I like Zach and Tori, and am thrilled that they now have Murphy, both for Jackson and for me as a viewer. What a cutie! What I don't understand is why their realtor didn't insist that they clean out that garage! It just screams "This house has no storage, and this is what your garage will look like too". All that junk, had they insisted on keeping it, could have been tossed into a storage unit. In addition, I can't believe that at least one of them didn't realize how a garage looking like a home where junk goes to die, would look. I had to laugh at Matt complaining about Amy painting her cabinets white, when he painted his a horrendous yellow and orange combo. How did Amy stay married to this bozo for as long as she did? She really should thank Caryn for taking him off her hands. -

I thought that Dale liked Scott early on, when she thought he would be "the one" (or at least his bank account) to give Dale Tinsley the life she deserves. When he did not jump at the chance to marry Tins and/or fertilize her children-to-be, I think she became less fond of him. I actually didn't mind seeing Mario again, even if it was a set up by production. He is certainly much easier on the eyes than any of the other guys of the same age that the howives socialize with. I was really hoping the editing monkeys had shown this pic of Mario, Ramona and Sonja. Mario looks much more into Sonja than Ro, complete with his hand on Sonja's butt. Like some others here, I have always thought that at least in the last year or two Ramona and Mario were married, there was something going on with Son and Mario. -
I felt sorry for Aaron when he was trying to comfort Denise regarding how she has raised her daughters, and she countered with "You're not a parent". No Denise, he is a step parent. Which, if you do it right (and he appears to be) takes a hell of a lot more commitment than being a sperm (or even egg) donor. You take on someone else's children which is no easy task. I think Denise is a good mother, but I have no idea how good of a dad Charlie is/has been, even without his addiction issues. She is lucky that Aaron is willing to take on not only her children (including one with special needs), but an ex who is a challenge. Again, not an easy thing to do (and I speak from experience). It is a good thing she stayed home and didn't go to the Boy George performance, because I would have given her the side eye, leaving her kids yet again with Not a Parent Aaron.

Waayyy too many kids on that episode. Portia is not cute, either in looks or personality. Ditto Jagger. I did laugh at the look Portia's friend gave Dorito and Kyle when they tried to dump Dorito's kids on her and Portia. That didn't appear to last long, not surprisingly. Does Jagger often go around peeing in other people's yards? Or his own for that matter? Guess there was no nanny handy to take him to the bathroom. I was wondering as he peed on Kyle's grass if kids' urine burns grass like dog urine can? Thankfully I have never had a kid urinate on my grass to find out. Similarly I was annoyed at Teddi's kid having a meltdown on camera. Not at the kid per se, but that fact that he was even on camera. With both her nanny and hubby there, there was no reason for the kid to be anywhere within sight of the cameras or howives. Not entertaining, in the least. Speaking of not entertaining, LVP said a few weeks ago on ET that she stopped filming with the ladies half way through the season. Aren't we past that mark now? Why is she still on my TV? Talk about the long goodbye........

The link posted above by biakbiak had some interesting info that I don't remember being on Dateline. Besides having her husband's DNA under her fingernails (which I think was on Dateline) April also had several bruises. If Madison did it, why would he have left April alive when she could ID him as the shooter? She didn't die until the following day. Michael had narcotics in his system when he died. Since he was called home from work because of the party, it appears like he was taking drugs while at work. (Doesn't say where he worked at that time, but still.....sounds like he was out of control to be doing narcotics while working). Michael was ambidextrous so he could have used his left hand to shoot himself. I am ambidextrous as well so that seems plausible to me. The police definitely seemed fixated on Madison being the killer, despite evidence to the contrary. They certainly ignored his repeated requests for a polygraph. I also think the fact that his story never changed points to his innocence. How many times do we see the guilty change their stories several times? If Madison was lying, he had minutes to come up with a story and stick to it. I give credit to the DA in the link for saying the evidence pointed more towards Madison's story being the truth, than it did to him murdering his parents.

While I did not like Madison for all the reasons posters have stated, I would not have been able to convict him if I was on a jury. Besides the handcuffs, no blood on him, the father's abusiveness and threats, and that it was shown that the father could have shot himself in the back of the head, I am not surprised that the case was dropped. The one thing I was shocked at was that his uncle was allowed in the room when he was being questioned. It wasn't like he was there on Madison's behalf (and Madison said himself that he barely knew him). It appeared he was there in the role of a police officer, and IMO was totally inappropriate and he should not have been allowed in the room.

