AngelaHunter September 30, 2019 Share September 30, 2019 Sorry you're going through this, nachomama. I have a sister I haven't seen in 20 years, and have no idea if she's dead or alive. I tried to find her, with no luck, but even if I did, I can't have an alcoholic in my life so I let it go. Sometimes that's all we can do. Link to comment
nachomama October 1, 2019 Share October 1, 2019 Our only contact for the last 30 years has been through the good one. Only seen her in person 4 years ago when goodone had open heart surgery. She would come and go, wind up in shelters and I truly lost no sleep over her. I’m the executor for goodone so I will perform my duties and hopefully good riddance. Before I left Texas we did try to have her committed. She was willing to go but she’s not covered and apparently not dangerous enough. My sister left her a car, house and property. I said don’t fuck it up and don’t ever show up on my doorstep cuz I sure as shit ain’t taking you in. We also finally know where my niece is! She hadn’t been in touch with her mom (goodone) in almost 20 years. My niece is only 4 years younger than me. My sister was 15 years older than me. My niece is doing 8 years in federal prison for methamphetamine trafficking. Sigh. We are just such stellar people. So I’m writing prison letters now. Wheeeeeee! Currently I have ringing in my ears, a cough and apparently very low on potassium. I just want to sleep for a week. Ain’t happening. Link to comment
nachomama October 1, 2019 Share October 1, 2019 Had to buy Evil a tire yesterday. Good grief, it's like dealing with a toddler. She has absolutely no shame in begging the church for anything and everything. Air conditioning went out and she's on the phone "We're gonna need a new a/c" as if that's what the church does is just hand them out. Does she think the benevolent society just has her name written on it? When I asked her what SHE should/could be doing to solve these problems...she told me she has a connection with Sharon Osbourne on "The Talk". She's going to write to Sharon, Ellen and Kelly and Ryan because they'll help her. They want to do a show from a viewer's home, she's a mental health patient and her voice needs to be heard. I'm thinking more like a job or filing government paperwork. Lordy mercy I don't even know what I'm gonna do with her. I never really liked Jonny Quest, it was too sciency. More like learny tv not cartoons. Link to comment

This crowd was for the Saturday headliner - Guns ‘N Roses - which was the band about which I probably cared the absolute LEAST. But we stuck around for a while, and you know what? Slash and the rest of the guitar corps are still 100% on point, but somebody kidnapped Axl Rose and replaced him with a great big ol’ Chucky doll. AngelaHunter October 4, 2019 Share October 4, 2019 Oh, my. I admit I've never been a follower of Axl Rose, but I never would have recognized him from that pic. Actually the only names on that flyer I know are Guns 'n Roses, Marilyn Manson, Dropkick Murphys (hell, yeah!) and only recently "Disturbed" after I randomly found a video of them doing "Sounds of Silence." Normally I am not a fan of covers, but that one is truly outstanding, particulary since it comes from someone who looks like he should be tied to the front of a truck in a "Mad Max" movie. If anyone has not heard it, be prepared to be blown away. 1 2 Link to comment

nachomama October 7, 2019 Share October 7, 2019 Aside from hating people and crowds I'd like to see more shows. We don't get good stuff, here, mostly. Had a wonderful weekend with no water. There was a leak between the water main and my house. I called the city they claimed it wasn't on their side so I paid a plumber $450 to come dig a ginormous trench in my yard, where he did find a couple of leaks but guess what? the main leak was in the cities water main connecting to my house. My yard is so lovely. I also had 5 separate conversations with 3 near total strangers because my sister sent them to me. She's trying to "evict" the people she invited to live with her. after Goodone died she invited a girl to live there who had lived with Goodone several years ago. Evil expected her to be so grateful to have a place to live that she would essentially be Evil's slave. We had taken the car away from Evil because of her midnight escapade so she expected a chauffeur, a maid and someone to do yardwork and feed the animals. Yes, she was driving Evil to her appointments and yes she was taking care of the yard and pets. She was "hard to wake up" and was sleeping too much during the day for Evil's tastes so now she wants them gone. According to me, Evil is on a power trip, because the girl didn't jump when Evil asked and "made herself at home" that is all she did wrong. So Evil posted eviction papers on the house and says the sheriff will come Tuesday to be sure they're gone. She changed a lock on the back door. She's grounded the car (the insurance ran out so no one is legal to drive it anymore). Evil thinks she has the county "providing" for her, as in home visit to take a look at the bills. She thinks the county is going to give her rides to therapy, classes, grocery store etc and start paying her bills as well as she will qualify for disability because of her mental status. None of this is guaranteed and if this falls through, what is her plan then? So some random girl is calling me and has Evil's side of the story and some other guy who "used to be a cop" was over there trying to negotiate peace. I definitely think Evil went about it the wrong way, she didn't need to get hostile. They haven't done anything to her, she is paranoid and thinks they're stealing but everything she claimed they stole they were able to produce and it was where it had last been seen. Everything she puts down she forgets, she lost her glasses, her phone, money and she accused us all of taking at one point or another. OMG she is such a mess and I don't want her to be my problem but I can't make her these other peoples problem either. Seriously, wrong sister died. Link to comment

