewear. (Not that there's anything wrong with either of them.)   And aren't like 95% of her tears self-pitying?  It is vintage Regina.

For your latest entry in the "Robin is a dummy" sweepstakes, enjoy.

Wow. At least Regina pointed out that he's wrong. Either Robin is super ignorant or he's messed up. Probably both.

(I'm more TeamRegina than TeamRobin with this whole thing.)

I'm Team Marian all the way. Robin is so stupid that deserves a girlfriend like Regina.

I'm growing ever fonder of the idea that his perspective is so messed up because he's a villain himself masquerading as Robin Hood!

Seriously who is this guy? There's nothing Robin Hood about him.

Which proves that Regina cannot be redeemed by the writers without destroying other characters--starting from Snow.

Oh I put Marian over the both of them in this situation. I just find Regina slightly above Robin because she's not the one dating her spouse's killer. Robin knows better and yet chooses to ignore the truth that his date is a mass murderer. This spoiler tease amplifies that. Regina isn't denying anything here, but he most definitely is.

All that said, Marian should most definitely take custody of Roland.

The women I met is the furthest thing from a monster.

The next scene in the script has the "women he met" scheming with the guy she kept locked in a cell (for a crime he didn't commit for two years) to go back in time and kill Robin's wife and the mother of his child.

Robin is a rather poor judge of character...

Apparently Canada got the recap special tonight instead of tomorrow. Someone posted a clip from it with Frozen footage from (I assume) 4.01.

Anna wears a necklace that bears a striking resemblance to the Snow Queen's. Also, the book is confirmed to be a diary of her mother's.

Yeah, I just fastforwarded through it, and you won't miss anything if you skip it. At least the one before 3B had actors interviews.

This is an Emma/Elsa scene, I'm not sure from when... 402? I can't find the original video.

I know this is a very unpopular opinion, but that snippet between Emma and Elsa is too short for me to get excited, and really, the fact that we know Elsa is leaving at the end of 4A makes me totally uninterested in that relationship.

I'm like a 5 year old on Christmas morning bouncing off walls waiting to open presents. I'm so excited to have Emma on my screen again and excited about her new friendship with Elsa.

I'm too giddy to let the anger in yet when I know I won't get what I want.

I'm hoping Elsa will be a reoccurring character living happily in offscreenville once 4A is over. Emma and her can go chill (unintended) once in a while like with MM in S1, just slightly less frequent.

I would love this, but A&E said that once the Frozen storyline was over, the Frozen characters would leave. And, unless Anna is also in Storybrooke, and from spoilers it doesn't look like it, there's no way that Elsa wouldn't try to get back to her sister. But, more importantly, I don't think Disney would let them treat Elsa the same way they are treating Ruby, Ariel or Tinkerbell.

That's one reason I'm not a fan of the Frozen arc idea. I'm sure their story will be wonderful, but knowing when it ends kills most of the suspense for me.

Please writers - don't kill off the Snow Queen! Put her in stasis for later if you have to!
