That's how they did things in those days. My mother had three under five too--my brother in 52, me in 54, my younger brother in 55. Pump the kids out in quick succession!

I think Lily is just now (or will be next ep) fully admitting there is a problem between her and Josh. She's been spending and spending on the house and on him, trying to fix it, thinking it will make things better. There's no fixing Josh unless he wants to! Ugh
