I am guilty of constantly preparing and never actually doing. Workouts I've bookmarked but never do, videos about decluttering and organizing but not actually getting rid of anything or putting things away, reading about meal prepping but never knowing what my next meal will be (and then tossing a frozen mac & cheese and broccoli into the microwave at 7:06 even though I've been home all day and off work since 5...).

Slowing weight loss is a bad sign.    I think Carlton is depressed, and needs therapy with Dr. Paradise.    At least Carlton's pants are staying above his fanny.  

They're not following the protein first routine, and they should be.   

How can she sit there, and not tell the doctor she's pregnant?

We sold our house and got rid of nearly everything we owned. Got all new furniture and appliances for the first time in our adult lives. I also got rid of most of my work clothes when I  retired. Been retired 3 years and did another massive clean out if 5 garbage bags of clothes. Its been cathartic

When I was working I had a two hour commute, each way. I was up at 5 every day. I feel your pain. Now that I'm retired I don't know how I did it.

Hahahaha, I also haunt estate sales and thrift shops and flea markets, but I try to adhere to a "one in, one out" rule. Getting rid of old stuff makes room for new stuff!

I got a new mattress in 2021, after I retired. Repainted my bedroom and I've found some really nice botanical prints at thrift stores. Every night when I nestle into my comfy bed I am filled with happiness. 

Currently my carpet goes from the living room, down the hall, and into both bedrooms (pretty sure it's been here since the place was built in the 90s). The kitchen and 'dining' area are laminate flooring, and the entryway is tile that was leftover from the bathroom. I was thinking of replacing the carpet in the living room/hall/my bedroom, but doing laminate in the other room (which is my office/library/storage room). I also would like to replace the bedroom set (dresser, night stand, and desk) that I've had since 8th grade (I'll be 50 this year...), and maybe see about getting my other dresser refinished (that I've literally had since I was a baby and I love it and will never willingly get rid of it...but the finish is a tad worse for wear).

It took me a couple of years to do that. It was really hard to get rid of the texts and resource books I used. I also had tons of printed out journal  papers as most of my classes didn't have texts (grad school), so my students read articles.  I also had a problem not writing - I wanted to keep everything so I could write another article. Laugh if you must, but I asked God to let me get one more publication and then I would feel better about letting go - and I did!

I wanted to do my home office in a kind of dark academia. My sister retired from retail, where she did a lot of department displays. She helped me with my shelving - taking away some of the books and papers so I could put decor on the shelves. When I realized I could move some of the books out of the room, that helped a lot. I wasn't going to burst into flames without all my academic stuff. 

I got into doing doll house room vignettes in pretty cardboard suitcases. This is my dark academia room. The papers in the typewriter and on the floor are the 1st chapter of my dissertation, in 4 pt font. I try to make what I can, or alter plain piece, but I also buy furniture and accessories.

Oh, yeah, all work clothes were in the first round of donations! Six trash bags full. Lately houseguest and I have been finding fabulous coats while thrifting, I think I've bought four or five this winter. But I did purge the shitty old coats. I was damned if I was going to let a practically new DKNY coat get away.

That sounds like a solid plan! You have a lot of fun ahead, looking at samples and picking stuff out. Def keep the dresser. Are you handy at all? Try refinishing it yourself, its not really that hard to do.

When I got the flu 15 years ago (on Valentine's Day!), I was fine and then all of a sudden I was just exhausted. I was at my parents' house and had brought my sheets over to do laundry, planning to just put them back on the bed. When I got home I was so tired I almost just slept on the mattress cover with my comforter, but as crappy as I felt I just couldn't do it.

I consider sleeping until 8 am an absolute dissipated luxury. I'm usually up by 6 or 7. Drink my coffee, read my email, take my shower, then spend my days (the ones when I'm not Mom sitting, anyway) doing whatever I want. Mostly lolling around on the sofa. I love retirement.

I'm betting they both gained.   I can't believe Shantel's dress, with a slit up to her fanny.      

So 1 year mark she's gaining.   And she's going to use the baby as an excuse to gain a lot.    Carlton lost 29 lbs, so that's decent for him.  

"Do you value your life?" Dr. Now is telling her the truth.  

I wonder if she's seeing an obstetrician?    I hope so.

I've been unloading my large clothes and gradually replacing them with pants in my actual size. However, somehow I ended up with three separate pairs of black stretch pants (nice ones) and about five pairs of jeans and not much else! I am in not so big a hurry to replace all my shirts and polar fleeces because I like my tops looser and more relaxed.

I do spend a lot of time in leggings and oversized sweatshirts because I go to the gym almost every day. The bigger pants give me an extra layer of warmth so I'm hanging in to them until spring. I have a belt now in case the pants start sagging down dangerously!

And why hasn't she mentioned the pregnancy yet? There must be some kind of adjustments to "de diet" for a safe pregnancy.

I got into a bunch of crafts. I retired a few months before covid, which really messed up my plans to travel, take classes, etc. I do some felted wool and made a nativity scene for this past Christmas. Don't mind the dead sheep. I didn't realize it was upside down when I took the picture. I ended up making a few more shepherds and sheep. They're fun to do and don't take long, but I'm nowhere near the level where I want to be.
