Crazy how Shane actually amuses me now.

Shane has grown on me too. His snarkiness makes me laugh and it does seem like he and Emily have a good marriage.

Matt seems normal and a pretty nice guy to me (so far, ha). He may have been aware of what he was getting into when Katie signed up for this; however, I can't help but think he was saying to himself, "WTF is wrong with these people????" at Katie's dinner party.

That was a really sad dinner party. The food looked so unappetizing and boring in those little foil pans. They didn't have any appetizers or snack items either-- really easy to get drunk without nibbles. Whenever there are drinks served, there should always be food served as well. Always. And water.

I don't think Gina is that dumb, but her cutesy New York gal in OC schtick, voice and inflections, and the way she waters down and exagerates EVERY   THINNNG she SAYYYS..... LOL, Haha..... EVERY.... time, takes long pauses between what she finds to be building a punchline and smirks and laughs at her pretty basic comments makes her seem dumb. If she just talked and didn't try to be so hard to brand her voice and mannerisms and be an OC Fran Drescher, she would be so much more likeable. 

I think Gina and her Matt are still banging. She's just a little too friendly and a little too "happy" about their wedding. It seemed more like digging disguised as fake support. I noticed Matt seemed way more engaged with Gina (he finds her funny! Good sign) and very interested in her than his fiance at the meatball tasting thing. She definitely looks a million times better now that she has some money than she did at the beginning of her runs on the show.

I think he was a little sauced when he wrote it, TBH, probably because she was pissed at him later for getting on her about drinking and how he tried to wave her off when she started ranting at the table. I think deep down he is sick of her shit. Unless they show it in this week’s episode, he didn’t exactly go chasing after her.

His comment after they arrived at Katie’s about Teetotaler/Shannon Scold Tamra watching her liquor was verrrrry interesting. I may have to go back and rewatch, but it seemed he was hanging back a lot right before and after Jenn and Ryan showed up, and I don’t think it was all because of Ryan.

I would love to see Andy turn to her at the reunion and ask if she — ahem — has “a problem”, given her behavior. I mean, fair is fair.

Same, I had never heard Candy Perfume Girl before @Palimelon posted it, I don't think I understand @LibertarianSlut post, was she mocking me? The confusion is real, I used to have my finger on the pulse of all things hip and cool but now my hip hurts and my pulse is weak, lol.

That song is from Madonna's 1998 album Ray of Light. As someone in their mid-40s, I used to own the album (probably still do, in my box of CDs that are in storage that I haven't opened in a decade) and bought it when it came out.

I even didn't remember the song at first, but most likely because it wasn't one the singles released at the time.

I noticed right away that Eddie stood back and kept his eyes on Tamra the entire time, watching her behavior and drinking. The only time he relaxed was when Tamra left and got into the car.

Eddie looks rough, he hasn't  aged well. Married  to Tamra I can see why. He has to whisper  to her  not to drink too much, ask the host to stop serving  her, something  is wrong with those two. I hated how happy  she was, Shannon being sued was in people  magazine. Heather showed more compassion. 

When Tamra walked away and tripped,  I rewatched  that, just knowing  she was so ticked off. Ryan  is right, she's not happy, especially  knowing Jenn is.

Jenn is happy with Ryan? Ryan can say whatever he wants on tv, but we heard already in the previous season that he dumped her, dated other women, and when she got cast for the show he reconnected with her. And she had a storyline, as well.

Tamra spilling her drink and Eddie asking the host to not serve her anymore was awesome. It sounds like Eddie is aware of her drinking problem and dealing with it whenever they go out. He couldn’t be bothered to get up and go after her when she went out.

Jenn left her husband to feed Ryan’s ego? I feel certain he let her and her children move in so he could be on camera and promote his career of talking about himself and dressing himself in fitted ugly clothes.

Ryan dumped Jenn, and was dating other women. He got back with her when she got cast for the show.

Big-boned is not a thing.  She’s tall, yes but everyone *can* be a size 0.  I know this because I’ve been literally all sizes through my life.  Even if you have a wider structure, you can be a 0.

I beg to differ. I'm tall and I have broad shoulders and wide hips. Even when I was thinner, I was still bigger than this other girl at school who had a much smaller frame. I'm just built wide.

Yes like I said, there’s taller and there is wider but anyone can be a size 0.  Even if the bones are longer or set wider.  

“She’s just big boned” is a joke, the bones don’t determine how thin you can get or what size you wear.  My sister is tall, has pronounced bones, very wide hips, she is a 0.

 

ETA I don’t think Emily needs to lose any weight, she looks fine and she doesn’t need to change herself to fit society’s stupid norms.  After I lost weight, people congratulated me.  Why?  “Good for you, you starved yourself.”  It’s so weird.

I have clothes in a range of sizes that all fit me.  It depends on the manufacturer; higher end clothes tend to use smaller size labels than the less expensive clothing.  Jeans are a great example.   I remember once in my 30s buying several pairs of one brand/style of jeans because the outside label said 6 when in reality I was an 8/10 lol.   On the flip side, I remember a really cute dress that I wore once because it was a 12.  As a teenager, there was a store in the mall that only carried sizes 0-5.  It was a badge of honor to say you shop there. I actually starved myself to get into a size 4 - pants that fit me for 20 minutes/until I ate a meal.  

Seems silly to me now twenty years older but then I don't live in Orange County - or anywhere where anyone would care about that.  Still, I get what Emily is trying to make Heather understand but what Emily needs to understand is people like Heather will never hear anyone that doesn't think she's wonderful and perfect.  The image Heather has of herself isn't anywhere near the reality of who she is and how she treats people.

It comes down to measurements. A true size 0 may have hips that are large compared to the rest of her frame, but will still be only 32 to 35 inches to fit most size 0 clothing. This kind of applies to me, but I'd describe myself as small-framed for being tall. My shoulders are smaller than most tall women's. My band size isn't even 32. I have a smaller rib cage and smaller wrists than most of my friends much shorter than me, and my waist is unusually tiny. I can get fluffy and still have a low weight for my height because of my bones. However, my hips aren't the smallest, yet still small enough to fit into a size 0 at my thinnest. I used to hate this about myself because if I wear baggy clothing, I appear to be a bigger girl than I am. (Even had an eating disorder back in the day because I wanted to get rid of my hips.) Camille and Dorit are Real Housewife examples of this kind of body. They are both really skinny but have hips. I wouldn't say their hips are very wide though. Nothing on a size 0-2 woman is truly wide.

Rewatching, and I think I understand why Emily was so upset over the dress. The same dress in a size 12 will look much different than a size 0, or whatever Lex’s size was. I think she was looking at it as a passive-aggressive move on Heather’s part, which is reasonable, given it’s Heather. Em is still extremely sensitive about her appearance.

One thing I did miss the first time around was Eddie going up to “bartender” Matt and telling him to cut off Tamra. So at least to me Eddie has seen this behavior out of Tamra before.  Only trash like Tamra would bring up the hostess’s butthole at the table. If this were not a command performance per Bravo, Katie should have told her to leave, and take her gutless wonder of a husband with her.
