Kody cannot sell the lots that have Meri and Janelle's names on them. They are co owners. So they would have to sign off on the sale also.  Everyone is acting like Kody is in charge of selling the property on his own.

Kody says he was left holding the bag and he and Robyn don't know what to do. What is the big mystery? Sell the property and split the money. He is deliberately obfuscating the issue of selling the property so that he can keep Janelle and Meri in the dark.

I’m watching this episode thinking how much I like Jenn, how smart she is, and how lucky Meri is to have her as a friend, and then Kody says:

Ditch those bitches??? OMG this man!

I really can’t believe it.  I gasped out loud.  He is the biggest asshole, and he keeps getting worse.

Of course he doesn’t like Meri’s friends… they see through all of his bullshit.

Exactly.

Just exactly when did Kody ever fund  anything for Janelle? Janelle who drive a car with a broken window while Kody drove  a sports car.  Janelle who lived an apartment while Kody lived in a mansion.

I can't remember any time frankly!! Janelle just rolled with the flow as  long as she had enough for her and her kids.

Kody keeps acting like lawyers aren't necessary and the women are punishing him. He doesn't want any lawyers involved because he knows he can't get away with anything with them. He'd double talk Meri and Janelle until they just gave him what he wants to shut him up.  I'm glad they have both got lawyers!!

Janelle used the money from an inheritance to buy the Utah house and she cashed in her retirement to help with the move to Vegas.  I think she was generous with her money. Just what did Robyn do to help with the family finances? Did she ever have a job after marrying Kody?

She had the "oh so amazing" Sister Wive's Closet Jewelry co.  Biggest dud of all their schemes!

By the time the Browns moved to Las Vegas, I believe Paul and Alice were living in St. George, Utah (which is not far from Vegas). Robyn made some mention of her parents at the time (maybe when they were looking for property to buy).

I could not care less about Kody, Robyn, and the kids' picnic table rehab project. I would have been much more interested to see more from Meri and Janelle.

Kody doesn't need all the lots to have his "family experience/memories" at CP. Why can't they sell 2 of the lots so Janelle and Meri can have their money and be done with K&R forever??? I think Kody likes still having that bit of power over them.

He's not going to sell just to spite them!

I'm shocked Aurora hasn't been baptized before this.

Robyn said Aurora had been  baptized into the AUB church - I bet the Christian church doesn’t count it.

what? Aurora wants Kody to baptize her?  Um no. Kody isn’t a Christian minister.  He hasn’t  even joined the church himself.

Yeah, I'm not sure of what that business is about. Generally, even if you're in a tradition where someone stands up with you (like a godparent would for a baby, but for an older person being baptized), it's an already baptized Christian. It's possible the girls' church is less fussy, but I don't know if any of the churches I've been a part of would consider any Mormon baptism to fit the bill.

Oh good lord Aurora is laying it on thick about baptism and God. Now she wants Kody to baptize her.

I think it's probably a pretty big deal for Aurora, emotionally. My suspicion (just as I've watched) is that Aurora and Breanna had already had some sort of conversion experience (in their personal faith -- not necessarily through a church) to a non-LDS form of Christianity, before we saw the church shopping stuff.

At age 20 or whatever, getting baptized into a new faith, when your parents still feel something* for the faith in which they raised you might feel big. And if her new faith means a lot to her (which it seems to) then it would feel even bigger.

*Kody has talked about still having a basically LDS worldview. When the girls were church shopping, he hoped they would check out the mainstream LDS church.
