I don’t care if Yve and Mohamed work out, but I think it’s terrible how Theran has gotten so attached to him already and won’t understand when his new playmate is suddenly out of his life when the inevitable break up occurs.

Wow, I thought Patrick was going to be the Douchebro of the season, but it appears Douchebro’s Bro will win the title.

Ari squints like a mole when she drives! And Bini made a good point, why is she  bringing him to a “town for rich people” when she’s so worried about finances?

She wanted to show him where she grew up, but then I think it started to hit her that she doesn't live like that anymore.

She does look like a mole!

Except the parents no longer have a house; they live in the same apartment complex.

It is so weird, Ari says (before they leave for the US) that her parents live in the same apartment complex.  Then when the parents are around, they all say "...and the HOUSE is five minutes away!"  Obviously the parents do not want people to know they lost the house, but Ari better tell her mom that she mentioned that they live in the apartments...

I thought it was interesting that while Ari wanted to show off her town so Bini could see it she did not park so he could walk around.

Maybe they could have found a park to take the kid to run around a bit and have a picnic lunch.

I guess Ari didn't have her nanny to make all the preparations for that sort of thing.

Parking in Princeton is not free. She probably couldn’t afford it.

I have heard a lot of people refer to apartment and condos as their houses when I think they should be saying homes.

It's not Miona's fault if her FIL-to-be pops a stiffy from looking at her haltertop, and Mahala blaming Miona comes off a little like slut-shaming.

You can't say she was slut-shaming the girlfriend, and at the same time reduce that male to a walking hard on!!

I'm way outside the loop when it comes to the shaming industry, but are people not even allowed to slut-shame in their own homes?

But the whole laundry scene looked 100% staged to me--a mostly empty laundry basket and one person handing another person one dirty item at a time, so...whatever.  Although I'm intrigued that she says the machines in Serbia have the temperature setting in actual degrees.  That's some precision laundering there.

She didn’t want to chance running into someone she grew up with and having to explain just how big a loser she has become.

You would think by now that “Annie” on the bed with the husband would know how to pronounce a word fully.  She would say a word like bed and it comes out be.  She leaves the last sound off.  She’s had time to know the words.

Putting this into spoiler only because it was something revealed in the closed captioning and not explicitly stated:

Spoiler

On the closed captioning they often include the person's full name the first time they speak in the episode.  This is the first time I've seen Miona's full name and it was Miona Bell, they also identify Jibri as Jibri Bell.  Just a screw up on the part of the CC, or are they actually married?

(Sorry, as always late in the game)

I am intrigued too; so America washings machines don't have temperature settings? I thought 'mums' was exaggerating and theirs didn't have it but...

I never saw a washing machine without a temperature setting. I have too mention that besides the temperatures there is a whole scale of different washing programs you can select (I assume that is the same in the USA). The temperature scale is normally devided as (Celsius) 30, 40, 60 and 90 degrees.  Sometimes  20 for a cold wash.

Always nice to learn something:)

The settings are for hot, warm, and cold.  They don't have actual temperatures, in degrees, associated with the hot, warm, and cold--just the word.

So unamerican (heh) machines have the temperature in degrees, instead of a word like "warm"?  That actually makes sense.  I was thinking Miona was saying you can set Serbian machines for 68-degree water, or 84-degree water, which seemed awfully precise.