Not your monkey, not your football. 4 hours ago, nachomama said: Seriously, wrong sister died. In terms of 100% reality, sometimes shit happens - and sometimes we’re related to it. nachomama October 8, 2019 Share October 8, 2019 My liver hasn't had to work much for over 40 years, bout time I start seeing if it's Irish. Goodone was suffering from throat cancer and emphysema so anything she did to feel better was ok by me. Apparently she had been smoking a little medicinal marijuana and if it helped, great. She needed to eat so if she got the munchies, better. I do not care, she suffered plenty. So she had a little stash and we may have had a tiny puff, puff pass moment, honestly been over 10 years for me so not that big of a deal. Apparently big, big deal for Evil. All these rando strangers she sends to me have all mentioned that she's throwing me under the bus telling them I smoked. Evil, however, on her "big mission from god" was taking the stash across state lines to give to some ex boyfriend who is dying of cancer. She leaves that out when she tells people I imbibed. Evil was making weird notes, 2 names of people from high school and a celebrity then drawing lines to connect them. Jesse Sarabia, Jessica Villanueve, Jessica Simpson. Debbie McGee, Debbie something and Debbie Gibson. Then lines kinda like how detectives hunt down serial killers. All from 30 years ago. At the top of one of her lists she wrote that I said I offered my mom medical marijuana when she had breast cancer when I was in high school. I was kinda being a jerk to my mom but if she had truly thought it might help her and wanted some I would have gotten it for her. But mostly I wanted her to be shocked I asked. Because I was a nerd in high school, I had my moments and actually managed a pretty cool reputation for weed, entirely innocently, but unbeknownst to Evil. So she's really jumping on the idea that I may have done something bad in my youth. Link to comment

nachomama October 8, 2019 Share October 8, 2019 I used to love Buck Rogers. I don't think I've seen an episode of Barnaby Jones in 30 years but I don't remember him being all that great. I didn't care about Buddy Ebsen once he wasn't Jed Clampett. A couple years ago I watched the Rockford Files from the beginning and I liked it so much, yes very different. Him and the Charlie's Angels detectives always having to pull over to find a pay phone. And he was not a good fighter, always getting his ass kicked. There's an episode of Charlie's Angels that always sticks in my mind, when they went to prison. And they had to take showers and get de-loused. I remember asking why they were getting sprayed but I think I was a little bit fascinated by the communal showering and how fixated the guard lady was. And I always think we were mean children because we always thought Kate Jackson was the "ugly" Angel and seriously she's a very lovely woman! I was always a Kelly if we played Charlie's Angels but Sabrina may be my favorite in retrospect. 2 Link to comment

My two overwhelming memories of a couple of the shows were, in Buck Rogers, exactly how much tighter could Colenal Deering's skin tight uniforms get, and in Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea, why would a submarine employ watertight doors on every compartment, only to have a 'man sized' ventilation shaft system that ran the entire length of the boat? 1 Link to comment

My sister got TOTALLY bent out of shape when I said Sabrina/Kate Jackson, and stuck to my answer despite her badgering me that I was an idiot for picking her (which she was going to do anyway, no matter who I picked; I was two years younger than her, but I always got how the big sister/little brother thing worked better than she did). nachomama October 9, 2019 Share October 9, 2019 I really liked Erin Gray. When boys argued over who was the "hotter Heather" Locklear versus Thomas (Fall Guy) I was always like I would have chosen Erin Gray or of course Kelly from charlies Angels (Linda Carter also) as my go to. I didn't really get the appeal of Farrah Fawcett either. I thought she was odd looking. I think I like brunettes because Daisy Duke was up next in the lineup. Maybe because I grew up in New Mexico and we didn't have any blondes. Although I really liked Jamie Sommers, The Bionic Woman. I think I was a very odd child...I was attracted to the way she pushed her hair back behind her ear when she wanted to "highlight" her super sonic hearing. For some reason I really like "The Far Side of the Mountain" a movie Lindsey Wagner did about a skiier who was paralyzed from falling off a mountain. Nashville October 12, 2019 Share October 12, 2019 So - it’s Saturday now. S10Ep2 airs tomorrow. Here’s the thing, though: S10Ep1 is still sitting on my DVR unwatched - and right now, I feel absolutely no motivation to watch it. Just the notion of watching it strikes me more than a little like an unwelcome chore. And seeing as how I’m already at that point in life where my yesterdays outnumber my tomorrows, life’s too fucking short to waste my time on shit I don’t want to do. So while I’ll still probably keep my nose stuck in some of the TWD forum topics (like Small Talk), I reckon I’m done with the continuing series. So thanks a lot, Production; you succeeded in doing something 3 or 4 years ago I would’ve sworn was impossible - you made TWD boring. Who would’ve thought we’d miss Carl and his pudding this much...? 4 Link to comment

I think, "I have to clean out that closet today, take out the garbage and watch TWD." Only once have I given up on a series I'd previously liked. The few series I've watched in the last 10+years I still rewatch seasons or episodes and still greatly enjoy them. My DVR snatches every TWD episode from the last couple seasons and I feel like I'm playing "Whack-a-Mole" as I can't delete them fast enough. The thought of rewatching any of them fills me with despair. It's gone from "That was awesome," to "Well, at least it wasn't too horrible." I was thinking I'd stick TWD out til the bitter end, but now it seems it may never end. I don't want to end up in a nursing home, watching Judith's grandaughter's adventures. For now, I'm only here for the Live Chat thread and the forum, for the witty and interesting posts. 2 Link to comment

I watch shows and ff thru ads, and have little interest in sharing my immediate experience with anyone but my cat - who does not interrupt my show with exclamations of "OMG" or "Wowza", etc. He lets me do all the yelling at my TeeVee, and I like it that way! :~) 1 1 Link to comment
