It's really interesting to me that these racers don't immediately pick the cypher up.

And that so many of them don't know how to pronounce Cyrillic.

Melinda & Erika are at the university now.

They're relieved to see Han & Holden there.

Carson & Jack also miss the Klek Shop.

Carson spots the shop, and they open it for their clue.

One team member must learn a Bulgarian dance routine.

Mark is taking the task, since he has a dance background.

Han & Holden are panicking at the cypher.

Carson & Jack reach the library, and they're happy to see Han & Holden and Melinda & Erika.

Comparing how much TAR packs into its 90 minutes vs how little Survivor not-packs into its 90 minutes … wow.  Lots of bang for your buck in the TAR 90 minute viewing.

How did Carson and Jack catch up?  Oh, wait, the other teams had navigation problems at the start, didn't they?

No it just said no taxis. One team said that meant they could walk or take a bus. I guess not knowing metro would be an option.

Carson and Jack needed to be a little more subtle about picking up that cypher.

Carson & Jack find the decoder clue and tried to keep it a secret.  But they weren't secretive enough.  Holden saw it.

And just like that, they flip on Melinda & Erika and leave them hanging.

I’m a little bored, so I’m inserting the Asian ladies that love line dancing into this scene.

Jonathan & Ana find the museum in third.

Mark is practicing the dance, but is ready to try it.

Mark got it.

That basilica is beautiful.  But pit stop already?  This was just a run around and get tired leg of the race.

Mark does the dance and clears it on the first try!

He and Brett are in first place!

Next stop: Pit Stop at St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.  Last team is eliminated.

Oh, Josiah grew up on the border of Mexico?  I didn't grow up there, but I lived on the border.

Han & Holden are lying to Melinda & Erika.  They clear the cypher task in fourth place.  But they're going to tell Melinda & Erika after Carson & Jack get cleared.

That works better when you're at the front of the pack.  If you're near the back, and they know they are because Carson and Jack were so far behind at the start, you need to play your own game.

Han & Holden tell Melinda & Erika, after all.  But Han insists that Holden not give them the whole answer.

So they didn't totally help them.
