S06•E16 — Toxic Behavior

Am sorry but Remy decoding the cipher is too far fetched. I will believe it if it’s Hana. 😆

Totally.  As much as I couldn't believe that (though I did enjoy a shot where his boards were in the background behind him and showed that he had tried using the word "moron" to crack the cipher) - I really couldn't believe that actual cryptographers at the FBI weren't on it and getting to the coded message first.  Maybe I missed it and they said cryptographers were working it at the same time, but come on.  Those people are experts and they will use real tools.  Not scrawling stuff like "moron" by hand and cracking the cipher that way.

Only 6 more episodes for Remy to tell his team to roll out.  But nothing will top the episode maybe 2 seasons ago when he called them "little homies."  Dylan McDermott must have improvised that.  I refuse to believe it was in the script.

Scola was wrong to go behind Nina's back to give the money, even though they have it. He's enabling bad behavior. They would have been better off helping Tink offload the expensive mortgage they can't afford and helping them with a deposit into a rental they could afford without the deadbeat brother-in-law.

Scola gave her the money while she was still in New York- and separated from her awful spouse.  I’m sure he thought he was helping his SIL get a fresh start.

When she got home, then she forgave her awful husband and moved him back in.  So Scola should be mad at his SIL- Instead he tried to talk Nina into forgiving her BIL and giving  him a second chance.

I will agree  that Scola should have discussed the money  with Nina. Especially if they have combined their accounts.  Even if not, she knows her sister better than Scola does.  She might have known that her sister was liable to get back with her spouse. However - Scola did tell her as soon as he saw her, so there is that. He wasn’t hiding it from her- just wanted to tell her in person.

Why would the fugitive apprehension team be called before they even know if there is a fugitive?  And then who the fugitive is and where to look for them at?  For all they knew at the time, it could have been a corporate toxic spill.   The first half hour of this should have  been FBI analysts, CDC etc.     I’m sure they have better code crackers than Remy.

I DO NOT care about Remy’s love life.  There is no chemistry there at all…. Plus I don’t like Remy.  I really liked Jess, and his family,  but his love  life in that  last season was also boring.  Jen Landon did a much better job with Teeter and Colby in Yellowstone.

Ray hugging Jason in that rooftop scene after stopping him from ruining his life is just heartbreaking. 💔

Agreed on both points. That poor kid--he's going to need a lot of counseling. I wonder if he'd be charged with anything?

Another good episode, good case and investigation, I like the twists it took and how they got to the bottom of it. I figured the husband was innocent but wasn’t sure who the killer would be. I thought the preacher should’ve put up a fight or at least tried to get out of the car before the perp shot him, he didn’t react until it was too late. Nice tackle of the killer by Ray at the end.
I wonder if Barnes is going to leave the team at the end of the show? I’ll really miss this show when it’s gone, love the cases and like the characters, so stupid it and International were cancelled, love them both.

S06•E17 — Gut Job

This is way better than last week’s episode. And Hana is back!

Olin is the killer but Pastor Westin is the heinous one — a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Am guessing Remy will now hire Jake Carman to renovate his bar. Jake seems like an honest guy.

Sheryll deserves a supervisory role. It’s about time. It’s good that she wants to do something different for herself. Plus, her current girlfriend doesn’t seem to be a good fit for her.

S06 | Episode 17 — Gut Job

Was Dick Wolf on vacation?

The perps weren't  shall I say "the usual type".  You always know who is the good and bad guys with a Wolf show.

No biggie if Barnes decides to take that job.  Time to go in a different direction.

Maybe Kristen will return for the remaining episodes!  The show needs Kristin!!

Really good episode tonight - I liked the twists and turns the case took and how they got to the bottom of it. The husband and his mistress were real dirtbags, very satisfying to see them go down, and the guy who was duped into committing the murder of the wife was dumb as a rock. I really like the dark twisted cases like this, and I’ll miss this show when it ends. I guess they are setting up Barnes to depart the team at the end of the season.

I really enjoyed this episode. Figured that the husband was involved from the get-go but liked how the rest of the conspiracy turned out. Poor kid - such horrible parents.

I wonder if Sheryll's departure was written before or after the cancellation was announced? Nice to see her get her flowers as a team leader.

Waiting for the odd explanation as to why one of the Team is absent has become quite funny.

Oh, no, not Remy and Abby drama! /s

Also, I'm imagining to myself that Barnes is going into this interview like, "Well, Most Wanted got canceled, so I'm losing that job. Got anything for me here?" I *really* hope she gets the job and the season ends that way, with her leaving. And not the cliched "This is her last day on the field, so she gets killed."

S06•E19 — Starman

FansAllowed is obviously an OnlyFans parody site. 😆

The look on Hana, Nina, Ray and Sheryll’s faces when Remy blurts out “Sexy Alpha Driver” as his FansAllowed username. He doesn’t even need to think about it. 😂

Why don’t Sheryll and Hana tell the truth to Leah about her mom?

So Hana tells Leah to contact her if she wants her images removed from the Internet. WTF? That’s child pornography. Lazy writing.

Remy takes inspiration from the decor of other people’s bars. Good for him! The salmon-colored wall would be fugly.

Another twisted case this week, kind of convoluted and hard to follow but still entertaining. Two truly evil perps. I’m really going to miss this show and it’s dark and messed up cases, I’m so pissed that it’s been cancelled in favor of the shitty sounding cliched CIA spinoff which I won’t be watching.

OK, glad it wasn't just me who found it a bit hard to follow! Definitely twisted with some evil perps, like you said. I'll also miss this show.

