I just googled and it was 20/20. They just aired their episode in early March (it seemed longer ago than that). I wonder how they choose their cases too, as you would think that it wouldn't be that hard to find out that another show is already covering a case, given that they often interview the same people. One would think that covering a case already done by a competitor would cut down on your ratings if someone decides not to rewatch a case they have already seen. I didn't watch Dateline's because once around was enough for me.

I started to watch this episode, and just a few minutes into it realized that I had seen it before. Is this an old episode that Dateline just updated, or did another show (20/20? 48 Hours?) already cover it? This is the second time in a couple of weeks where I thought I was watching a new episode, but found it was a case I had already watched (though the date shows it is a new episode). Are there really that few crimes being committed that an episode has to be shown twice, or covered by multiple true crime shows? Hard to believe that that would be the case.

I loved the way they shot that scene, because the camera just went back and forth from Leonard and Sheldon, and the elevator was only shown for a second before it opened. I would imagine most didn't register that the caution tape was gone, and that the elevator was dinging. Well done, writers. I loved the episode. From Amy's quiet "We won" which made me tear up, to the slap which made me howl, Amy's make over, Sheldon's speech, etc. So much good stuff. As a woman who has never wanted children, I didn't even mind Penny being pregnant as it wasn't something that we saw/heard from her the entire series. Amy's make over was great, and I just wish they had done it earlier in the season so we could have seen more of her fantastic wardrobe. Also, I have several friends and relatives who have glasses the same shape as Amy's - they don't suit anyone I know, but looked fantastic on Amy. I thought Sheldon's speech was wonderful (also teared up at it), and for those who watch Young Sheldon, YS was brilliant in its ending as well. Though like some others I think the show could have ended a couple of years ago, I will miss this family of characters.

I find it odd that people assume that because Chris has not asked Amy to marry him. that he isn't going to. They have only been going out for a couple of years. It isn't like they have to hurry to get married to start a family. (And BTW I know several people who rushed into marriage to the wrong person because starting a family was more important than finding the right person). I was 46 when I married my husband, he was 48. Neither of us had been married before. We were together for 6 years before we got engaged and got married a year later. We did not live together until we were engaged. And we had been friends for 14 years before we started going out, so it isn't like we were getting to know each other. Not everyone is in a hurry to get married! My brother in law's best friend lived with a woman for many years, but they never married. They broke up, and he started a new relationship. In July he is getting married for the first time. He is 65. Never say never.

My take when I saw the stove in the bedroom at Lu's new place is that Lu plans to rent out the rest of the house, and stay in that room when she is there. Of course for filming purposes, she will not rent it out when she has the girls there so it looks like she is using the whole house herself. I liked the view, but didn't like the house itself. But then I don't like oddly shaped houses. I did wonder when Lu looks out the window if she thinks she really should be living in the mansion across the water. When they showed the still of Ramona's friends at her birthday party, I freeze framed the picture. Wow, it looked like a group audition for women who would like to be on an episode of Botched. Several in the middle row were particularly scary looking. The frozen smile on Lu's face in the preview when the impersonator was singing her song was priceless! Can't wait for next week - lol.

I agree. I thought that her hair pulled back into a ponytail aged her. She looks younger with her signature hair style that frames her face.

Not to mention carrying Portia around the house, hand feeding her and dressing her must be very time consuming. I would rather look after a dozen dogs than toddlerize a 10 year old.

Ha, I was thinking the same thing. Those of us who are addicted to true crime tv have seen many times where the murderer has passed a lie detector test. I don't think it would be that hard for a narcissist. I was really hoping that when Denise asked Aaron if he would be OK going for four days without sex, that he had answered that he was going to visit a massage parlor. Did anyone else think that Kyle dry humped Mauricio because of his reaction to Erika's show, and his congratulatory hug to her after the show? Interesting that he was sitting on the couch with his legs crossed before Kyle jumped him. I thought the scene of Tom watching Ericka perform, and their scene after the show was touching. It is the first time that I think they have showed Tom at a show, and he really did seem to respect her. And Ericka has always shown that she craves Tom's approval. I thought it was a lovely scene. Whatever their marriage is, it works for them. I have never been a fan of Ericka Jane, but I would rather watch snippets of her show than tour LVP's kitchen. I really hate the trend of white on white on white in kitchens. But then I like colour, and almost never wear white, let alone decorate with it. The exception for me would be a white kitchen if it has blue or green accents, and lots of them. I also hate the colour pink (and never wear or decorate with it either) so LVP's kitchen would make me stabby.

