Johnny is the ONLY celeb I am interested in this season. Wish he were cast before this season. I'll be watching his dances on YouTube. As an avid viewer of this show, never missing an episode, I refuse to watch this show without Tom Bergeron.

Johnny is my number one pick for this season... he will definitely bring some liveliness and sparkle to the show 🙂 My second pick is Skaii... 🙂

I'm looking forward to watching Johnny Weir.  I think he will be an excellent ballroom dancer since he had some elegant routines.  I also think he will be sassy for Latin.  I'm sure he'll do better here than what he did in Masked Singer.

I agree he will be great in ballroom. I wonder how he would do with Latin? Most of his skating was artistic and graceful.

He is also funny. It will be nice to have someone who actually has a personality.

He posted a video of himself doing a piece of the cha-cha while vacuuming his temporary home.  He was moving pretty well.  His Instagram is great, for anyone who doesn't follow him.

I confess I am rather disappointed with Johnny's performances.

I understand how different the technique for dancing would be from the technique for skating,  I am not knowledgeable enough about dance technique to judge that.

But the choreography seemed to be lacking - not making the best use of his talent.   Do you think a different partner would have made a difference? Who could have lit him up and excited us?

Johnny was one of my favorite skaters, hope he does well.

Johnny should be one of the best, but he's dancing like he's wearing skates.  The dance moves are things he uses in skating.  He's focusing too much on costumes, I know he loves his "looks" and not enough on dancing.

I think that’s a common thought but really only Kristi, Meryl and Adam won. Evan, Charlie, Nancy and Mirai all got knocked out at various stages and Dorothy quit. (I’m not even counting Tonya.) Am I forgetting anybody?

I did think Johnny would be a bit better than he seems to be right now, it’s kind of like he’s not sure how to make his feet move gracefully on the floor or something and is too much in his head about it. I hope he gets over that.

Dorothy really was injured though. I remember watching a fan video of her trying to walk into the dance studio, and her foot collapsed with every step - total foot drop or whatever they call it. It looked freaky! Poor Tristan. At least he got a job judging DWTS Australia - two years now. Good for him.
