  1. Carole has a house in LA, doesn't she? So she didn't need any excuse to be there for the holidays and be unwilling to engage in long texts with Bethenny. It would seem there wasn't much contact between the marathon (early November) and the holidays although they were filming the show. I don't blame Carole for not acting like a dog on a leash and responding to long texts just because Bethenny is in the mood.
  2. Sonja has a boatload of Birkins, so I think she very well knows the price and status of Louis Vuittons. Except for a luggage piece, I don't think she'd carry one.
  3. Bethenny has no friends this year except Lu and Sonja, so B will be very sympathetic for camera purposes.
  4. I noticed that as well. It reminded me of Kim Richards and her frequent bathroom trips.
  5. All cosmetic brands do this. In the cosmetics world, it’s frequently just marketing hype, but not always. Many new ingredients have been proven effective in skin care in the last few years and have been incorporated into products. Customers are now expecting new stuff all the time. Bethenny sold vitamins for a New York minute. Do you think she’d never sell vitamins again if a profitable opportunity presented itself?
  6. Let's not forget that Bethenny had her own skin care and cosmetics line for a quick minute back in the day. She flogged it everywhere but it disappeared in a hot minute, just as 99% of her products did.
  7. Anyone who wants to see clips from LuAnn’s “Cabernet Show”” can see it on Jill’s instastory from last night. She looks fabulous, that’s all I’ll say. Oh, more of it is on Ally’s Instastory.. AllyShapiro.
  8. If she had primary custody, she’d get a nanny and would not think twice about leaving Bryn with the nanny instead of with Jason. She’d rather do that than having joint custody but being more flexible with arrangements. I think home schooling would be the worst possible scenario for Bryn. She needs to be involved in social situations with other people. Jason is the one who prevented Bryn from being shown on TV or social media. Bethenny has violated this rule several times on instastory.
  9. The show disappointed me except for the end. Where did Bravo get that LuAnn arrest footage? Did they buy it from some bystander that was outside the hotel and get exclusive rights to show it? Lu looked dreadful in the Berkshires scenes, old and tired. I think she was drinking heavily that whole day but manages to hold it together because her body has a high tolerance. I can only imagine how much she had to drink before the Palm Beach incident. I want to hear Carole mention Jason. Why is he off the table when every other bf or husband is mentioned, Adam, Mario, Tom, etc. The phone call between Ramona and Bethenny seemed so staged, almost as if each side were filmed at a different time, and Bethenny was reading from a script. It was funny to see poor Coco in the street though. Bethenny walking out of the argument several times just reminds me of so many scenes in the past where she can't handle things and runs.
  10. Just realized that Bobby Zarin died on Jan 13th, so we have Bethenny's dramatic entrance to the memorial service to look forward to seeing.
  11. I doubt if Carol ran the marathon just because Adam did. Marathon training is serious and lasts for months. Carole and Adam could not have shared training runs because he is so much faster than she is. Yeah, she could meet him before and after training, but seemingly she was already doing that with he "coffee" dates.
  12. I'm only watching NY now and plan to stick with it. Gave up all the others a while ago. I'm looking forward to next week's show and to the shows about the fire on the boat. They should be about as real as RH gets. I'll love seeing everyone's REAL reactions. As for the Lu arrest, I don't think we'll see much except the others' reactions. She wasn't being filmed and went right off to rehab for a month. Bethenny's summer rental still available. https://www.corcoran.com/hamptons-real-estate/for-rent/bridgehampton/2623-montauk-highway/5372767?WebID=101901#
  13. Hey guess what Carole Tweeted last night? Maybe she reads here. Carole Radziwill‏Verified account @CaroleRadziwill 11h11 hours ago More I'm slow to jargon....Can someone explain what the bringing the receipts phrase means? Bad or good? Re Bethenny and paying back, I was reminded of Bobby and how much he paid for Bethenny that whole summer in the Hamptons, and she couldn't be bothered to visit him in the hospital when his thyroid was being removed.
  14. Did anyone notice Bethenny's young interns helping her pack for a weekend? And the "are you Jewish," in her usual shriek was offensive. Yeah, among friends its not offensive but these are her minions not her friends. And wouldn't she know if her employee was Jewish ?
  15. Absolutely. The beef is about something else, and the show took advantage of it. They don't deal with the real reason, so focused on this trivial Adam thing. I had noticed that Carole was not on B's social media at all in the summer of 2017, and wondered what had happened. I believe there is a real sense of betrayal on Carole's part over what happened. And B is shocked that anyone would want to move out of her orbit. I found the show to be deadly dull last night. I had no interest in the murder mystery. I had been sort of curious as to who would be the most clever in figuring out the clues, but they didn't even show that. Did anyone notice that Lu seemed to leave the group several times, perhaps to tipple from a private bottle? Wonder what date it was filmed; how close was it to her Palm Beach meltdown. Carole's misuse of I and me drives me nuts. And Bethenny's hawking her products is infuriating. I loved that no one really had interest in the jeans.