Love It Or List It - General Discussion

So, did anyone watch the Kelowna show featuring Charmaine and Cam? The problem (or advantage for the viewer?) of having a show in a relatively small city like Kelowna, is that you can often identify the neighbourhood. For those who know Kelowna, their house is on Lake Ave, and the house they wanted to move to is on Abbott Street. According to B.C. Assessment as of late last year though, neither home has been sold in the last three years. So either they changed their minds, or maybe the Abbott house never was for sale? There was no sale sign on it when Todd showed it (that I saw), and googling the address does not show that it had been for sale. (Usually the address will come up as having been for sale, but no longer current either because it sold or was taken off the market). It is listed though online as a seasonal B&B which was interesting. I am spending way too much time investigating properties on the Kelowna version of this show - lol. -

Zach said that at that point they had had something like 20 open houses. I am not sure if he was exaggerating the number, but it is possible that not even many people have bothered to come to the open houses which to me would point to the house being listed too high for what it has/where it is. From what I recall, the back yard is small because much of it is on a steep hill - not sure what you can do to fix that. So they could put money into fixing up what there is with some nicer landscaping, etc but it would still be a small mostly unusable back yard it seems. -

Matt is so predictable. For years he has whined about Amy having the big house, while he is stuck in the DW. Now that Amy is interested in switching, nope. He likes the size of the DW as it is easy to keep up. It was a given that after berating Amy for months (years?) for not saying what she wants, once she comes up with a plan, he would shoot it down. Amy is a saint for having put up with him for as long as she did. I guess in a way, Amy should thank Caryn for taking Matt off her hands. (Which is exactly what my sister's ex's long time girlfriend said - that my sis should thank her for having taken him off her hands - lol). It made no sense to me (or to Tori by the looks of things) that Zach wanted to sink money into the back yard of the house, but was totally against reducing the price. Seems to me the simplest thing would be to reduce, as you are effectively reducing anyway if you are now spending more money to get the price you want. SMH. -
S11.E07: It's Kind of a Phone-y Story
UsernameFatigue replied to OnceSane's topic in The Real Housewives Of New York City
I think the blog is written from Tins's POV at the time the episode was filmed. I don't think they are together presently, though with their track record who knows what the future might hold. I just think they want different things out of the relationship, and don't see that changing so I hope Tins has truly moved on. I was really wondering when Tins was telling Lu how she felt about her dad while growing up, if Lu wonders if that is how her children feel about her? Not only with regards to her drinking, but I also think Lu was of the mind that it was up to the help to raise her kids. Though it likely didn't enter her head. In my experience with narcissists, they are spectacularly unaware of their narcissism. -

I have posted previously about a relationship that I had that was in some ways similar to the one Beth had with Dennis. My boyfriend also died. So I actually understand the feelings that Beth has had, and how they sometimes change from day to day. -

Not sure what your point is - I was replying to a poster who asked why Beth was dating someone else if she was engaged. I was pointing out that she was dating the guy that was at her place, the year before. Whether Beth said yes, no, maybe, is really none of my concern or interest. I know many people who are in complicated relationships, and very few are in ones that are strictly black and white. Add in that I do believe Beth and Dennis were very close friends even when they were not together, and it adds another level of complication. -

This episode was filmed in the fall of 2018. Dennis died in August 2018, and he and Beth got engaged a few months before that. When Beth said she dated Russ (I think his name was) last year, I assumed that would have been 2017. She and Dennis dated for a few years, on and off. Regarding signs from a deceased loved one, I got several from my mom after she passed as did other family members. No, I can't prove that they were from her, but no one else can prove they weren't. So I choose to believe. I have several friends who have had similar experiences with loved ones who have passed. I don't blame Tinsley for not phoning Scott. I actually felt sorry for John, and wonder how he felt if he watched this epi, knowing he was the butt of a joke by the howives. That said, it is obvious that Scott and Tins are not a good match. No relationship should be that hard. If if is, you are with the wrong person. It was so jarring seeing Carole in a clip from a past season. It seems like ages ago that she was on the show. I don't miss her a bit, and it doesn't look like any of the howives do either. This franchise is such a breath of fresh air, after the staleness that has permeated BH. -
S10.E05: We're Back & Divorced

I wish they had shown the kids being brought into the rooms, too. I bet, as another poster has said, those pictures get painted over. And hopefully replaced with some of the homeowners own work. -

The woman actually told Doug that she was happy he was the designer on her ex's room, and she hated the yellow room he designed for them the first go round. I actually forgot that this show had returned, so this is the first episode I have watched. I hated Hildi's design, and really really hated the pictures. It would have looked much better to only have a select few pictures, and as another poster pointed out, why not use some of the homeowner's own pictures? A friend of ours went to Africa and took amazing photographs that he blew up and framed for their family room. They are stunning. Hildi's? Not so much. I wondered whether Hildi and Doug's design sense had evolved much over the last couple of decades. Apparently not. -

Richard had two children from his first marriage. HIs daughter was 22 when he died, not sure if the son was older or younger. I presume though that Dorinda and Richard had Bluestone Manor for several years before he died, so the room could very well have been decorated for his son. -

Luann really has become insufferable (or returned to being insufferable - take your pick). Having a cabaret show where she is a star (lol) really seems to have gone to her head. I was wondering how the show was doing and googled it. I was shocked to see that she will be playing at the Mirage in Las Vegas on May 4th. Can you imagine how unbearable she will be when she announces that (and you know she will) on a future episode? Just out of interest I googled tickets to see how many seats have sold, seeing as how it is only a little over three weeks away. Two thirds to three quarters of the seats are still available - lol. Guess they will be selling at the half price booths on the day of. -