I was curious about this so I clicked on the messages under the tweet. Birdie clarified that she meant the $275 was raised on May 8th (she posted on the 9th) so after the show aired - presumably by viewers who donated after seeing the episode.

It seemed like her lawyer was arrogant enough to think that he didn't have to do much to win the case, and that his reputation would win it for him. If he had put on experts to refute the prosecution's claims, it may have given the jury reasonable doubt. Mind you the juror that they interviewed - wow. Apparently having breast implants is enough for her to believe you can kill your children. That woman was way scarier than Darlie. I remember this case from before, and think I also recently saw an rerun of Forensic Files where it was covered. Even then it never made sense to me that she would kill her children for no reason. And if, as the prosecution claims, she didn't want the responsibility of being a mother any longer, why would she not kill all of her kids? Also makes no sense that she would kill her kids with her hubby sleeping right upstairs. Add in the fingerprint, the sock, and the refuted "evidence", and I don't understand why she has never gotten a new trial.

I actually thought this was an old Dateline show, so was surprised to see that it was a new episode. The case has definitely been covered before (20/20? 48 Hours?) and like you I knew early on who the killer was because I remembered the outcome of the case. This is another Dateline episode that despite all the twits and turns, could have been cut down to an hour if they had left out all the interviews regarding how wonderful Meghan was. I am sure she was a lovely girl, but I didn't need to hear it numerous times.

Interesting as when Lu took the stage, they showed the time to be 11:39. So did she start early, or was there an editing monkey making stuff up, and she really did start at 12?

Exactly!! When Luann snarked about Beth going home to watch her child sleep, I was thinking that my three cats sleep for the majority of the day, and I would rather be home watching them sleep than pretty much anywhere else in the world. One of my kitties has just been diagnosed as diabetic, and while I hope it will go into remission (as it can in cats), while I have to give him insulin injections 12 hours apart I plan to use that as an excuse to leave places I don't want to be, or not go in the first place if the invitation doesn't interest me. As many have already said, it isn't surprising that Lu couldn't understand why Beth wanted to be at home with her child. As a friend of my step daughter's once said about my step daughter's mother, she doesn't have a maternal bone in her body. Money can't buy you class, a singing voice, or maternal instincts. I must be a bad person, because as sorry as I felt for Birdie Bridie during the "speech" at the fundraiser, it was honestly one of the funniest scenes I have ever watched. From the WTF look on Bridie's face, to Ramona, Dorinda and Sonja all outdoing each other in regards to their breathtaking lack of self awareness, I was howling with laughter. I am still chuckling. Just when you think they cannot outdo themselves, they do just that.

I believe Teddi said that she was sleeping in the RV. There isn't a motorhome big enough that I would personally want to share with 5 other women, no matter how close we might be. Most motor homes would have a bedroom (and maybe a second small one) but the rest of the sleeping areas would be couches etc that convert to a bed. No thanks. I will take one of those gorgeous tents any day. I also don't have a problem with them taking an RV owned by Teddi's hubby that advertises his company. How many times do we see Mauricio and his family wearing clothing advertising his company? More often than I care to see. But then I don't have a problem with Teddi in general, so there is that. I loved seeing all the howives having fun, wearing minimal makeup and doing something besides eating in yet another restaurant. I loved seeing them all rock climbing - wish they had had a final race with Rinna, Erika and Dorito! This was by far my favourite epi of the season, but then it was a pretty low bar to exceed. I loved seeing the ladies all getting along with just an occasional flare up, which is pretty normal (and tame for this franchise). It was lovely to have a reprieve from seeing LVP's sour puss. Thank you to the powers that be for giving me one enjoyable episode.

