Late, but I love that Kristen called Gregory GG.  It was very endearing.  Loving seeing this other side of her.  She's so fun and funny.

He called her KK at one point, too!  Adorable.

"Sara-toga."  God, I love Sara Bradley.  Not in a weird way, just in a "wanna hang out and have cocktails and gab" way.  She was on the Pack Your Knives podcast last week and was of course delightful.

I cannot for the life of me remember a single thing about Joe Flamm, down to whether I liked him, from his season, but I thought he was fine here.  Except that he's one of the many people who pronounces mascarpone as "marscapone", something that bugs me in non-chefs and drives me absolutely bonkers in chefs.  "How old do you think I am?" in response to her asking if he'd ever worked for Wolfgang made me laugh.

I liked the shout-out to the importance of PA work to everyone else doing their jobs, as it's a wide variety of tasks, many of them not pleasant, for very little money (it's a job people take just to be part of production and try to make contacts).

I wouldn't eat the sweet pizza if you paid me, but I'd definitely try the spicy and sweet one.  I like a lot of seafood pizzas, and I've had one similar to the smoked salmon pizza, but smoked salmon is just okay to me, so that's how I felt about the pizza.

I enjoy Kristen's ranch love.  I don't dip pizza with toppings on it in ranch, but the only way I will eat any portion of crust that is bare is to dip it in ranch.

Same on the memory part. And "marscapone" from folks in the food biz is like restaurant people adding an 'n' to restaurateur. They presumably should know better.

I love the return of Jennings Louise, and the adoration of Eric's shiny beard.

While it would never constitute an entree in my diet, I would love that jerk cauliflower as a side dish.  Yum!

Another outtake that shows us Tom's sniff & sneer is still happening, we're just not seeing it in the main show for some reason.

This show is just so damn fun, for the interaction between Kristen and each week's guest, but also for how they just show all the behind-the-scenes stuff, like the magic refrigerator (no, that's not something that happens on TC, but on non-competition cooking shows like this, yes), the prepared pantry, etc.  Pulling back the curtain on the regular show, too; I doubt anyone remotely familiar with how TV/movies are made thought the laser beams were real in the regular episode, and here they just go ahead and confirm it -- yeah, they were all pretending.

Love Kristen slurping rum from the squeeze bottle.

In discussing the jersey swap, when Kristen said she thinks they can get her shirt on him and Joe responded with "Do you have cooking spray?" I cracked up.  Also at "I've worn socks bigger than this."

I'm one of the gallbladder-less people lucky enough to not need to eat any differently, but if I have something really fatty, that's the one time there are consequences.  That high hot dog would have me stuck to my toilet for half a day, I'm sure.  Neither one appealed to me, the high because I don't eat foie gras and the low because I never like crushed chips added to any sandwich, burger, hot dog, etc. rather than as a side.

That tank top is never going to be the same.

I *have* a gallbladder, and got a tummy ache just watching them make that "high" hot dog.  Bleurrrrrgh.

I enjoyed watching every Dish with Kish episode. (Sometimes it's more fun to watch than the related Top Chef episode.) I like that Kristen isn't afraid to look silly. I still remember the pickle episode because seeing her and Mei in pickle costumes made me lol. I also like that Kristen treats everyone with such warmth and respect. Seeing behind-the-scenes footage is also very interesting.

@tv echo, I'm still only a few episodes in, but I love Kristen and Mei Lin together.  Mei has to look very far up to see Kristen!  I would like to go back to that Massachusetts season (with Gregory G) and watch that Thanksgiving meal - apologies if I didn't recall it correctly, but Mei also killed it on Tournament of Champions.

I was watching a compilation of Fieri's DDD show because it was showing places here in L.A. One of the places they went to was Mei Lin's lunch place (basically, a chicken sandwich place), and Mei Lin came out to greet Guy wearing her Tournament of Champions belt over her chef whites. It was so cute and funny. It's sad she got a reputation for being dour on her TC season, because she's really quick-witted and a lot of fun!
