  1. Agree with all. I almost turned off after the Burning Lady episode. Who was the guru, Paris Hilton? Why can't they just write the development of the characters without introducing these implausible scenes, like Cole at O'Hare? As for Anton, Princeton accepted him last year, but then he was suspended for plagiarism. So why do they all assume he is accepted again? Did he even send that ridiculous essay to them yet? And I don't think there are too many, if any, treatments for pancreatic cancer. Given that Vik has waited to start anything, shouldn't he be very ill by now?
  2. You can marathon train anywhere. And wasn't Bethenny in Ibiza with the beautiful people? I think that was her European summer; she posted from all the hot spots, Mykonos, etc.
  3. And this is presumably after her desperate texts to Red Scarf Guy for a date, so she and Dennis were not exactly bff's at the time.
  4. All I've got to say is lets get to the boat ride from hell. So Carole is leaving. One of them had to leave; this drama is fatiguing. I do believe Carole left voluntarily. Maybe she realized it was damaging her spirit, not to mention her future career. Bethenny will never leave voluntarily, not now. When Bethenny said "I'm scheduled every minute of 24 hours" or the like, I almost choked. She is in charge of her schedule, she humble brags incessantly on her IG about her appearances, etc, and how she flies non stop to be on time for Bryn (to adhere to the ridiculously rigid schedule she has forced on jason). She's rich; she can curtail her schedule. She can reach a more amicable agreement with Jason. And calling Dennis for a plane, pathetic. And let's be reminded she initiated the custody hearing that was so stressful. That hearing didn't go the way she wanted and the judge ordered that Bryn be evaluated psychologically as to how she relates to each of them. Bethenny didn't have a clue about that result, but she brought it on herself. You don't "know it all" Bethenny.
  5. And Bethenny didn’t write her 100 New York Times best sellers on her own. She wrote them on the phone, remember. Think they were not extensively edited, or more accurately, rewritten? Does she thank all her team for that, not that i’ve noticed..
  6. Was Bethenny renewed on Shark Tank? Curious. I saw ARod on Fallon and he said he was renewed, so I gathered decisions had been made.
  7. One of the two had to go. Bravo wouldn’t fire bethenny and bethenny will not quit. Bethenny has got to peddle her wares. I hope Carole does something interesting. I always assumed she needed the money.
  8. Never thought of that, but I had been noting (on my very dark iPad) that Amma in certain scenes looks just like Amy Adams. Course I attributed that to the fact that they have the same mother, even though Patricia Clarkson looks like neither of them.
  9. Frat Boy Groper telegraphed his intentions from minute one. The actor was attempting some sort of accent, I couldn't tell if it was southern or suave know it all. Alison was not his type, no matter what accent it was.
  10. Oh, I've been waiting to hear someone say that. It's terrible. I usually watch the show later and FF it. (And SHO usually has good openings)
  11. There is a consistency to the hierarchy of these ratings though. Year after year after year, New York is not in the top. Its hard to pretend that it is, no matter the rationalization. Some shows are up against Thanksgiving and Christmas programming, some shows are up against the NBA finals. Some years no one cares about the NBA finals, and some years they care a lot. I believe these are the measures advertisers still use, so its what the the execs have now. The best measure would be advertising dollars generated by the program or cost per advertising minute. That's all Bravo cares about. And probably only Bravo knows that. Or if anyone can provide those stats, I'd love to see them.
  12. Theis article shows the top 100 shows of 2017 -2018 in the prime 18 to 49 age demographic. Atlanta and BH are the only two HW shows on the list. https://www.indiewire.com/2018/05/most-watched-tv-shows-2017-2018-season-roseanne-this-is-us-walking-dead-1201968306/ And here is is an article talking about Bethenny's effect on the ratings. https://realityblurb.com/2018/05/09/bethenny-frankel-takes-credit-for-real-housewives-of-new-york-city-ratings-boost-but-did-they-really-go-up/
  13. Nope. Atlanta had highest ratings of them all for many years. For now I checked this week only, and OC topped NY.
  14. They were two of the worst written scenes in the history of this show. Smarmy wife number two slobbering over Dad so you knew some sort of request to Alison was imminent. Noah blustering into principal's office and taking over the conversation was totally implausible. Yes, writers are trying to make a point, but have they heard of subtlety?
  15. My speculation was not that Andy would fire Bethenny, but that Bethenny would leave. She feels left out this year, has lost her clout with the show as is obvious by the editing, and certainly can afford not to be on the show. On the other hand, she loves the camera, and she's got to peddle her stuff, so she may put up with being humiliated. As for B's big clout, OC has higher ratings, and BH has always clobbered NY in ratings.
  16. I'm wondering how Bethenny can return to the show next year unless she demands that Andy cast a designated "friend" for her. I wonder how Andy would handle the request under the current circumstances. Bethenny must peddle the jeans, so she has a dilemma if he says no.
  17. "He says that he finds her fascinating, brilliant and accomplished and is still getting to know her." Note to Bethenny, this refers to Carole, not you. She sure is aggressive, isn't she?
