20 minutes in, completely Team Sai. She's clear & direct when others are a bit wishy washy. Plus, bonus points for coming right out & asking Brynn about her "career".

You know, I wouldn't even care so much how Brynn supports herself, but she is so insulting of the other women's success. In all my years of watching Housewives, I've never seen a more jealous, competitive woman. She makes it sound like unless you're at the very, very top of your field, your accomplishments mean nothing.

Ubah may not be Naomi, but being a successful working model is no small feat. Most women would kill to have Ubah's career. I see nothing wrong with modeling for Dress Barn, but Ubah has also modeled for big designers like Ralph Lauren.

Rebecca Minkoff was actually the only person I knew of prior to RHONY. (I hadn't even heard of Jenna.) Her bags may not be Chanel, but she ran a very successful company of many years. Brynn thinks she's so cute and funny making fun of her stuff being sold at Nordstrom Rack, way to be snobby to a lot of the audience that shops there!

Let's say Brynn is honest about working in PR or whatever. Her life is such a mystery, I don't see how she'd even afford Nordstrom Rack to be honest. With her reasoning regarding the other women, unless she's the #1 PR expert in the world, her career means nothing.

I don't see what that has to do with the show

Ordinarily I’d say that Erin’s politics have nothing to do with the show. Selfishly, I’d love to come to RHW as a politics-free space, where I can forget about the cares of the world and just focus on, like, the unkempt state of Jenna’s pubic hair for the next hour or whatever.

That said, Erin was *on the show* talking about her abortion and how they should be destigmatized, all while funding anti-choice policies. So, that does seem relevant.

I do apologize if I revealed too much of her personal information...I just found it hypocritical, that's all (as is much of what is done & said on this show).

It also infuriated me in terms of her disclosure being treated as some kind of exercise in feminist moral courage.

Just an example of rich privilege as even in the bad old days she would have gone to Puerto Rico.

My theory based only on conjecture, the best kind of theory, is that they dislike her because she enjoys things.

Jessel's baseline leans towards contentment and theirs lean towards discontentment.

Jessel doesn't seem to have a mean bone in her body.  A bit of an airhead but I don't see her as calculated.  She just enjoys pretty things including her photos :).

Brynn never sits up straight. She’s always kind of laying back in her chair with her head tilted and her stupid jaw jutted it out.

I would guess it’s because of her difficult childhood she has had to learn to look like she ‘doesn’t care’. It’s a fake ‘you can’t hurt me because I don’t care’; or ‘it didn’t work out because I didn’t try’; or ‘I didn’t fail, I just didn’t care enough’.

So ... we still don't know wtf Brynn actually does for work. 🙄

Brynn has said that she’s a communications consultant. This just seems like “a regular job” like most people have. I’m not sure why she positions herself like she has some executive-level career like Boz from RHBH, who has been Chief Marketing Officer for Netflix, PepsiCo, and other major global corporations. I mean, I’m sure Brynn has done work that she’s proud of and my intention is not to diminish her career. Just relatively speaking, she’s bringing that comparison into discussion by the way she acts like her career is on a whole different level than everyone else’s. Like, you’re really going to do that when you’re sitting next to Jenna? Though, I think that’s why Jenna always gets her respect and reverence and admiration. Jenna is top tier; Brynn considers herself #2 “girl boss” of the show—if that’s still a “thing.”

Apology-Gate:

I think the first stone thrower should offer the first apology.

So… I think Sai should be the first to apologise to Pavit. Implying he was going to Thailand for sex was awful. No wonder he was narky towards Sai. Not excusing his comments about her, but I do understand why he was awful and called her a bitch and bi-polar.

It's all very bizarre to me. How would Brynn remotely be #2 girl boss? She's repeatedly mocked Rebecca's career, but if you google her, there is lots of info about her and endless search results of her products. I think we can confirm how all the others have the lifestyles they have too. Brynn is the only one that is a mystery. I also think it's weird that as sensitive as she is about men helping her financially (Jeff Lewis NEVER said sex work), she brags about Russian billionaires. I can ignore her being flirty and leading with sex, because I know sometimes people with trauma act out in the ways Brynn does. But the way she portrays herself and tries to portray the others can be very confusing.