ITA. It was totally ridiculous as it is obvious that there was no reason for the guy in the pickup to chase the SUV since it is being pursued by the police. Honestly when they said the guy in the red pickup ended up running over the guy, I thought that it sounded like a Coen brothers movie! The other thing that was ridiculous to me was that the police had the house where the two guys were living under surveillance for a couple of weeks, They could have apprehended them before they got into the SUV. Police already knew that these two had no regard for others, and in fact would smash into other vehicles in order to evade capture. IMO the police put other people on the road at risk, when there was no reason to.

Thanks for posting all of that info, shok! Very interesting! I have always wondered if the reno budget included materials and labour, as often it seems too low to include both. I also assumed that the homeowners would pay for the furniture, but would imagine there must be some kind of a discount (and possibly for renos too) as what would be the advantage for the homeowner to do the show unless it benefited them somehow financially? Also interesting that Jillian is not the decorator as the show seems to present her as such. I have always thought she has such great taste! I thought the show did a good job of presenting your doctor as a climate change warrior, so while he may not have thought they did I thought it came through pretty clear. And the fact that they chose the energy efficient (and very ugly IMO!) home also points pretty clearly to that. I am not surprised though that the lot on Abbott was way more money than what was stated on the show - $750,000 seemed very low for lakefront in a prime location. Heck, some lake view lots in subdivisions are selling for more than that. Your doctor does sound like a sweetie, and so nice of him to take the time to fill you in! I hope the rest of your appointment was just as positive!

At this point I do not care who didn't or didn't give what interview to what outlet. The bottom line for me is that LVP gave two dogs to people that she should have known were not suitable dog parents. (They are barely suitable child parents and only are due to paid help). In addition LVP said on the show initially that she was not upset with what Dorito/PK did. That is just appalling in my book. And I think it was more to protect her reputation with her dog rescue than to protect her friendship with PK (I think Dorito is disposable - she just happens to be married to PK). Some have speculated that the whole idea in the first place may have been to give her VP Dogs air time, and that would not surprise me a bit. I also give a big side eye (as I think KF Bunny also pointed out) to VP Dogs itself. It appears to be run by a bunch of young people who may not necessarily even know what they are doing. And I really, really, REALLY find it annoying that John Sessa is continually referred to as Dr John Sessa in relation to the dog rescue, which to me leads people to believe that he is a vet, or at least a MD, when in fact he has a PHD in business. Very misleading, and shady AF. While I appreciate anyone who tries to help animals (and I work with rescues myself) there is enough questionable stuff that I see with LVP that I cannot give her a pass just because she is an animal lover. Finally my biggest beef with LVP is that I feel (and always have) that she treats the other wives like they are her employees. I have never watched VPR as I do not watch this franchise for LVP, so have no interest in her other show. But I get the feeling that she is used to be queen bee in her restaurants (understandably) and thinks she should also be queen bee on this show (not understandably, at least not to me). I think the only semi friendship she has ever had is with Kyle, and that is only when it suits her. In the end, these women are just co workers. Nothing more. But then are NOT LVP's minions.

I can't see the video posted above, but 12 episodes in and I have not changed my mind that the person most responsible for the Lucy debacle is LVP, who should have known better than to adopt out any dog (let alone two) to PK and Dorito. Not letting Dorito off the hook, but if LVP had the best interests of the dogs in mind they would have never gone to people who cannot raise their own children without a gaggle of nannies. I also call B.S. on LVP saying she has never lied before. Insert eye roll here. Not to mention it was OTT to not only insist that she didn't give the story to Radar (which I still think is quite possible she did) but to insist that no one in her camp did either. She does not control every other person in her life, as much as she might think she does. Kyle insisting that people know all of their close friends' friends is ridiculous. And again not to defend Dorito and PK, but it was actually LVP who suggested the Kemsleys as additions to the show. I find Kyle's parenting to be disturbing. When your child sleeps in your bed at the age of ten, it is not for the child, it is for the parent. Sad. I cannot imagine at the age of 10 having woken up every morning with my mother, let alone my father. WTF is she thinking? And I was not the least bit impressed with one (or more) of the older daughters laughing at the dog who had escaped into the street. Personally I would have been running to find it, worried that it might be hit by a car. They seemed totally unconcerned. Morons.

