Once again Paddy puts in an awesome performance & the case side of the episode was probably the strongest all season. Paddy consistently pulls off his centric episodes & keeps you in there from start to finish.

Kim is a bitch to him. She didn't tell him about the change in dinner time, then was pissy because he didn't know, didn't think to text him and see why he was late, then doesn't want to talk, because 'she's tried'...spends the next half of the episode ringing random people to look after her recently kidnapped kid, texts him saying Mack is missing his scrambled eggs.... and then we get the ending....

Adam almost dies, tells her to tell Mack that he loves her & she's lucky she's got Kim as a Mom.... and then what does she do, tells him she was better off without him around. I am actually starting to think that Mack would be better off with Adam and not Kim tbh....What a cold hearted witch she is becoming. 

The wirters need to decide what they are doing with these two. I suspect they don't have the guts to end them because they know they are a fan fave and they need the viewers. But this constant beating of them, two people who are trying to do a good thing for a traumatised orphaned kid isn't realistic or enjoyable and hasn't been for a while.

So either end it, tell the audience and they can decide whether the other characters are interesting enough or quit with the trauma porn & at least let them be happy being 'co-parents' because not only are they refusing to let them be a couple, they are also refusing to show them as a 'modern family' either.

Sorry, I am over Burgess....the biggest, baddest, bestest ever!!!

The episode when she doubted Ruzak's innocence in a clean shoot and she went to his apartment after the team proved it was, and he closed the door in her face?  Yeah, loved it.

This constant on and off storyline with Kim and Adam is so stupid.  What I see is that Adam went out of his way to be a good "dad" and Kim just craps all over him.  I understand growing pains in a relationship, but this is just ridiculous.  The guy busted his ass to help her after she became a foster mom on her own, and he gets no credit.  

Kim and Adam have not been portrayed in a healthy way since they broke off their engagement in season 2 or 3, whichever it was.  Since then, most of their interactions were drunk one nighters.  They could never commit to anything more.  Then, when Adam tries to commit and get on board with Kim's parenting plan, she finds every reason to shut it down.  It does not seem like there is much love there.

Kim is insane. She is all bitchy when he shows up late for dinner and offers to heat up leftovers and then acts all hurt the next morning at work…”why didn’t you come back last night”? 
Why didn’t she just tell him she was on her way to pick up Makayla when he called about the meeting going down?

Any of them could of handled it. They were all there.

We’ve watched the last 4 episodes of her going on about how they are a little team and she’s the best parent and she can’t speak up about leaving a bit early to pick up her daughter? 

And Ruzek was supposed to be deep undercover and he brings his personal cellphone and police issued bulletproof vest to meet with the very paranoid baddie? So unbelievably dumb.

Oh how I wished it had been Adam who called off the relationship!  And for one brief moment, I thought he was going to do it.  But no, as said upthread, the writers deemed it better for Kim to kick him out and send him back to the depressing UC apartment right after he'd recovered from almost OD-ing.  Way to go, show.  RME.

I thought the same thing. He couldn't go crash on Atwater's couch?

Oh wait, that means the show will have to acknowledge that Atwater is still there, and give him screentime. They can't do that...

Come on now, Atwater has used up 90% of his allotted time this season. They need to save something for his token black v blue episode coming up.

It was ridiculous how little urgency or care anyone showed Ruzek when he OD'd. No one at the hospital to make sure he was okay, no one drove him home. Where was Trudy? Voight literally disappeared. Mr & Mrs Goodyear were as meandering as always. His best friend just couldn't be assed & then Kim basically tells him 'yeah we are better off without you.'.... I don't get why the writers seems to hate these characters so much. Burgess and Ruzek are basically the shows punching bags. 

Blondie can't cross the road without having a crisis and everyone faps over her....guy almost dies doing drugs to save a girls life..... nothing.

Cause Upton is the favorite of the show runner. I think Kim and Adam  possibly get beat on and aren't allowed to be happy cause JMO Marina and Patrick are better actors than Tracy and Jesse and are better with the drama but it's so goddamm annoying. I'm sick of Barfstead.

Just got the chance to watch this one the other day, and someone was talking over the part where Olivia said what Adam had done in high school that her dad helped him with...something about robbing a cafeteria?? I have no idea.

He robbed the school cafeteria to help a poor kid who was being bullied because he was turning up at school in the same clothes everyday, I assume to get him some food, although they didn't explain that. The implication was Adam always wanted to help people in trouble... hence he was helping Olivia because her Dad asked him for help.

This is another example of a potentially good episode that's oversaturated with relationship drama. The entire story of Adam finding his friend's daughter could have been good enough on its own, but they have to throw in the Burzek crap and Mackayla. It just detracts from the whole show.