I just watched the first episode of the Kelowna shows, and enjoyed it as well. I love trying to figure out where the home owners live (looked to be past Sunset Ranch golf course), and where the homes they are viewing are. I really liked the redo (especially the kitchen cabinet colour!) and like that Jillian usually puts colour in her renos, rather than white on white on white which seems to be so popular these days. I found the Kong's reno to be too white and bland for my taste, but I think that may have been Mrs. Kong's preference. I forgot to add in my last post Shok, good luck in your upcoming appointment! I always love coming across fellow Okanagan Valley posters on these threads. Also, I love your avatar - big kitty fan here! -

See, you learn something every day. I have had gay friends since my teens (I am now in my early 60s) and had no idea about the term bear in relation to gay men. So then I did google the Bear Naked Chef, and came up with a website with a close up picture of a very hairy chest standing in a kitchen, over food. He is certainly as hairy as a bear - lol. No manscaping for him - at least in that area. -

I didn't realize that the Vancouver (or as you say, Kelowna) shows had started, so luckily was able to see the show you have referenced On Demand. How cool that you know the husband! They did seem like a lovely couple. I live in Kelowna, so was even more interested that I am in the Vancouver shows. The Khoo's home seems to be in West Kelowna judging from their view. I don't know where the first townhome was that Todd showed them (and I thought it was ugly!) but the last home they showed is just up the hill from me, in the Widen subdivision. It is right on the corner of a main road of the subdivision, so can't imagine that they would have found it appealing even if it had all the green features they wanted. I was wondering as well when this may have been filmed. I check to see when the house last changed hands, and it last sold in July of 2018. And Jillian gave birth to her daughter in October of 2018. So I would guess this was filmed in early 2018 when we still had snow, and into the spring of 2018. I hope you are able to ask Dr Kong if they actually did sell, and buy the container home? I thought it was a big mistake too. I would think it would be hard to find a lot as well. Most lots are in subdivisions like Wilden and The Ponds, and they would not allow a container home there. I would love to know if they did buy, where it was! But personally, I would not give up my lake view! -

Like others, I am confused as to why Tinsley had to move from her room, when Luann could just have moved into the non shark infested room that Tins moved to? Or did that room not meet the countess's standards either, and they just edited that part out? Since I am too lazy to google, does the naked chef really use the moniker the "Bear Naked Chef" as the caption read, or does the captioning person not know the difference between "bear" and "bare"? Either way, I would only want him to cook for me if I was dieting, as he would definitely kill my appetite. Heck, I lost my appetite just watching him on TV. The best part of this episode for me was when Sonja was at the Morgan house, and talking about how she had a historic Morgan house as well. When she talked about the huge responsibility of keeping this historic part of history up (paraphrasing here), then the editors cut to the scene of Sonja explaining that the sink is broken because she was having sex on it, and it pulled away from the wall, I lost it. This franchise either has the best editors, or they just have the best material to work with. -
S09.E09: A Wolf In Camille’s Clothing

I didn't see Camille the first go around, but was watching when Yolanda and David split. I can't think of any housewife in the three franchises that I watch (BH, NY, and OC) that divorced and didn't lose their mind during it - especially if they were cheated on. In fact, that also goes for a couple of friends who divorced because their husbands moved on without telling them and obtaining a divorce first. -

I am wondering what happened as well. Unfortunately Bravo did not play the whole tape of the phone convo between Denise and LVP, so we don't know if Lisa invited Denise for a drink/chat, or Denise misunderstood. It looks like Denise did arrive around 7 as they started showing the time as she waited at 7:06. Lisa didn't arrive until 7:50ish, so it does seem like Denise thought she would be meeting Lisa around 7ish. I think once Lisa arrived, Denise was too embarrassed to say anything about the fact that she had been waiting for almost an hour for Lisa to show for a drink. It would not surprise me a bit if Lisa did this on purpose, likely knowing that Denise was quite likely going to meet the other women. I wasn't watching the series back in the day when Camille was on. I have enjoyed her since she has returned as a "friend of". I also love how she dresses - always classy and elegant. Loved her black and white print outfit at the gathering for Denise. Such a contrast to bolt-on Dorito, and her Fredricks of Hollywood inspired style. But then again she is married to PK, so how much class can she have? -

Just watched the last bit as they were finishing packing and leaving LV. Looks like the editing monkeys were busy again as Kody went from wearing a brown t-shirt, to a blue one, then back to a brown one. Other than at the end, the wet spots on the brown t-shirt look more like water splashes than sweat. Kody's breakdown as he said goodbye to Caleb was pretty funny. Not a tear in sight. Don't give up your day job, Kody. Oh right, you don't have one. Kody really didn't like that Robyn's new neighbours didn't realize that all the kids were his. So he had to announce loudly for all of HIS kids to gather round so he could show them Robyn's house. Just when I think he can't out-asshat himself, he does. And again when he pushed Robyn out of the way. WTF was up with that?
