Kenya texting while driving is just the worst! A friend of mine just lost a family member who was hit by a driver texting. It is now vehicular manslaughter but even that has not stopped selfish people from texting because they are so important.

Being from the Detroit area myself I can tell you that the city of Flint has been trying for years to get the information out. Only when the testing of children on a massive scale did the feds jump in and now it is too late for some. Look what's going on in Detroit now too. Gov Snyder stepped into Detroit too and had taken over the Detroit schools and now we find these school to be infested with growth of mushrooms and other toxins. Love that Sherri thinks she is a great mom, a mom who whips her special needs child.

I have to disagree with you Tenatively. All the things you suggest, Iraq war etc and the aftermath within our society was NOT PC and us pacifists who wanted to let the terrorist win were being called PC. It was the plan of Cheney and his ilk that by encouraging the nonPC crowd to go ahead and get crazy so that Cheney and his ilk could profit. Same thing with AIDS, it was the PC crowd that was depicted of letting this ungodly people spread this evil disease. Letting cops shoot black boys and being upset about it is very PC. Same sex marriage - OMG PC is out of hand, so they say. Let's not forget that most people in all the scenarios are on the side of PC but the underbelly has risen up. On this point Whoopi and Joy were correct. Now I have to dunk my head in acid because I just defended Whoopi. A couple of definitions of PC. First up the Urban Dictionary and if you scroll down you can see different arguments - pretty interesting. A typical Merriam-Webster and once again the comments are all over the place. I call James Briggs the winner of actual knowledge.

What a horrible show! I think it boarders on abuse. I agree that Seelah's parents are passing on very bad traits. Kids need to run and play. They will pick up their strengths in various fields along the way. The boys mother who said to do it her way was off. Kids are supposed to find ways to solve problems on their own, it is the only way they can grow into individual thinkers.

While trying to locate the joke's first appearance I ran into a discussion on Familyguysteals on blogger and a poster said she heard it in the 90s from Whoopi at the roast where Ted Danson came in blackface. How wild is that. The post was quickly disputed as the first appearance of the joke and probably dates back much further to someone like Rodney Dangerfield....

Luck topic - Candace, shut the hell up. When I was a kid I had to sell tickets to earn my baseball uniform. I was 9 years old and went to a couple houses and then my parents sold the rest. The next year I was nervous about going out again but my parents said to just kiss the pack. Apparently these tickets were for many, many prizes including trips etc that were donated by local businesses. Almost every single ticket in my pack was a winner. Every year people would show up at our door and by the tickets and win. We never won but others did - go figure. I played ball until I was 17 with the city organization and never had to sell a ticket again. I work with kids at the library and every summer we have a summer reading club. If the kids complete 35 days of reading they get a ticket in the grand prize drawing which has many, many prizes to raffle off. I learned that some people are just lucky and win year after year.

Never had a t-shirt at a reunion. Detroit area and Sicily from which we hail.

OMG! Those shirts were so narcissistic! I have never had a shirt at any family reunion. Is it a southern thing? Why not just put, "Family Reunion 2015"? I really can't stand her. A women has the right to privacy after giving up a child.

Kenya - I usually fast forward through anything that has to do with her. As a Detroiter my opinion of her is the same as my opinion of Mrs. Tankard which is very, very low. Anywho....Her mother wanted to put her up for adoption, it did not happen. It may have been better for Kenya if it did. At some point you need to move on with your life. My father was a horrible alcoholic.......I just grew up and came to grips with the fact that I can only control myself and not others. Everyone has some story. Going to her mother's house with a camera crew was pretty stupid and probably the worst thing she could have done. Kenya has never struck me as very bright. Porsha - stop, just stop. You looked like an idiot. Who makes their sister take a different seat on a plane? Boy she sure has come a long way from the holier-than-thou person she was. Phaedra - girl, you should market that workout tape as another way to induce labor and make a mint! Anyone who know of anyone who was over due knows they will buy and do anything to get things moving.

I have always thought that something would come of that relationship. Don't we know that Rosamund was in the same situation as Edith at one time and that's how she knew what to do? Just going out on a limb here.........Rosamund/Carson illicit affair and then Mary needs a home and taken it by Lord Granthem?????? Has anyone seen the PBS show Manor of Speaking? I get 3 PBS channels and only one of them runs the show and it is at 3:00 am to boot. The show is fantastic and there is much talk about each episode and a call from the other side of the pond (Yep, that's what they call it). This week's call was a filmed bit by Julian Fellowes discussing his drawing on stories from his own family or other families close to him for the characters. Fascinating! Someone on the panel read a tweet about the comparison of the pigs on the show and Animal Farm.

So glad I came here. Just watched my first show. I live in the Detroit area so I was interested. That guy was horrible. I do agree with him on not having a Russian based logo. YIKES, timing is not right for that. Their second location has closed.

Have we ever saw a team heckle another team so close to the finish line before? That was pretty rude and once again Justin used up precious time and energy by always looking at the other team. OMG! Did Justin cut Phil off while he was talking? Let's hope that Phil can say, "Nope, not going to do it, no Justin...". I loved watching the reactions of the other teams. Justin must have been a real ass the whole race. Girl pap - you still would have come in last even if you did steal that cab. Delusional!

JJJ hope you ducked from the tomato I threw. Glad the reporters won and I liked how the other teams at the finish line also liked that the reporters won. Yes, home town bad luck is a thing on AR. In AR 1 a team lost the race because they (Ok he) thought they new best how to cut through neighborhoods to get to the park first.......and they were not first. Cabgate: Didn't the girl reporter say they had not paid their cab yet? Paparazzi: With both of them having unisex names I still have no idea which one is which one.

CCB and her ilk scare the hell out of me. Anyone who needs a book to tell them right from wrong is scary. The "book" also tells you to seclude yourself from male family members during your period. I can't believe I liked what Peter said. Kandi was absolutely right. I have a feeling that hubby won't be as 50/50 with child rearing if he can't wait to take a phone call as opposed to the Dr. finding your child's heartbeat. The problem with this group is that they don't respect each other. I have friends of all races and backgrounds and we have never, ever called each other a bitch in fun.

I love they way he handles these kids. He is just wonderful with them.
