  1. Ugh, I am glad I am not the only one who was disturbed by the blonde mommy friend. Now I assume that it was her sister driving and maybe her sister demanded they leave when they did (since sis had to work at 6 am) but ya, to blow off your friend when she calls for a ride after you have ditched her? I also thought it was odd that at 30, she was hanging around with 22 year olds. Seems like she was trying to relive her early 20s, or maybe with 4 kids she was already a mother by that age. Was she married? When she talked about putting her kids to bed and then going out driving around looking for Chelsea, I wondering if she was leaving her kids home alone. She certainly seemed like the type that would.
  2. While I like Chris's personality, I don't find him all that attractive. Mind you I don't like blonds. but also find his eyes are too close together and I find that distracting. I know that isn't something that he can change so my comment is a bit shallow, but I just don't find it believable that every single woman there thinks he is gorgeous. Mind you I guess they have to play the game regardless. I haven't watched a lot of the Bachelor/Bachelor seasons (either Canadian or American) but I don't recall so much talk previously about the women cooking for themselves. Do they always? Do the men cook for themselves? I think I just assumed that someone was hired to cook. Doesn't seem like much of a holiday to me (though I know they are there to find a mate) and the last thing I would be doing is cooking for a bunch of women. Heck, I don't even cook for my husband - I hate cooking and he finds it relaxing so he does the cooking. (Sorry Shanti, some men are evolved enough not to expect their wife/partner to cook just because she has a vagina). I was impressed with Chris last week when he saw through Shanti and sent her home. I always wondered if the producers kept the crazy ones around for the entertainment value, and was pleasantly surprised to see that wasn't the case here. But I guess there wasn't room for Shanti and Brittany, and B is much more subtle where dealing directly with Chris is concerned. So far she has him snowed.
  3. Didn't Barney say that the tox screen on Scott didn't show the date rape drug as it did on the hooker? Which is when Michael said there are drugs that could have knocked Scott out but not been detectable the next day? What I am wondering is I am sure they tested for alcohol which if Scott was as drunk as Archie said should have shown up to some degree still the next day. But Scott wasn't drunk which the screen would/should have shown. Ugh.
  4. Of all the couples on Y&R in recent memory, none have less chemistry that Abby and Archie. Poor MO, she deserves a sympathy Emmy just for having to play opposite Archie in love scenes. It's nauseating. So Lauren thinks Scott should dump Sharon, and find a nice girl. Like her BFF Pathetic Phyllis? Even Sharon on her worst day has more self respect for herself than Phyll does. How long until she comes back to Billy? Ugh. So Barney Fife is taking the word of Zach, who he doesn't know from a hole in the ground over Scott, who he has known all his life? Wouldn't want to do some actual investigative work, like find out who booked and paid for the room at the motel. Any cameras in the area showing Scott arriving at the motel? Good on Scott for figuring out that Zach is involved so soon, though I would imagine their might be a kidnapping in his future as things can't get resolved this quickly. Victor is going to want to fire his PI when he finds out that the guy who has been boinking his daughter is a pimp and killer.
  5. I thought this was one of the best DD episodes in awhile. Though I will admit that I had no idea what the hockey gear kids were really selling, and what problem it solved. The one dud to me was the pillowcase. If you don't want acne caused by a dirty pillow, wash your face properly before you go to bed. It seemed like a product to me that was in search of a problem. And if the problem is you wash your sheets once a week and need a new pillow case after three days, simply turn over the one you are using and use the previously unused side. Problem solved. Well that, and properly washing your face. Duh.
  6. I haven't seen today's episode, but am wondering if the preview of Dina telling Graham that she remembers everything is a red herring. In that she has memory loss, and totally forgets the latest news regarding Graham - and still thinks he is her champion.
  7. You would think that religious people would not watch soaps in the first place, given most of the main characters have multiple marriages, divorces, cheat at some point (or many points), engage in paternity roulette, just to name few story line staples of soaps. I think though if they were going to do away with the lesbian story line they would just drop it as if it had never existed, rather than still have Mariah and Tessa pussy footing around each other and the subject. And those two have far and away the most chemistry of any two people on Y&R so if TPTB wanted to ditch the story line they need to ditch Tessa. I am actually glad that Nick and Victor seem to have buried the hatchet - for awhile at least. That story line has been done to death. And Nick giving money to orphanages was a nice touch. I loved Nicki telling Gloria to go for it where Victor is concerned. I really wish she would. And also don't think Nikki would actually be OK with Gloria moving to the Newman ranch. But I would love it.
  8. Ha, I love this because when Peggy was trying to put Dickhead in her suitcase and I could think was that he looked like one of Santa's elves. He really is a tiny little man - physically, emotionally.....pretty much in any and every way. Why could Meghan not have had the psychic that said that Brooks did not have cancer? Then he could have told Peggy to her face that she never had cancer, and therefore never had to worry about going through chemo. For someone who thinks Shannon is emotional, she is OTT about something that never actually happened. Maybe she needs an Armenian doctor to explain her test results to her. I really wish Bravo had sliced in the scene of Dickhead bringing up Peggy's cancer to David, when Peggy claimed that David is the one who brought it up. I love thought how Shannon shut Peggy down by turning the tables on her. And what was with Lydiot freaking out in the previews? Has karma come back to bite the shit stirring whisperer? I don't know if this is a spoiler but
  9. Hmmmm, I don't follow baseball (other than the Blue Jays when they make it past the regular season) so had to google this. Hmm, steroids, eh? Any other forms of cheating? (Not that that isn't enough). Well that explains why he is with J-Lo, who I have always thought is way overrated. At pretty much everything.
