Well, it works for a nuclear attack, so I suppose it would also work for an airliner. Shout out to all of those old enough to remember, "duck and cover" drills in school.

We never really had that - but then I'm a military brat, so I think the adults knew it was nonsense.

They did say there wasn't time to evacuate. It wasn't that they thought it wouldn't be a good idea, just that the plane was about to hit in seconds.

And in a show of heroes they stayed at their post to the last second and tried to warn the plane off with visual light signals

This show never does anything small, does it?

And of course they have to go and kill off Sasha Roiz, because we can't have nice things.

I'm so annoyed that they killed Lou! I know that Sasha Roiz was just a recurring character, but I was hoping Athena would get a partner! Or to be honest I was just hoping to have more Sasha Roiz on my screen. LOL

Wow, so the first time you actually have a character die/in danger of actually dying and it sticking, it's with Athena's almost-partner?!?! No thanks, I would like to go back to this show NOT killing off recurring/main characters, thanks! A throat slice seems fairly definite, but we'll see. Maybe there's still hope?

I would too! And I'm especially annoyed that they killed Lou off.  And I'm not interested in the manhunt for creepy dude lasting all season.

The plane was supposedly heading for the tower, but there's no way to know if it would be a direct hit or how it would hit. A near miss or glancing blow could shatter the glass at the very least. Being under the desk might offer protection from falling debris.

Trying to evacuate could have caused injuries in and of itself, and even if they got out of the tower, they might not be clear of debris, jet fuel, etc.

Yeah, totally violated all known HIPPA violations I can think of

Not at all.  The Health Insurance Portability  and Accountability Act (HIPAA) does not apply here.

I'm recently retired 50 year medical field worker and thought with my free time, I would catch up on some shows.  I think I watched the first episode of the first season of this...uh....mess.  Now I remember why I deleted it from the queue.  No relation to reality and crappy actors.  That being said, I'll watch again just for the "campy" aspect.

What's up with giving compressions but no ventilation to someone who's been down eight minutes?

Flying in a transplant organ....I think I'll just pull it out of the ice and take a look...........LOL

I gave up on  The Resident for just this reason, but this is so stupid it's fun to watch with a glass of wine.

It may not be a direct HIPAA violation (as soon as I typed in I knew I got the acronym wrong) but I do find it sketchy that it's fine to say hello, since they are both first-responders and may have crossed paths before, but to say something 'how are you feeling' (don't remember the exact phrase)  in front of his colleague, enough to make him curious, seemed at least unprofessional.   Not that there is much privacy in an ER, to be fair.

Most health care workers I know don't acknowledge patients in public just for this reason, unless they make contact first.  Being a GP or pediatrician is one thing, but if you are an oncologist, infertility doctor, or psychiatrist, others in the patient's party may question how they would know someone.

Now bring me more giraffes wandering down Hollywood Blvd.  I want to see Buck riding one before this is all done damnit!

...I thought the same thing! Buck's gotta buck...though from having WATCHED all the zoo shows, I know that you can get a camel to kneel down by saying "kush, kush." I really wanted to see them go all "Three Wise Men" in LA.

Hello, my name is Irlandesa and I've watched too much TV in my lifetime because that ending?  Not a bit shocking to me.

I guessed that the lawyer was more of a fan of her client than she let on when she was fired.  And when his back was to the lawyer and putting the perp in the car, I knew that cop was going to get killed.

Plus Athena wasn't the one who caught him so I figured he was a goner.  LOL
