  1. I've been checking in on several of the HW shows. Wondering when Atlanta will be back. Wow, I'm surprised Kandi isn't coming back. She's been on a long time. I thought she was the OG of this show. Just read she was offered contract and declined. I'm glad Kenya is coming back as she is good TV.
  2. Does anyone know when the next UGT will air? The one that ended with the Brandy and Caroline drama?
  3. Is Shannon still upset about Alexis and John? Will Alexis be on the next season? I'm out of the loop on all this.
  4. I guess I will watch because I'm out of HW shows now, but I wish they would've let either Melissa or Teresa go. It doesn't seem productive to have them both on and filming separately. Melissa Gorga Talks Filming RHONJ Separately From Teresa (realityblurb.com)
  5. He is obnoxious. I just read he and Brittany are expecting another child. Aren't they divorcing? The poor kid is going to grow up with two screwed up parents.

  8. I tried. I only last 15 minutes. Too much for me. I think she handled herself well this episode, but not for the whole season. JMO though.
  9. It saddens me to say that I agree, because I experienced this growing up with a narcissistic mother. I never wanted to be in competition with my mother. I just wanted her to love me.
  10. I wondered about this too. It could be that either the ex doesn't want him to see his children or they don't want to see him. I don't know how old they are, but at a certain age they can choose. One of his comments implied that the children weren't interested in a relationship with him. When they kept showing Jax as "former SUR employee" I was reminded of how much this show has change now that no one works at the restaurant. I kind of agree with Jax (although I loathe him) that Lisa isn't really needed and is more of a prop. Or they should recast the show with younger people who are all working at the restaurant. I've never thought she was very attractive and over the years she has become less so to me. The breast implants, facial work and whatever else is going on. I'm surprised she and Jax got their own show. I find them both super annoying.
  11. She's a narcissist using her child as a prop. Her daughter is an extension of her vs. being her own being. I feel sad for Summer's future. It will only get worse.
  12. A big issue to me is that the Dickie character isn't nearly as compelling and charismatic as he was played by Jude Law in the movie. It was easier for me to understand why Ripley was so taken by him in the film, because Jude Law was intoxicating and really sexy. I don't get that sense from Johnny Flynn. He's attractive but kind of vanilla. He does give off the casual confidence of someone wealthy and privileged, so I'll give him that. But there isn't any chemistry between Dickie and Ripley as there was in the movie. Also, Dickie gets killed off too early, and then we're just left with Ripley. I don't think he's interesting enough alone to carry the show, at least not Andrew Scott's portrayal. However, Scott does do a good job of showing what a sociopath and/or psychopath Ripley is in his reactions to others, the forced laughter, feigned responses and expressions, etc. One thing I didn't like about the film was it was too long. I remember leaving thinking it should've been 30 minutes shorter. It dragged at the end. I've seen this a lot in movies. They could've been great if they had been edited. I've wondered if it's the director's ego.
  13. Thanks for the warning. I'm also surprised there aren't more comments. I just finished episode 5. I saw the movie long ago and don't remember if the details are the same, but it appears Ripley is getting sloppy.
  14. I heard another YouTuber say the same thing. She speculated it was due to the altercation that someone filmed and that it could've also been because Candiace's five-year contract was up and she wanted more money. Whatever the case, I do believe that most of them don't leave on their own even though they spin it that way. But I'm not sure what happened with Candiace, because at the Reunion she looked mentally checked out to me. I give Robyn some credit for being honest that she was fired. Too bad she couldn't also be honest about Juan's shenanigans, but perhaps that was too much for her.
  15. Yes. I think it would've been better if they hadn't married. It makes me think it was all just done for the publicity, and this does hurt the brand. A lot of people were drawn to what they thought was a genuine romance between seniors who had a "second chance at love" late in life. Their ages made it seem more serious to me, so I feel a little duped. I figured it wouldn't last when the stories about Gerry came out but I didn't think they'd divorce this quickly. Despite this, I would still like to see an older bachelor or bachelorette, but I'd prefer early 50s to 60s or 70s.
  16. I suspect it’s probably just Heather feeling competitive with other female celebrities in LA who are super thin. They start comparing themselves to each other and feel inferior if they aren’t the thinnest. It’s no surprise that a lot of women there have eating disorders. It’s likely the same reason her hair has gotten blonder and her face has taken on a more artificial look over the years that is consistent with how many of these women look. I see it in Tracy’s face too. That LV property is a hard sell. Even if someone is willing to spend the money and wait two years, they’re going to be living in a barren, undeveloped environment with nothing but construction for years as new houses are built.