  10. Now this has me laughing. When Mark handed Lori the samples she said "This is me?". Now I know sometimes Mark gets different samples that are gluten free, but I don't remember this pitcher telling Mark that he had a special tray, so I thought that was funny. I would love it if the producers rotated who sat to Lori's left (from where she is sitting) and see who she might ask to hand her the samples. I would especially love to see her ask Bethenny Frankel. Lol. (And this is coming from someone who generally doesn't mind Lori).
  11. I didn't know that so googled it. Lori tweeted last fall "Did you guys notice that Robert always hands me my samples before he takes his own? So nice! Chivalry isn't dead.". Robert's reason for doing this (besides the fact that he is a nice guy) is that because Lori is "little" so she "can't reach". Nothing to do with a mobility issue. Mark did not look thrilled to be asked by Lori to hand her the hummus samples, and for the other segments Lori already had them in her hand before she was shown on camera, so not sure if Mark continued to be her assistant, or she took the others from the pitchers directly. I wonder if Barbara was beside her if she would ask her to hand her the samples? Lol. So glad it wasn't just me who was annoyed by the Gronk brothers. I am also surprised that someone like Mark would not know that there are already similar products available. Edited to add - it was Robert who said that he hands Lori the samples because she is little and can't reach. From the way I wrote it above, it may have looked like Lori said that.
  12. Really? Because she actually reached farther and in an upward motion (since Mark was standing over her) to accept the hummus sample tray than she would have had to if she had just accepted it directly from the hummus lady. She also asked Mark to hand her the tray, whereas if she had a medical problem one would think all the sharks would know about it and automatically hand her the samples. It has been speculated in other seasons that her dress was short so she did not want to have to move too far. However I didn't notice the length of what she was wearing, I was too busy wondering if she bought her outfit at a Michael Jackson estate sale. (I see another poster thought Prince). I really liked the hummus lady and am glad she got a deal. Since I love chick peas, hummus and have a sweet tooth, I would definitely try her product.
  13. I was referring to - was it the father? - who seemed to say his son had a million dollar income. (I could be wrong as I did fall asleep). That is when hubby and I laughed as several houses, dozens of cars, etc. did not come from a million dollar income. Wasn't it after that that Dateline talked about the medicaid fraud? And that he was billing for seeing two people at the same time, etc.? Which was my point - his income was obviously (quite a bit) more than a million dollars, and quite likely was not from legitimate means.
  14. I fell asleep during the episode on the podiatrist and his wife, so may have missed some important info. But agree with others who have posted as to how unlikable they both were. I kept wondering about the footage that Dateline continued to show of the two of them. Most of it appeared to be taken in Las Vegas. But who was taking it, and why? Did they have someone follow them with a camera to make it appear that they were being followed by paparazzi - as if they were famous? Very bizarre. And yes, Dateline was OTT as to how beautiful she was. Without all the make up and ridiculous clothes, I doubt she would get a second look. In the mug shot they showed, she looked like any other person usually looks in a mug shot. Ordinary to sub par. Hubby and I both laughed when (I think it was his father?) bragged about Adam's million dollar income. It was obvious that a million dollar income would not pay for his lifestyle, and he was getting his money from less than legit means. I think he likely did kill his wife (who else would have a motive?) but not sure that I could have convicted him. (Unless Dateline left a lot out of the story, which they often do). OTOH I am not at all sad that he was convicted.
  15. Last night on a Canadian station. I have it set up on my PVR on that station so didn't notice that it wasn't also airing on the ABC station. How odd.
  16. I don't know who the Gronkowskis are, but I found them annoying. And wayyy too much testosterone, chest bumping and grunting for my taste. (Which is obviously the opposite of Barbara's). I also find it hard to believe that with the gazillion insulated sports bottles on the market, that theirs is unique. OTOH, I did like the Sole Mender, and its inventor. Barbara didn't like it because it wasn't sexy? What an idiot. As someone who has suffered from plantar fasciitis for years, and has used frozen water bottles with varying degrees of success and comfort, I will likely order a Sole Mender. I checked out their website and was impressed that they will actually ship to Canada. I thought the excuse that most sharks gave for not investing - that they wanted the kid to go to college - was dumb. Many inventors become successful while in college completing degrees. I hope the young man does well with this product. The lock guy was so sweet. I normally don't like criers of either sex, but I found his story quite touching. I also loved that he went with his gut, rather than the obvious choice of Rodriguez. I was amused that Mark was tasked with giving Lori whatever product was being handed out, since he was sitting beside her. I always thought that Robert did it because he is a gentleman, but it appears that Lori expects to be catered to. Not sure why she can't pick up whatever is being handed out on her own.
