  1. Jon faces a revolt. Guessing either Sansa asserting herself, and/or Littlefinger using the Vale army to support her. "Jaime learns from his mistakes" is the one that intrigues me. Like what is that supposed to mean?
  2. I think the love that Grey Worm and Missandei have for Dany is different though. They love her like a mother (Mhysa.) As far as I can remember neither has really had fan service sexy time with Dany in the show or expressed any want to either implicitly or explicitly. And obviously in the book Missandei is a child, so it's a purely maternal love between her and Dany. Tyrion wants to be with her, like Jorah before him. But (in the books at least) Tyrion is fairly shallow, he "loves" Shae and Sansa because they are young and beautiful, he rejects Penny because she is an ugly dwarf. It makes sense he would fall in "love" with Dany, the most beautiful woman in the world by most accounts.
  3. I'm guessing they probably just have a stop point planned out that'll give them the best cliffhanger effect for the season 7 finale, but that leaves more story to tell on the other side in season 8.
  4. Maybe they are counting the most recent one as two failed elections? 1) Loss on Super Tuesday on her path to becoming Veep 2) Loss/Tie as incumbent (failed to get 270 electoral votes) 3) Loss/Tie in the House tie breaker. (Technically it was James who lost to Montez in the Senate vote)
  5. Also when he didn't question her ordering pizza after pizza. If I didn't like somebody, and they kept making me go out there, and didn't tip me, I'd ask them why they kept ordering pizzas one at a time instead of just ordering them all at once. On another note, I think I preferred Ruth when she was "The Homewrecker" that seems like such a more epic name, she could've been GLOW's version of the Undertaker.

That disallowed goal is a black mark on the Stanley Cup Finals. That one's gonna go down in Nashville lore like Hull's foot in the crease for Buffalo or Gretzky's high stick for Toronto. They'll remember that forever. At least it happened in the second and not late in the third or in OT.
  7. Wow, the campaign to get Pitch renewed/picked up by another network went all out and flew a plane over the ATX Festival. Unfortunately, as I suspected Hulu just isn't interested in picking up a show that only has one season of mediocre ratings. They want access to an extensive back catalogue before they start making new episodes. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/tv-network-presidents-talk-netflix-cancellations-1012058

I wonder how many of those people are watching all the way through. I've watched parts of the first two games, but once Golden State pulls away into the 15-20 point range I usually check out and go do something else.
  9. There were other mascots before Mr. Met, but he's generally acknowledged as the first costumed mascot. The ones before him were just guys in unique outfits, but not full costumes, think 'Dancing Homer' from the Simpsons.

It is, and the Warriors shouldn't be knocked for doing it, and neither should the Cavs. They are both doing exactly what they are supposed to do, trying their hardest to win a championship while obeying the league's rules. I blame the league itself. It's their responsibility to foster a competitive sport, and they have been failing, for decades.

You can't blame either team for what they did. The fact is the NBAs rules on contracts and the cap make it possible to build a team like this that dominates all comers. If the NBA had a more tightly controlled cap, or if it was possible to pay players like LeBron, Durant and Curry a salary that more accurately represented their ability when compared to their fellow players this probably wouldn't happen.

They're undefeated up to this point, I'm sure they want to continue to go undefeated. The Warriors love making history, 16-0 is much more appealing then winning at home.

This isn't the same as last year. KD just makes the Warriors unfair. I mean the Warriors had 20 turnovers last night and they STILL won. And they didn't edge out a win in a white knuckle ride, they blew the Cavs away. I just don't see any way the Cavs can win this series after that game 2. Maybe they can steal a game in Cleveland if LeBron and Kyrie enter God Mode, but that game 2 was a good counter punch by the Cavs and the Warriors just absorbed it and ran them over. It really feels like the Warriors are going to sweep.

I don't know but they set a record for fewest shots in a win in the Finals. They actually doubled the record for fewest shots in a playoff game though. Back in the days of the New Jersey Trap the Devils once limited the Maple Leafs to 6 shots on net. The Leafs, unlike the Pens lost of course as Marty Brodeur earned a shut out for his 6 saves. Thank god we're past those days. The Devils were smothering but every game they played was torture to watch.

I know right? All I was thinking as the seconds ticked down on the Celts was thank god the first three rounds are over. I don't think I have ever seen a first 3 this noncompetitive and boring. Finally (pun intended) maybe we can see some basketball.
  16. Gotta wonder why the defense attorney even called the wife to the stand. He eviscerated Barba's case without having to call any witnesses. Barba had absolutely no evidence that linked these guys to the crime, excepting maybe that video from the deli, which is hardly a strong piece. The state clearly failed to meet their burden of proof, and he probably could've gotten the case dismissed immediately.
  17. I don't think it was that stupid. Oswald does know Ed fairly well. And the one thing the Riddler/Ed always does is play by the rules. It's one of the central tenets of his character. He might make the rules impossibly skewed in his favor, but once set he always abides by them. Once he agreed to the truce and the 6 hour "No Murder" window, Oswald could feel secure in trusting him.

Props to the Celts. They stepped up, without their best player and broke the Cavs undefeated streak. Also it's nice to see them earn another home date, hopefully they can put up a fight in Game 4 and more importantly in Game 5 in Boston.
  19. She hasn't, but it's possible to get pregnant even if she had sex before IUD removal as long as she ovulates after. Sperm can survive in the uterus for up to 5 days. So the timeline would go something like this Day 0: Nora and Kevin have sex at the airport. Day 1: Flight and arrival in Australia Day 2: Nora goes to meet the physicists and is told she must have her IUD removed. Day 3: Nora has her IUD removed. Day 4-5: Nora ovulates and the sperm from the airport sex impregnate her.
  20. It was obviously Fox, but a different division of Fox. The show was cancelled by the network (Fox Broadcasting Company), who almost certainly couldn't justify keeping it on the air due to lack luster ratings and a near non-existent overseas appeal. The show, however, was also produced and distributed by Fox (20th Century Fox Television) These guys are probably the ones who wanted to save the show and sought out alternative networks or streaming services to pick it up.
  21. I'm honestly not surprised that Fox tried their best to save the show. I remember when Fringe wasn't getting great ratings, but Fox brought it back year after year, and then even gave it a shortened farewell season when they couldn't justify keeping it on the air for another whole season.

Dray's gotta stop throwing those stones. He's gonna break his glass house. Nobody who has a video game about playing basketball and kicking guys based around him should be calling out other players as dirty.
  23. Call me crazy, but I was not a huge fan of the Selina (probable) resurrection scene. I usually like it when Gotham pays homage to Batman lore, but this was pretty much just lifting the scene as is from Batman Returns. She gets defenestrated, lands in an alley, in the same contorted manner and the cats come to save/eat her. Whenever Gotham did a reference from a movie or comic before it felt like an homage, this feels like stealing one of Tim Burton's ideas. Maybe I'm overreacting, but it felt wrong to me.
  24. It pretty much is. I hate to sound defeatist, but I don't see another network taking a chance on Pitch. Most shows that get "uncancelled" have an original run of at least a few seasons before the original network pulls the plug, and then a streaming service or another network might take a chance on it due to getting it's entire back catalogue in addition to any new episodes produced, and the production house is willing to make more episodes (and even maybe grease the wheels of the distributor) in order to try to get it to syndication (usually 88-100 episodes, which is an easier task when there's already 3 seasons and 60-70 episodes.) Pitch unfortunately doesn't fall into this kind of category. I think the only show I remember that got a resurrection after one season with poor ratings was Jericho and even then it only got 7 more episodes before getting the plug pulled again.
