Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo

Recommended Posts

She wasn’t lifting so much as shoving and sliding. I didn’t see any super hard work that she was doing. The changing table suddenly appeared so she didn’t bring that in that we can see. Maybe he just wasn’t home and she wanted to tackle it? I’m not jumping to the conclusion that he’s a heartless SOB because she decorated the nursery.

It definitely needed more help though. I don’t like the wrinkly brown rug on the floor. A tip: outdoor rugs can be just as pretty and there are many options for colors and patterns. But the main thing is that they almost always lay flat and will not wrinkle. Very good for putting carpet on top of carpet. Plus they clean extreme easily. Any projectile vomiting that might go on (yeah my first baby was big on that) can be cleaned up in no time.

I also think some curtains would have warmed up the whole space. And maybe a chance to add a little more pattern, since everything was pretty dull in there. Maybe a buffalo check like she had on the blanket on the crib (yes, design is my passion and it makes me a little crazy to see people decorate and it’s not so great). Plus, I also really hate macramé.

Anyway, it looks like a very nice house. That’s a good size room for a nursery/guest bedroom. Plus they still have another room to be a guest bedroom. How big is that house? Do the girls share a room?

Wow, that’s some house! And it looks like it’s Tudor style, it’s beautiful. I prefer the old houses to the newer modern looks. Especially in LA, where everyone just wants glass everywhere. Do we know what they paid for it?

And by the way, she did end up changing out that blue lamp that she was so in love with. Ha.

So do I. Older houses have so more style and personality.

It also has a pool. I think they paid around $2M for it. No clue how much they were able to put down, but some loan institution thought they were worth the risk of a probably pretty hefty mortgage.

Glad to see a Z-list reality show "author" and a perpetual student/shoe collector can afford a $2M house with a pool.

Sorry, just bittercakes over here.

Oh for crap's sake, millions of women move around furniture, beds & things while very pregnant.  The nesting instinct and NEED to move that whatever to wherever we want it doesn't wait til a partner is home or it's convenient.  It happens when it happens.

I packed up to move an entire household across the country, by myself, very pregnant, while also wrangling a 3 year-old and 2 dogs.  Really, changing around a room is nothing.

We are not helpless and have not been abandoned by an uncaring partner!  It's just real life.

And I swear, that Jeremy tale about not wanting to take water to a pregnant Jinger is so overused, yet an actual link to the reference never shows up.  Jeremy as a demanding husband that makes Jinger miserable is a very popular trope here, but factual backup for it is sparse.  Just sayin'....

It's in their book in a chapter he wrote. If you search the forum, you can find when we were all talking about it. This isn't made up.

He wrote that in a book? That obviously must’ve been some sort of a look how bad I was moment. I’m sure he wasn’t bragging about it. Bizarre.

I watched their Q&A podcast. Not much new except the Jinger thinks she’s done with children. Jeremy said it’s always up to the wife. All I know is thank God she doesn’t have any ovulation calendar hanging up to make sure she doesn’t miss a chance.

I don't know. I think he might. All the stuff he does and posts of himself because he thinks he's cool. It wouldn't surprise me he put that in because he thought it made him look cool or funny or something.

Super boring nursery. The Vuolo jersey was cute, but I didn’t really get why there was that cow, and nothing else. The cow made it seem more like a western theme, but nothing else went with it. She could’ve done more of a soccer theme with some other pictures or stick ons. Or some color on the walls, or in the rug. It didn’t feel very baby at all. My kids were born in the days before you knew the sex, so I did yellow and then later green walls. If you don’t like different colored walls you could at least add color somewhere else. But they seem to really love it so to each their own, I guess. It seems that every Dugger girl sets up a household of all beige.

By the way, is the “ thank you” reaction on here supposed to be like a thank you for the information, or is it like “ thank you!” for pointing out something crazy? I mostly use it for the latter.

Jeremy at least has a personality, weird or not.  And he constantly praises his wife, no matter what motives outsiders attribute that to.  And he absolutely thinks he's Joe Cool.  Most 30-something guys do, nothing unusual there.

I don't own her first book, written with him, but I know the water reference is not in Jinger's becoming free book.  I do have that one and it's definitely not there.

But desperately searching down specific quotes and passages from different sources to shore up a personal bias or belief sounds SO IBLP!!

I don't swing that way, but evidentially some folks here do!  *LOL*

Whatever.  I don't like their religious beliefs at all, but I do find them fairly entertaining.

Desperately searching? The details aren’t hard to find.

I think "thank you" can mean either one.

I also thought the nursery was boring and cold looking. Why would she place an area rug over carpet? This is a trip hazard and IMO, not advisable in a baby's nursery.

Yeah, that house is awfully expensive for having all that carpeting. I believe their whole main area is also carpeted, and she put a black-and-white rug over it. That rug seems thick enough and big enough to not wrinkle. The nursery rug is flimsy and always wrinkling. As I said before, my tip is to get an outdoor rug if you have to have one. They have many beautiful colors and patterns and they lay flat on carpet. I actually have one on the carpet in my bedroom. It doesn’t budge and it’s a very pretty Moroccan looking rug.

Austin was totally self-righteous.

In the video, Austin did contrast himself now to his younger self, saying he was in a bubble then, and discussed that's he more flexible now when it comes to other people's beliefs, although presumably he was specifically talking about other forms of Christianity like J & J's beliefs, not people outside the Christian world.

I'm glad that Austin recognizes his problematic childhood. Good for him that he has become far less rigid, at least where religion is concerned. He was insufferable on Strictest Parents.

I watched it last night and it seemed kind of strangely disjointed. I don’t know, it just didn’t seem to flow right. I thought it would be better because they are friends. maybe I was in the wrong frame of mine.

Austin and Jeremy did mention that they have theological differences of opinion. I wonder what that’s all about?

He was also talking about praying and fasting. Trying to figure out if he should make a move on Joy. I suspect Jill R. has really talked her kids into that fasting thing to save money on food.