  17. I love this show, and it just keeps getting better. It is so well cast, and the writing is really sharp and clever. Oddly enough, the new comedy that I was looking forward to this season, 9JKL, is so bad that I have removed it from my PVR. I really hope this show is picked up for another season as there are so few original, funny comedies these days. And the comedies that have been around for a few seasons (or in some cases way too many) are generally stale. I love the Justin character too, at any age. They could have made him a stereotypical annoying step brother but he is written and played just right, and totally believable. As are all the characters, IMO.
  18. This show is so bad, I have taken it off my PVR. What a disappointment, given the cast. But as others have said, the writing is just soooo bad. Oddly enough, the other new comedy that I wasn't sure I would like - Me, Myself and I - I absolutely love. Well written and well acted. I really hope it survives, and this one is cancelled. Bad writing should never be rewarded, though we know it is given other terrible shows that survive to live another day.
  19. Zoey reminds me so much of myself when I was a kid - loved animals more than people. (Still do). When I was 9 I was visiting my aunt who also had a newborn grandson visiting. My aunt said to me "isn't he cute" as I was walking by. I stopped, looked, and said "I would rather have a cat". At 60 years of age now, I would still rather have a cat. Lol. That said, I think Will and particularly Zoey are adorable. I was glad that Bill clarified their ages as 4 and 6 at the taping of those scenes, as I think some were filmed quite awhile ago. According to google, Will turned 7 this past Feb. and Zoey turned 6 a couple of weeks ago so I guess the upcoming episode was from a year ago when Zoey turned 5.
  20. I also wondered why someone who had "flu like symptoms"for several days but also apparently had poor health due to alcohol abuse would not have gone to a doctor to make sure there was not an underlying problem that needed medical attention. Or a loving husband would not have insisted that a sick spouse get checked out.......
  21. No, Cory wasn't legally drunk. (.08 here as well). I think the testimony was to show how recently she drank before she died, and the prosecution was likely pointing to her drinking the night before, rather than as early as 7:45 in the morning. I suppose that is possible that she did, but you would think if she was getting up with the kids and feeling so ill that Curtis had to help her back to bed she would not have been drinking alcohol. But I guess the defense could counter than as an alcoholic, it wasn't unusual?
  22. Ooopppsss!! Sorry - typo. Was .045. It wasn't on the show but in info I googled from the trial. But .045 not .45. Sorry again and thanks for catching - will go back and correct.
  23. Wondered all of the above as well, especially the last point. Or did Jane have a key and just give it to the assistant to use? And why would Jane have a key, considering that she and the ex aren't exactly friendly? Also when Jane set off the car alarm to distract the cops guarding her home, why did they both leave their post, leaving the front of the house then unguarded? And was Jane gone all night before they realized it? So many questions, but I care so little about the answers because I care zilch about Jane. As I stated in the last episode, chances are whoever the kid is with, is an upgrade. Judging from the video, it seems likely.
  24. I thought this was a possibility also. Or that she was sedated, making it easier to smother her. I still think he did it. A few things I read: A neighbour (who I think they showed) testified that they were arguing the night before, even though Curtis said they were not. Another neighbour testified that he was walking his dog at 6 or 6:30 am (can't remember which) and that he could see Curtis pacing back in forth in the bedroom. He though it was so odd that he stopped and watched. Also Cory had a blood alcohol level of .045, but none was in her eye fluid, indicating that she died within half an hour of her last drink. (According to testimony). I still don't get the EMT's testimony. Curtis left at 8:15 am, was home at 8:40 and didn't check on Cory until 9:05. The EMTs arrived at 9:23. so even if Cory died right when Curtis left, the EMTs were there within just over an hour. At the very most. Even if the EMT moved her arms, rigor should not have set in as yet, so they would not have stayed mid air. I remember from when this was discussed when the first trial happened, and there was also a missing pillow. This was never brought up in this epi but I distinctly remember it from the first time it was discussed. You can also see on the bed that there is a pillow with a plaid case on it, but not a matching one. Not to say that it wasn't on the floor, but I do remember a missing pillow that was never accounted for. I think Curtis did kill Cory. I also think his daughter knows it, and that is why they are estranged still to this day. I think she gave the "I don't remember" testimony to protect her brothers.
  25. Fourteen episodes in, and Peggy and Dicko are still claiming that Peggy had cancer, despite Bravo showing a clip in epi 12 of Peggy's doctor saying that the cells were precancerous. Now I have had both a relative and best friend have precancerous cells. Yes, it is scary. Thankfully neither's cells turned cancerous. I have also had friends and relatives who have had breast cancer, including my own mother who had it twice, two different types. So I am sick and tired of Peggy and Dicko making their storyline that Peggy had cancer, and now these Howives are being mean and questioning her about it. You have to be really hard up for money to continue to make a cancer storyline front and centre, especially when it isn't even true. We saw it with Brooks when it really was a scam. I don't know what Peggy and Dicko's angle is other than they apparently need to continue to claim it to have a storyline. But it is becoming offensive. (As if these two are not offensive enough, just in general). Go away. And take your fake presents with you.
