I’d have been out at around 8:15 if it weren’t for you guys. I have so many more interesting shows to watch!

I started Life on Mars on....Acorn? Britbox? Modern day cop  in Manchester England gets hit by a car and somehow wakes up in 1973. Is he in a coma? Time traveling? Insane? Who knows? But he has to navigate life and policing in a very different time. Entertaining and very well done.

I’m still not finished with Spiral. I’ll miss it when I get to the last episode.

I'm sorry. I don't have the patience for this guy. I wasn't fooling about the nuns. I went to Catholic school back when the nuns wore a full habit and had no problem spanking kids in class. God help you if you didn't do your homework. You stood up when Sister entered the classroom and you spoke respectfully.

I'm no longer Catholic, but I really feel that discipline got me far in life and through a lot of problems. Get the heck up and do something? Work on yourself. Work to help other people. Open your eyes and speak like you're awake. Clean your room. Sometimes you have to do things on someone else's time. Someone's going to force you to do something you don't want to do at the moment. Suck.it.up. and stop complaining.

I don't know what his sister sees in him. I can't imagine what they talk about that she's so happy to be with him.

Oh, and houseguest and I watched the first season of Dark Winds, based on a Tony Hillerman novel, about a Navajo police officer on the rez. It was GREAT. We're saving up season two to savor at a less chaotic time.

I watched that when it was on FX(?). It was very good. Second season is excellent as well.

I went to public school and wasn't really raised with religion. But my parents had zero patience with us not going to school, doing our work, achieving. I was one of six and my mom used to scream " get a hobby!"  at us when she was tired of listening to us bicker and complain.

Our biggest fear (I’m one of four kids) was to disappoint our mother.