  16. I see Bethenny has put her Montauk highway investment house on the market already. She didn't do much with it, but hopes to make $1mil. Maybe she will. Or maybe Ramona was correct about the location; we shall see. https://hamptons.curbed.com/2018/5/16/17357154/bethenny-frankel-bridgehampton-morning-glory-lists I felt sorry for Jill when she had to leave the Southampton house. Bobby had not died yet, he was in an out of the hospital. I'm sure she knew (or he told her) that she wouldn't be able to afford it any more. She certainly made use of that house. https://hamptons.curbed.com/2018/5/18/17367944/real-housewives-new-york-jill-zarin-southampton-rental-summer
  17. There was a story that although officially they split the properties, Mario sold his half to Ramona for $0. Whether that is true or not, I have no way of knowing. I completely agree that Ramona is not flush. She's comfortable, but planning for the long run. I wouldn't want to lay out all the annual expenses for the Hamptons house, with or without a mortgage, not knowing what my long term income was going to be. With life expectancy as it is, she's going to live a long time. Don't like the word the way it is currently used, as I said. So no I didn't like the SkinnyGirl name.
  18. No, the man (and it was ALWAYS a man) should have said "my assistant." Perhaps because woman's role has improved so much in the workplace it doesn't matter as much anymore, but it did matter then. Words do connote something. Lu was affectionate with her Whoop Whoops and her Diana Ross too. Sometimes she needs to be a bit more mindful.
  19. I think Lu is frugal. She so frequently wears the same clothes and doesn't seem to engage in frivolous spending. She's in her 50's and has a long life ahead. She's got to plan for the possibility that her money will need to last for a long time. She'd have an apartment in the city if she were really flush. I'm sure Jacques paid for the west side apartment she had for a season or two. As for Ramona, I think she's been very smart with her money. I'm sure the apartment and house had no mortgage on them; they'd owned both for a while. Maintenance on the Hamptons house must be huge (gardening, etc), and renting it out for a month or two for a fortune solves that problem. In the long run, she has a huge asset with the Hamptons home. She too has many years to go and she'll want to live in the style to which she's accustomed. She can always do what Lu did, sell the big Hamptons place and buy a smaller one, but I think renting the big house is a better option. Ramona is renting this year for $165 thous a month. https://hamptons.curbed.com/2018/4/24/17274480/real-housewives-new-york-ramona-singer-southampton-rental
  20. Off topic, but in an office environment, the word "girl" was used in a demeaning way. No one said "boy" about men of the same age and possibly doing the same job. It was also a reflection of, when I started work, the lack of female executives or women with any power at all. When men who had dedicated secretaries (common then) and referred to them as "my gal" I literally used to cringe.
  21. Absolutely. I'm of the generation who fought to change "girl" to "woman." I remember the old days in the office when men referred to "my girl" or worse "my gal." It wasn't easy. Now to hear everyone say girl again dismays me a bit. I also am particularly surprised at Carole. Now I've got to read Ramona's blog. I think the power on the show has drifted away from Bethenny at last. She has no allies, really can't count Lu and Sonja; they are the nobodies, especially with Lu's incident coming up shortly. Most of them shied away from direct confrontation with her because of her Andy connection and her Carole connection. They feared she had clout with casting, and she probably did. Hey, she may still, but the others don't seem to care.
  22. Yeah, I noticed last year that Bethenny was getting increasingly snarky with Carole, often about her outfits. I can't remember any specific remark but I know I was surprised that Carole didn't retort. Anyway, this week in the Berkshires should be GOOD TEE VEE.
  23. But Andy and Carole have a long time relationship. He'd been trying to get her on the show for ages. My point was one of the reasons Bethenny cozied up to Carole in the beginning was the Andy/Carole friendship. Carole/Bethenny then made a formidable duo on the show against the others. Now that Carole has broken this off, I think the others feel quite free to be Bethenny's "enemy" for show and personal purposes. I'd be really uncomfortable on the show if I were Bethenny because she takes things so personally. But as we both said, its her platform for advertising the jeans, so I doubt she'll leave. Carole has no reason to leave because she has Tinsley, she's having fun, and the money is nice.
  24. I think one of the reasons Bethenny glommed onto Carole in the beginning is that Carole and Andy were good friends. She really couldn't afford to make Carole an enemy at that time. Wasn't that around the time she lost her Sirius show because of her imperious behavior in the Hamptons. Andy had hooked her up with Sirius. Carole seems to be much shyer as far as integrating herself into an established group, plus Bethenny is funny and caustic, just as Carole is, so Bethenny was a natural ally. Let's face it the rest of the cast didn't have a chance against that duo. Even Heather was thrown to the wolves, and Heather is one strong woman (climbing the Himalayas now). I like Jill, but I don't want her on the show again. I guess "life after Bobby" might be a tempting storyline for Andy, though. I was thinking that Bethenny might not return next year. She really has no friends on the show. But then again, where would she shill her Skinny Girl jeans.
