Okay, it appears all things Naruto has been crunched into a single thread. So I guess this is the place to talk Boruto . . . at least unless it warrants its own forum or thread. Anyway, marathon launches tomorrow night on Toonami. And that was one fucked-up dream. Clones with personalities is weird. One of them representing Naruto's feminine side through Sexy no Jutsu? Weirder. Might Guy in a Speedo? WOW.

I'm still wondering about the deal of the Native American looking guy that Stain nailed along with Iida. Here's All Might at the USJ fight . . . as recreated by Super Smash Bros characters. ETA: Does anyone understand the disembodied hands covering Shigaraki? For that matter, how do cosplayers simulate that effect? I ran into one and he told me, but I forgot how it was done.

I'm getting the occasional like, only to find a profile with barely anything there. That's a little frustrating. I'm also answering profiles, but I'm not getting any responses. Annoying, but what can I do? It happens. There's no additional pressure from turning 43, though I'm still feeling inadequate about my lack of relationship experience.

Like I said, it’s hard to gauge how good the series is because of the extremes involved. Maybe measure that and past seasons with the meridian? 🤷‍♂️

The good news: this is the second-best movie of the DC Comics Wave. Bad news: that really ain’t saying much. I was good with it, but I kept predicting story beats. Well, I thought Black Manta was going to drop by to murder Atlanta Atlanna. Nope . . . he winds up with Atlantis History Freak for the sequel that might never happen, she gets the reunion with the humble lighthouse keeper. While I thought the scruffy look and the tattoos was basically Warner Bros. really trying their damnedest to get people interested in a usually-derided character, I thought Jason Momoa did a good job. Black Manta? This one was interesting, but I think the version from Young Justice has that topped, in the sense I wound up caring for an Aquaman villain. Nice that Prince Orm looked more like canon recognizable Aquaman, but he wasn’t much of a villain. Didn’t really go beyond one dimension. Are man buns no longer derided these days? So many here. Maybe if Henry Cavill had one in Justice League, they wouldn’t have needed CGI to get rid of the mustache, because people would be distracted by the man bun. 🤷‍♂️ Well, at least Shazam! looks fun. Sadly, I don’t think the DC movies will reach the acclaim of Marvel. Also, in the inevitable Honest Trailer, Black Manta will be labeled “Krillmonger.” ETA: Here's the Crowing Moment of Funny page from TVTropes. Didn't remember Julie Andrews was in there . . . voicing the guardian of the super trident.

I think it's more than the conflict within the fandom -- might be trolls, might be actual fans, no way to tell -- that took a lot of air out of S11. Chibnall not going for the rim-rocking crowd-pleasing slam dunks probably didn't help. In case you didn't see it, here's a teaser for what might be the only DW we'll get in 2019.

And thanks to Marvel's epic Spider stories, the Emissary from Hell is in continuity, albeit on another Earth. I'm guessing Sony would have to talk with Toei to bring him into a sequel, but it might be worth it.

This ain't Jojo's Adventures Where There's an Acceptable Amount of Logic. Two rats got shot, they both wound up with tank-like Stands that can dissolve flesh. And Jotaro had a different outfit on for some reason. Maybe that's the camouflage look for him? What's better coming from Santa: "Jo Jo Jo!" or "Ho Ho OH MY GOD!!!!!!!"

@scrb . . . what, pray tell, is a "farewhore"? 😛 He ain't the only guy with Challenge ties that has wonderful news . . . CJ Koegel (Fresh Meat II, Battle of the Seasons (2012)) and Chuck also got engaged to their respective SOs. They don't have many Challenges between them even with Johnny Reilly, and that may explain why they don't have horrible shade to throw around like most of the "favorites" these days.

I'm also responding to profiles . . . but the messages get sent out whenever I hit ENTER . . . which is either something that I need to correct, or I have to remember to hit SHIFT and ENTER. Fuck. Today has not been my day. I totally whiffed on that, and I am sorry. It is funny that out of the three players that originally appeared on TAR, two of them made it to Day 39. Meanwhile, folks from Big Brother and Survivor have been on TAR quite often since 2004, and I think a lot of them were "recommended" by CBS to race. It's also due to TAR that I didn't lay the hammer upon Mike. Also, he was the oldest male playing, he wasn't a physical threat, and he looked like he'd burst into flame with too much exposure to the sun. To me, that went over more than his actions, being a buddy of Probst, and writing the screenplay for The Emoji Movie. That last bit was dishearteningly to discover. Seriously, Jonathan Penner wrote The Bye Bye Man, and that wasn't as hated.

Apparently, Probst didn't want to spell out the big game-shaking twist for Edge of Extinction. All I can say is that it's a doozy, and it could fail in a spectacular manner. Also annoying: they don't show the one returning player I'm amped to see. Seriously, though, why is the Reunion always scheduled for 10 p.m.? When was the last time it ran a little past that? At least they covered the heavier hitters, as well as Pat, the first-episode near-fatality. I'm not saying he deserves another shot, but I'd totally understand if he did come back. As high-horsey as Natalie was, she did have a few good points. Also, I can't remember if she was on the same tribe as Christian. They could have talked for hours, and Christian doesn't feel pain when he talks, so she wouldn't get to him that badly.
