Exactly. It's all well and good to exercise. But to actually lose weight she needs to eat less, period.

Weight loss is mainly diet….some people back slide because they feel like they can eat more after a work out but you never burn as many calories as you think you do

Where is the catch with the husband?  He has all his teeth, he drives, he works out, he encourages her, he doesn't push food on her...  Though she is not a low-life like some poundticipants, and they met through her work, so maybe there are no gory secrets there, just two people who fell in love.

😂 all his teeth…I am dead

Ugh, bronchitis at that weight must be extra hellish. Facebook memories reminded me recently of when I had a bad chest cold about six years ago; it sucked but I can't imagine carrying an extra 400 pounds on top of it.

She worried me for a second, asking him to pull the car up and sounding out of breath. Was afraid the cut to the hospital was going to be her finding out she has pneumonia or something instead of a month later getting surgery.

I was skinny when I had pneumonia and I thought I was dying. I couldn’t imagine something like that at over 500lbs

I've had "borderline" pneumonia and I felt like I had just run up several flights of stairs just sitting on my floor transferring laundry from a basket to a duffel bag (that was after having the flu the previous week; brought my laundry to my parents' house so I could do it there after going back to the doctor...my mom ended up doing it while I slept). It was over a month before I could take the stairs without stopping in the middle after I finally went back to work.

That sucks...  Last week I needed to do laundry because my Mom was also sick, and we were both sweating through at least one set of bedding through the night.  I went downstairs to load it in, and then back up - and my heart rate was into 130s as if I ran up five floors instead of walking up one floor...  My heart rate is still high and spikes with any exertion, so I think I will cancel the swimming lesson I am supposed to have on Friday, I don't think I am up for it yet.  And it wasn't even any kind of severe disease.

Pregnant at 14? So either I misheard something earlier or my math was wrong.

The week before, I started getting sick on Sunday (I was fine, at my parents' for dinner, and then around 8:00 I was suddenly just utterly exhausted). The next night I started getting a fever, it went up over the following day, and by Wednesday morning it was almost 104 degrees. My mom had to pick me up and take me to the doctor because I could barely sit up straight, let alone drive anywhere. Then I spent the rest of the week in my childhood bedroom, wearing my dad's PJ pants and t-shirts because I didn't have any changes of clothes. Then the next week I started coughing.

We all had what I think was RSV around here. I was so exhausted I could barely stand for more than a few minutes. I lived on toast because it was too hard to make anything else. Even dropping bread in the toaster was such a struggle. This shit that's going around right now is no joke.

Oh God, The Cough! Mine hung on for two full weeks. Nightmare. I hope you're feeling better now!

Mine was COVID confirmed by two tests.  I never lost appetite - my Mom and my friend who both got it from me, unfortunately, did.  I strongly believe in the magic of chicken soup so that's what we made and ate - good thing Cornish hens come in twos, first we used one, then the other.  Also good thing that my Mom didn't start feeling bad until I started to feel better, we only really overlapped for one day when we were both sick.  And I was only really badly off for three days, Mom for two days, otherwise it was more nuisance symptoms than anything really bad.
