S21.E06: Night Moves

Teddy and Owen plan a date night that gets derailed in more ways than one; Jo struggles to do it all at home; Mika adds more to her plate to make up for taking time off to be with her sister; Levi is faced with a monumental decision.

I kept thinking Yasuda was going to mess up and kill that patient, and her exit from the show was her getting fired. I can't decide if having a great night only to tragically get in a car accident is better or worse. She and Jules have great chemistry too.

Is Schmidt leaving for the research job immediately? Doesn't he have to officially finish his residency in order to later get a Peds fellowship?

Owen is annoying. I enjoyed Teddy's scenes with that woman more than anything she has done in years.

It was nice seeing Jo and Amelia interact. It makes sense that they would have to spend time together because of Scout and they both could use a female friend.

I rolled my eyes at his storming off when Teddy told him the other woman kissed her.  Though I'll give the writers some credit and perhaps Teddy getting kissed by the doctor reminded him of her lies about Allison and how he unknowingly ended up agreeing to name their kid after Teddy's dead girlfriend.

Please let this lead to an arc about Teddy leaving Owen and getting together with a nice single mother.

Same. The car crash was the first time in years that Greys actually surprised me. I don’t think they’re going to kill her off though. She’ll probably get the same send off as Edward’s did back in s13 and decide to leave her job to take advantage of her second chance. I’m glad Levi got a nice send off though. He’s never been a favourite but I thought his goodbyes were sweet. And idk where they’re going with Jo’s baby plot, but during her conversation with Amelia, I thought the show was hinting at an abortion or a reduction. Probably not, but she’s already so miserable about the baby situation that I wouldn’t mind. No one on this show needs more kids.

Really disappointed that Sophia Bush aka Brooke Davis aka Cassie Beckman came for Teddy and not for Amelia! 🤨
Btw, this woman, Sophia Bush, is so beautiful that it should be forbidden!

Oh, that's why she looked so familiar. She is joining the show, so this wasn't a one off. Maybe she and Teddy will have an affair.

But that would be better than what I was thinking, which was that her sister would die and she quit out of guilt.

Owen remains an idiot.  The time to worry would be if she didn’t tell him about the kiss and he found out from someone else.

I think Yasuda is a goner. It’s been several years since one of the regulars has died. I thought Schmidt was going to go down in the helicopter a few weeks ago but I guess he gets the departure to greener pastures exit. The show loves to kill someone off after they have finally gotten to a good place so Yasuda will be joining George, Lexie, Derek, and several others on Meredith’s beach. I hope her sister survives.

Haha, Brooke Davis came to town to shake things up!
I know she will be there for few eps, so, yeah, looks like she's gonna have an affair with Teddy... Such a big waste of an actress for me (only bc she's not for Amelia 😅) but I don't mind at all to see Owen even more miserable 😁
Sophia Bush always dreamed of joining Grey's Anatomy, so, I guess, we will also see her her in scrubs. Also her and Caterina Scorsone are friends in real life and it's understandable that being lovers on sceen would be extremely weird!

Honestly, its time someone dies! GA has gone soft 🤨 They were trolling us with Owen dying in the car accident and Teddy after the collapse...

Teddy is much more interesting when she's apart from Owen. I hope this leads to them splitting up, though I've had that hope before. She could have just not told him about the kiss, so it's better she shared. And the way she said it, it seemed obvious it was a surprise to her and that she wasn't into it. 

I also liked Jo and Amelia interacting.

I'm confused why people are mad at Owen's here.

Regardless of whether or not she told Owen, Owen has the right to not be happy about this. Especially with Teddy's past relationship. Owen is no angel.

I'm not saying necessarily here but people would be on Teddy's side if Owen was involved in drunken kiss with a woman and she got mad. It wouldn't matter if he initiated it or liked it.

The scenes were nice but I'm not here for this retcon bullshit that Linc secretly had feelings for Jo the entire time he/Amelia were together or that Amelia felt some kind of way about their close friendship. Linc had known Jo back when she was Brooke and they were always written as brother/sister until Alex left the show and Jo needed a new scene partner/love interest.

Unless Amelia was making all of that up to try and cheer Jo up, in which case I'm still mad at it but at least it isn't a retcon.

If the kiss between Cassie & Teddy happened about 5 years ago, or just at the time towen were in happy love, they would both laugh it off and had fun about it... But since the love is almost dead but frustration is still on, there's only anger left 😁

Good point. When Amelia and Linc were together he was really in love with her and they were a great couple.

Jo and Alex were really in love too until they had to write Alex off.

I think he has a right to be mad, but he just stormed out when Teddy was trying to be open and tell him about what happened. It felt very childish.

Amelia and Linc were a good couple--and I'm still not into Jo/Linc. I wish they'd found someone new for Jo and kept the brother/sister relationship with Linc

I was sad at Yasuda falling asleep,  then that horrible collision. Hopefully  she will live, but will her sister.? 

What's going to happen  to Schmitt  and his chaplain,  I like those two as a couple.