  18. The guy with the Red Scarf speaks:. You need to go to the link to see his screenshots. They didn't copy. https://shirasgotthescoop.com/2018/07/21/rhony-the-guy-with-the-red-scarf-sets-the-record-straight/#respond The Curious George series has the “man with the yellow hat” and recently, Real Housewives of New York introduced “the guy with the red scarf.” There was the French pirate before him, followed by zany Rey at the Madam Paulette event, and of course, that man that “it’s all about”, Tom D’Agastino. This new neck-cessorized suitor of the season will surely also be the subject of future flashback scenes. He has already been the impetus for a car ride recap by Bethenny and a contentious dinner conversation between the ladies. Viewers observed how Ramona Singer was the first to single him out at a speed dating event, after which he focused his attention on Bethenny and declared he had been hoping to see her there. However, it was Carole Radziwill who ultimately scored a post-event blind date with him, set up by the speed dating event’s matchmaker Rori Sassoon. Afterwards, while in Colombia with her cast mates, Bethenny claimed -and complained – that he was hitting her up repetitively by text. In case you were in the dark about his identity, the red scarf belongs to Brian Krauss, a 53 year old resident of Saddle River, NJ, who tells me he had never watched RHONY until this year and was unfamiliar with all the players except Bethenny. The two had met away from the show and glitz of NYC, in Miami. Brian Krauss’s Instagram Brian marvels about how “the guy with the red scarf” became a character (he didn’t don the accessory to stand out, rather for practical reasons: It was freezing that winter night.) and his adamancy about not expecting to be a storyline strikes me as sincere. After all, this lawyer and entrepreneur (he founded and sold the companies IPATH Footwear and Vintage1 and is now focused on his law firms) had never watched the show until he was informed he’d be on the speed dating episode. Now, he has to tune in weekly to keep up with the narrative. As we’re chatting by phone, Brian sends me an email comprised of what he’s written in order to set the record straight on his relationship to Bethenny: A Tale of Two Texts Bethenny has an odd habit of making up stories where she looks good at the expense of others. This tale is no exception. I bet those texts she was reading gave you the impression they were all from me after we re-connected at speed dating. False. They weren’t. They were cobbled together from months earlier when she first swiped right on The League, a dating app, to match with me. She conveniently left out all her replies. There were so many. Trust me, it is unnerving to film RHONY. I agreed because I believe in my friend Rori’s matchmaking business Platinum Poire. And yes, I was happy to see Bethenny, a woman I already knew, felt comfortable with and considered a friend. Her claim that she texted me that same night to fix me up with Carole: also false. In real life Rori arranged a dinner the next evening. Also, in real life Bethenny texted me immediately after she left speed dating to say what a great time she had had. Then she woke up at 6:01 the next morning (Feb. 1st) to set up a date for herself. When I saw the show, I laughed at the way Bethenny turned what I thought was a flirty, fun speed dating night into a full on pursuit. Here are screenshots of the actual texts between us. It’s kind of brilliant how this became “he won’t stop texting me.” You decide. I’m blue. Bethenny is grey. By the way, I’m out of the reality show business. It’s insane! Then four days later: ———————————————— Brian explains that when he first met Bethenny in Miami, he felt a connection to her because they both had been through difficult divorces. He is not a stranger to reality television as he had once been a part of a project with the intent of promoting a business. That reality show never aired, in large part due to his divorce and refusal to be inauthentic about his marital struggles, as well as tensions with his brothers-in-law business partners. A client of Rori’s matchmaking business referred Brian for the speed dating event. After speaking with her at length by phone, Brian says he really liked the matchmaker and her business concept and wanted to help her promote the company. He relates that he almost backed out of filming after having second thoughts. Now, Brian is a part of the RHONY saga. He is a character that true fans of the franchise won’t forget. He is gobsmacked by the amount of friend requests he’s received on Facebook since appearing on the show and by the number of followers he has recently acquired on Instagram. He laments that it’s been hard to keep up. “At the reunion, I think Carole will probably set the record straight about how things actually went down,” he speculates. This aligns with the rumors about the upcoming reunion. Bethenny fans will not be happy at the insinuations that she has been less than truthful. They will have to come to their own conclusions when Carole presents the “receipts.” Brian says he remains in touch with Carole and I try to gauge if there’s romantic interest there, but I’m mainly unsuccessful. He says that he finds her fascinating, brilliant and accomplished and is still getting to know her. As for Bethenny? “Oh no, I’m not in touch and I won’t text her. I would NOT want that to get misconstrued!”
  19. Yup, absolutely true. I wonder where that case stands? It means Bethenny can do all her travelling and work because she can hire a nanny or take Bryn with her without Jason's permission. That is what she wants, full control, as in everything else. This article says the court date would have been May 10th, but I've read nothing about it. https://www.eonline.com/news/919535/judge-orders-bethenny-frankel-and-jason-hoppy-to-get-forensic-custody-evaluations-with-bryn
  20. Exactly. I thought of that immediately! Glad you posted it. Bethenny will flip when she learns that he sent Carole her texts.
  21. Yeah, from miss #iknowitall, that was a very big stretch. She's a master at social media.
  22. I think Bethenny lost a lot of clout when her show with Fredrik went totally south. Fredrik even said he probably wouldn't work with her again. So the perceived influence Bethenny had with Bravo and maybe even Andy is I think gone. This frees up the other women to treat B just like one of the castmates, not someone with power and casting influence. Carole I think despises Bethenny and is clever enough to act in the way she knows will piss off Bethenny the most. I enjoy seeing Carole's outfits. I think they look ridiculous on her, but it's fun to see them. In the beginning, I think her edgy wardrobe was more organically achieved; she wore what was in her wardrobe. Didn't she own vintage Ossie Clark? Now I think it is quite calculated to look as eccentric as possible. Loved the Gloria Swanson turban and 50's bathing suit outfit. Did they say outfit number one was Alaia?
  23. I agree. Kelly could not handle the group emotionally because of whatever evident issues she has. Her breakdown was real, and should have been recognized as such. As recently as two years ago B was hawking a t shirt saying "go to sleep." This was years after the actual incident and I thought it was unnecessarily cruel. But that's B, unnecessarily cruel. I remember Bethenny trying to take on Heather from day one. Maybe she was jealous of Heather and Carole's relationship. Carole doesn't give a damn and its wonderful to see.
  24. Agree. I didn't even understand the way they used the Tiffany boxes to select the rooms, frankly.