Wild case but I would’ve liked more background on how the villains got into the organ trafficking business - it seemed like there was stuff missing from the backstory, who exactly was contacted about the organ in need? The alcoholic doctor or one of the goons at the gym? The case was intense but it seemed like more backstory was needed unless I missed something, I wasn’t sure how these random jackasses at the gym were tied to the surgeon or whose idea it was to abduct people and harvest organs? The episode could’ve been better than it was.

I’m going to miss this show, I like the dark and twisted cases, I guess Remy is considering leaving the bureau and might give Barnes the job as head of the MW team.

S06•E21 — Souls on ICE

The COTW is horrific.

The series finale is approaching, and they still get Nina excluded from this episode. 🙄

Errr Remy, there’s a reason why Sheryll doesn’t come to you regarding the new job offer. You weren’t really supportive of her in the early days. You’re all about Kristin, Kristin, Kristin. Amnesia much? 🙄

I am guessing Remy wants to talk to Isobel about his retirement. Hopefully Remy’s situation will NOT affect Sheryll’s move to DC.

Kristin was tough and attractive!  Great combo!

I was hoping Kristin would come back and take over as head of the task force but I forgot that it's a Dick Wolf show and the boxes have to be checked!

Good closure on this series.  Everyone got a nice ending to their personal stories and I liked Remy taking a few minutes to basically toast each member of his team in very specific ways.  I guess we’re supposed to presume that Nina stays with this task force so we won’t see her on the OG FBI which I’m sorry about — I like her a lot.  I will especially miss seeing Ray and his family — he’s my favorite.

The COTW was so-so and I didn’t buy the way Saquon went from a remorseful young man to a wound-up, vengeful young man against his aunt and the woman who had befriended him — that was too much of an escalation that didn’t seem to fit him.

The COTW seemed rushed and I wasn't sure what was going on.

Why did Remy seem to feel bad when he shot and killed  Saquon but didn't bat an eye when he shot and killed one of the other bad guys?  Both went for their guns!

I was kind of hoping Kristin would return end up taking over as head of TF.  Of course that wasn't going to happen.

It was time for the series to end.  It was obvious the stories were kind of leaning one direction.  I would predict the bad guys just by who they were.

Good night!

Very nice ending to the series - the case was complex as usual, pretty good investigation and manhunt, but most importantly it was a fitting conclusion to the show and gave each character a happy and satisfying ending, and the show ended with the whole team together in a nice scene. I liked this team a lot and I’ll miss them and I’ll miss the twisted dark cases of this show as well, but at least it had a very satisfying finish, a better series finale than International

What was the meaning of The Muster Room as a name for the restaurant?  Is that some FBI term?

Had the same question -- I kept saying "The Muster Room" and trying to come up with a why?  Will be curious to hear if anyone knows!  Maybe an inside secret, maybe a nod to someone in the series?

Answered my own question -- found this:

A “muster room” is a designated gathering point where people, such as employees or passengers on a ship, are required to assemble in the event of an emergency. It’s a location for roll calls and ensures everyone has a safe place to go and be accounted for during an evacuation.
Here’s a more detailed explanation:
• Purpose:
The primary purpose of a muster room is to provide a known, safe location for people to gather during an emergency, like a fire or evacuation.
• Location:
Muster rooms are typically located a safe distance from the building or area that needs to be evacuated.
• Roll Calls:
At the muster room, a headcount can be taken to ensure everyone has been accounted for, which helps emergency responders focus their efforts.
• Emergency Response:
The muster room helps facilitate a quick and efficient evacuation process, allowing for a more organized and effective response to the emergency.
• Examples:
Muster rooms are common on ships, in large buildings, and in workplaces where many people may need to evacuate.
In essence, a muster room is a critical part of an emergency plan, ensuring everyone knows where to go, how to get there, and how to be accounted for during an emergency.

I know it's just a TV show, but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth that they showed Sheryl as a bad mom in the final moments of the series. No real life parent would turn down an opportunity to live in the same city as their kids, with continued FBI employment maintaining her benefits and pension accrual, and a promotion to boot.

Oh great news -- Nina's sister is getting a divorce. Only a few weeks ago Scola was trying to help them stay together.  I wish they would have left Tink's mythical family intact.

It made no sense at all that the chaotic paintball driveby was actually a targeted hit against the young woman. It was only dumb luck that Saquon got her and she had not already hidden behind a car like the tech bros did. They had to wrap the case up fast, so didn't bother going after the buyer of the kill switch. I trust it happened off screen.

I will miss Hana. I hope Hana and Ethan and Milo live happily ever after. She is so smart, so practical. Her job might require her to run, so she wears tennis shoes even though she's short. So much more believable as an FBI agent than Nina, in her skin tight leather slacks and heels.

Good way to wrap it up, though I'll miss Hana, Nina, Sheryl, Ray--I guess everyone except Remy! I do wish the announcement had been about Sheryl taking the DC job though--maybe that Remy was going to retire, but heard she was doing that, so he decided to stay on another year, say.

The case, it felt like too much was going on. And the OG FBI one was so compelling, this sort of paled in comparison. Though the idea of the kill switch is  rather terrifying. I wish they'd gotten to that point sooner. Felt like they had to wrap it up too quickly. Also, couldn't the one guy have held off on his Adderall for a day or two until the deal was done? Or gotten some on the street, say? None of the criminals in this were very bright...

With Saquon's earlier statement that we, but not the FBI heard about not going back to jail it played like a suicide by cop when in the second shooting "Han didn't shoot first"

I objected when Dylan McDermott came on board but Remy started to grow on me, especially his awkward and anachronistic "tough guy" moments.   The show was about as serious as CSI: Miami but I liked watching it once a week.  Too bad it was canceled.  There's plenty of worse shit on TV these days.   I'll miss the stylish Nina Chase.   Hopefully they'll integrate her back into FBI.