I get that Housewives thrives on drama and pettiness. But some of these women are actual friends right? Brynn at one point felt very close to Ubah. In life, some of us will just have jobs. Some of us will be "girl bosses." Some might be full-time moms/homemakers. There are many different paths. I have friends  who make a lot more money than me. I have friends who make a lot less than me. It's all good. I love them, and we're not competitive with one another.  It would be a friendship dealbreaker for me if a friend of mine knocked my career in order to come across as #2 girl boss of the show.

Since the beginning, Brynn's career claims have been a lot of smoke & mirrors. I'm surprised she hasn't been called out on it sooner. Her claims:

In her summary, Whitfield says she has a “wealth of experience” working on award-winning PR and marketing campaigns for brands including Shell Oil, Johnson & Johnson, Unilever, and Assembly, which is described as a “$1.7 billion e-commerce scale-up and tech unicorn.” Some of her career highlights include helping to put together a Dove campaign that won a Cannes Gold Lion award, leading the Zicam PR Team to win a Telly Award for Best Branded Content, and “working on the BP Deepwater Horizon Gulf Oil Spill.” https://www.bustle.com/entertainment/brynn-whitfield-job-history-rhony

Yet her employment history of her Linkedin profile (which includes the above claims in the about section) does not reflect a seasoned consultant. Note, for those not in the corporate world, Linkedin is your resume.  https://www.linkedin.com/in/brynnwhitfield/  She also lists attending George Washington University Graduate School in 2007 when she didn't finish undergrad at Purdue until 2008.

Maybe she did actually work on all the PR campaigns she's claiming, but it would've been at an assistant/account manager level 10+ years ago. People want to know what she's doing now (aside from the show) to support herself. Just this season, she claimed to be leading a team building an app, traveling between NY & London. Where is that on her employment history?

And frankly, no one would really care if she didn't continually denigrate the careers of her castmates.

Why do I get the feeling that Brynn Whitfield is just a younger version of Sonja Morgan?  Sonja, too, had a much more highly elevated version of her employment and work/social history than was actually factual.

Sonja, on the show, was also very flirtatious and sex-forward.

Brynn and Sonja both enjoy playing the coquette, and seem to turn on the sex appeal when in the vicinity of an available (or not) male.

Sonja and Brynn both seem to elaborate on the truth in big ways.

The difference between Sonja and Brynn is that Sonja came to the show AFTER she married well and divorced.  Brynn is still looking for that.

And, lastly, the biggest difference is that I don't recall Sonja ever being deliberately mean or nasty to any of her castmates, or intentionally being cruel with her comments or lies.

I was traveling, so I'm watching last week's Bravo shows now.

What Brynn said about Jessel's husband not being the love of her life (but that another guy was) was one of her worst lies, in line with Ubah knowing about her rape, and still accusing her of using her sexuality to advance herself. I can't imagine being Pavit, or his family. It's different to embellish (something that she did, as well), and to make up lies.

Unforgivable, in my opinion.   Brynn needs to be gone, but they keep the worst ones see:Erika from RHOB

I thought the lie about the love of Jessel’s life was worse, because whatever she heard or misremembered, there’s no reason whatsoever to say that on camera. Brynn was calm at the time. Why say something so hurtful? She said that she used to enjoy ridiculing Jessel with Sai and Erin. That goes beyond ridiculing.

She was blind with fury and emotional pain when she claimed Ubah knew about the assault. Then when she was thinking more clearly, she considered that maybe it had not registered with Ubah. So, unpopular opinion, but I do think that there’s a pretty good chance that Brynn was just out of her mind babbling when she made that horrendous claim.

These women shouldn't ridicule Jessel. Why? Erin and Sai are not as nasty as Brynn, but they are not that great either. They don't consider Jessel equal to them socially, and they are annoyed she became a fan favorite after S1.