I call producer shenanigans on the move. There is no way that truck held a household full of furniture. My guess is that there were movers hired to move most of the stuff, and the rest was staged for Zach and friends/Chris/Jeremy to move enough to fill up the moving truck. It wasn't even packed well - there was lots of wasted space. Personally, i have never moved without hiring movers. It isn't that expensive and saves a lot of work and headaches. Worth every penny. I am continuing to adore Murphy - what a cutie. I laughed at Zach saying that he didn't know at the moment what two snaps of the fingers meant, but it would mean something. And Tori telling him Murphy comes to her because she doesn't snap her fingers. Smart lady, that Tori. Caryn must really love Matt, because if someone I was dating bought the property that Matt bought I would head for the hills. I was expecting the music from Deliverance to start playing. I don't know if this show has ever made me tear up (oh ya, I did when Sully died) but I did at the end when Amy talked about her childhood. I am so happy that she is in a great place in her life now, and especially that she is rid of (at least relationship wise) Matt. I think he is as big of a bully as those she put up with growing up.

Double post

Regarding the picture of Mario with Sonja and Ramona, I doubt that it is photo shopped. I am the poster who posted the picture originally. The reason I went looking for such a picture is that I remember at least one scene from a previous season where Mario was standing exactly like this, angled towards Sonja and pretty much ignoring Ramona. From their body language you would have thought that Mario was with Sonja and Ramona was the outsider. In the last year that Ramona and Mario were together on the show, Sonja spent quite a bit of time with them, and there were other instances where Mario and Sonja seemed totally into each other, and right in front of Ramona.

It does seem like the police work initially in the Kathy Heckel case was shoddy. When Lloyd said that there was a piece of carpet missing in his van due to kids getting oil etc. on it, did they ever ask the kids? Mind you they could be coached, but it sounds like the police just took his word for it, Ditto with waiting 13 months to check out the guitar guy's alibi, then finding missing pages in the log. Did they check out the guys he said he was golfing with? Again they could lie, but would all lie for him? Oddly enough it wasn't what was said on the episode itself that finally made me sure Lloyd was guilty, but a discrepancy between what Lloyd's lawyer said and what Lloyd himself wrote. In the interview with his lawyer, the lawyer said yes, Lloyd had an affair with Kathy, but so did the guitar guy. In the letter that Lloyd wrote to Dateline, Lloyd said that he did not have a romantic relationship with Kathy, or have sexual intercourse with her. When the lawyer and his client are telling completely different stories about a rather basic and important fact, that does not point to innocence in my book.

My opinion on Barbara looking a decade older than she is isn't based on comparing her to other howives, but rather my own family and friends. I am 61, and most of my friends are mid 40s to late 60s. I actually find some howives look older than they are, especially if they have set the makeup gun to clown. LVP on RHoBH looks a decade older than she is when she is overly made up and dressed like a woman much older than she is. She looks best in minimal makeup and a t shirt and jeans. Similarly, Kyle looks like Mortica Addams in her THs this season, and older than she actually is. I think Barbara's biggest problem is that she needs a make over. Her hair ages her, as does her makeup.

According to the link provided above, the company Barbara now owns was only formed in 2015. In the magazine article it has links to, it says her company brings in $30 million a year and has 22 employees, so pretty small potatoes for NY one would think. I was surprised to read that she is only in her late 40s, she looks a decade older. While double checking her age I came across an article from last month which states that Barbara declared bankruptcy in 2015. She owed 1.17 million to creditors, had $25,000 in credit card debt, owned $86,000 in unpaid rent and $747,900 in legal fees. In addition with her current company she owes $63,000 in unpaid taxes and penalties.

I thought at the time the fortune teller was saying this, that Sonja looked scared shitless that the woman was going to reveal Sonja as the woman Mario was cheating with! I really enjoyed this episode, and the time just flew by. I remember looking at the clock when there was 10 minutes left, and thought it couldn't be more than half over. In contrast, every episode of RHoBH seems to last two hours. Since I got two episodes for the price of one this week, I haven't even bothered to watch the first (the one that aired in the U.S. last week). Now that Debbie Downer Radzi is gone, I really do not mind any of the current women. They all have their pluses and minuses, but of the three franchises I watch this is by far my fav.
