As everyone around here knows, I live in Salem, MA, and the Hocus Pocus house is besieged every October. Its in a residential neighborhood and the street is closed to traffic for the month. People have actually gone up on onto the porch and posed for their Instas. Anything can be a tourist destination these days!

Oops. Now this is more like it! He isn’t losing the weight as quickly. Now we’re on more familiar ground.

Well, losing 38 lbs is great compared with most of the losers on this show, but still, I expected better.

Month 1- 641

Month 3- 554, down 84 lbs. 

Month 5-(Jonathan moving to Houston first, Tzena to follow later.   However, Jonathan didn't move yet.)  

Month 7-Finally moving to Houston, into temporary housing.  He's really being outgoing with the nurse.   Weight-516 lost 38 lbs in 4 months.

His breathing is scaring me.   Maybe it's the thick humidity in Houston, and the heat.  

Nursing licenses are transferable from IL to TX, they're part of the interstate nursing licensing compact.   Houston is a huge medical center, so Tzena should be able to find a job easily, maybe one that pays a hiring bonus. 

I'm impressed, he wears shoes and pants.  

Month 8-Tzena arrived in Houston.  He looks a lot smaller than he used to.

I guess when you are losing weight, changing your eating habits, exercising, not fighting with your spouse, not having bad-ass kids, being kind, polite, respectful...

Plus he must have started early as his 12 hour drive was virtually all in daylight. Most poundticipants start later in day. He's an outlier in many ways.

I tried to get my daughter to watch the Dolly episode with me. She was horrified and only lasted about 20 minutes. She was also horrified that I watch this crap.

I noticed he arrived around 930pm. I am guessing he left around 8 accounting for bathroom and meal breaks.

Well, we'll get to see the surgery, and Dr. Now holding up Jonathan's stomach for us all to admire. We'll get to see Jonathan sadly sipping broth. Follow up visit with Dr. Now with possibly more weight lost. We'll go for the big finish, Jonathan and Tzena walking in some cruddy park while he voice overs that this is just the beginning of his journey and he's excited to see what the future holds. Scene.

I saw the park and my eyes shot right to the clock because that was my signal that the show was ending. And I was wrong!