  17. Interesting. I noticed they were very careful and didn’t seem to want to discuss it at all. Agree. It was disappointing that Candiace would not take accountability for how she goads people. She doesn’t deserve to be physically attacked, but that doesn’t mean it’s wise to verbally push someone when the person is enraged. She should’ve learned this during the Monique incident.
  18. I could tell watching this reunion that Candiace has already moved on. She was quiet most of the time unless she was addressed. She seems over these women and the HW experience. Sorry but not buying the Mia redemption edit at the end with Gordon. She was practically crowned Queen. I get it that Gordon was difficult to live with but Mia is no saint. Also not believing that she hasn’t been carrying on with the boyfriend for the entire marriage. I used to like watching Gizelle even though she’s shady. But after this season, I have found it harder to stomach her shenanigans. I’ve never gotten much out of Robyn. She is more of a blank slate to me or a yes-person for Gizelle. Not understanding why this show is so focused on Gizelle. I don’t see Wendy and Nneka reconciling. There is a lot of hostility between them. Yes and they apologize and then usually repeat the behavior later. So their apology would mean little to me.
  19. Just finished season. The next CEO drama seemed manufactured to me and, as Mauricio said, premature as he is clearly not ready to retire. I laughed when the brash woman who wants to take over (can’t remember her name) said this isn’t a company that relies on nepotism. Uh… really? Did she look around and see the three women there who are all Mauricio’s daughters? She may not want nepotism to be a factor, but she needs to step into reality because clearly it is. I like Farrah but the other two I could do without.
  20. It isn’t a great picture of her. I saw some others that were better.
  21. Agree. I remember being captivated by how beautiful the location was in the movie, the beautiful blue water and sky. It made me want to go to Italy. The black and white doesn’t give the sense of luxury and beauty to me. So far I’m not big on the casting of either of the leads but I’ll keep watching. Perhaps they’ll grow on me. I thought the same thing. I remember being mesmerized by Jude Law.
  22. Agree. I only mentioned it because Ray commented that she looked a lot less than triple 20.
  23. I believe this extra episode missed the mark. Soledad didn’t ask Drake about the girl he was texting. A lot of the other info. was already covered in the first four episodes. I can see why Dan Schneider may have supported teenaged Drake. Not necessarily because he was a good guy. Perhaps Dan was into underage girls not boys. ITA! No excuse for the mother in my mind. The father warned her.
  24. Why are the GEBs so intent on ruining Candiace and Chris' marriage? Why do they hate Candiace so much? I don't get it. Also, can anyone enlighten me on the colorism discussion on this episode? It sounded like a world salad to me. What were they trying to convey? Does Candiace really think Robyn and Gizelle are blameless or was she being PC? Shallow note. Whatever surgery Karen had did not make her look significantly younger to me. It could've been her hairstyle, but she looked about 60 to me. Good for 60 but still 60. It might have been that her makeup and/or the lighting was a little harsh?
  25. The big reveal about the separation and the People magazine story seemed fake to me. It seemed like the daughters already knew something was going on. I also think Maurice's words that there is nothing going on between Kyle and Morgan sounded hollow. The way he kept calling Kyle "honey" was weird given the obvious strain between them. What struck me were the comments from a few of the daughters that they don't talk about difficult subjects, that things are kept under the rug and the appearance is everyone is happy. This is a classic sign of growing up in a dysfunctional home. The mantra is "Don't talk, don't trust, don't feel." And the next part of that is you don't talk about the family business, not even within the family. I suspect Kyle grew up in this same environment during her childhood. Sadly, it is being repeated. Their big talk in which they were supposedly "open" sounded stilted to me. I hope this is because it was for the cameras and not that this is how awkward it is when the members of this family discuss sensitive subjects. When Kyle and Mauricio are talking, I can pick up on underlying tension and anger, especially from Kyle. It comes out in quips and asides, but there is an edge to it. Sometimes I get it from him, but it's mostly from her. I still think he cheated, Kyle caught him and this was the impetus for all her lifestyle changes: stopping drinking, losing weight, getting tattoos and hanging around Morgan Wade. Classic midlife crisis, female version. Not that far from a man getting a Corvette and a 25 year-old buxom blonde.
