  1. I'm surprised ABC spoiled the trio of darkness in the promos, especially how they looked. So will 4B be about this trio or about Rumple going full Dark One? I'm kind of bored of evil witches at this point but Kristen Bauer and Merrin Dungey do make up for it. Plus, all three looked great in the short bit we got to see them. I wonder how they'll explain Cruella's involvement considering she isn't a witch. And if we're getting Ursla does this mean Joanna Garcia is coming back?
  2. I like Iris. She's actually doing what journalists do; going after the story and now she isn't even just concentrating on The Flash. She wants to search for meta humans. Yes, it's dangerous but I didn't hear anyone saying, "Hey Rory Gilmore, you can barely function without your mommy or boyfriend, maybe being a war correspondent is a bitch too dangerous for you!"....Journalist, is, at times, dangerous. And just because Barry and her father think, "You're putting yourself in danger, stop" doesn't mean she should. Nor should the Flash telling her, "Stop covering me" because she isn't approaching this as a (complete) fan girl, she's approaching this as a way of informing the public about what's happening, giving them hope. So no, I don't think it's stupid she continues to report on him despite his protest. Again, that's a part of journalism. The whole fact that they think so is sexist. First, having a cop father, also kind of dangerous. Wouldn't people who want to hurt her dad want to hurt her? So how is her blogging, being proactive, finding a passion for something dangerous too? She has self-defense training, so she isn't 100% a damsel. And then there is the fact that no one is telling her the truth. If she was being told the truth, maybe she could work out a way to both pursue her passion while also setting up more safeguards around both herself and Barry. Except everyone is choosing to lie to her, to treat her as if she's some delicate flower. So yeah, none of my issues are with Iris as a character. I like Iris a lot. She's a lot like her comic character(who is a less in your face Lois Lane but also still a dogged journalist) and she's doing what journalist do(it's much better than her, "I'm dumb, teach me how to science!" that she did a few episodes ago. What I don't like is how the show and the men in her life seem to view Iris. Give the girl some respect.
  3. This was always why I didn't want them to pursue an Oliver/Felicity relationship. First, it starts to engulf the show, second it starts to engulf Felicity and third it changes Felicity and fourth it changes Oliver and Felicity's relationship for the worse. And this is BEFORE the relationship even happens. I hate to tell people but it gets worse once the relationship starts and we'll need to deal with relationship drama(the show has never had a great handle on people in loving romantic relationships)...I just think this unnecessary. To me they worked so well as to very different equals but now there is this friction...And even once the relationship starts she becomes Oliver's girl, because this is his show and the writers aren't exactly breaking the mold for female characters in television(alas poor Iris!)... I just wish they'd drop it(sorry Olicity fans) because I just don't want to see Felicity brought down this path. And no, her getting bought shining things doesn't equal especially since Felicity isn't the type of girl who wants to be bought shiny things(unless it's tech related!). In fact, I was hoping this season would add a bit more depth and complexity to Felicity(while still keeping her wholesome charm intact), but it's doing the opposite! I'm struggling with this season..
  4. To be fair they had very different relationships. As Gregson pointed out in the first episode this season, "We aren't friends..." So it isn't like he's forgiven him, he's just using him for his consultant duties(he was pretty stern to him at the beginning of the episode too). Bell was obviously least close to Holmes so he's forgiven him quickest but Greyson is still a bit harsh and Joan, who's his abandonment cut deepest, is obviously the most cold and hurt by him. I like it. What Sherlock did was wrong and thoughtless, cruel even, so I want to see him and Joan rebuild their relationship.
  5. I'm not sure who's side we are supposed to be on with the Iris vs Her Father/Barry because the show is making it seem like we're supposed to be touched by her protective they are of her but I find it downright insulting. As we see more and more of Iris, we see she's intelligent, capable, ambitious and intuitive. I get that they don't want her involved in the danger but it's her choice. We know Iris wanted to be a cop, but her father stopped. And now Iris is finding a zest and a joy in journalism and once again her dad is like, "Yeah, but no!" How about you stop treating Iris like she's a little helpless girl? It's kind of disrespectful to her. I get they love her but lying to her, and hurting her(which Barry did) isn't helping matters, especially since it seems like she'll keep doing it(I hope she doesn't stop. I like her journey towards journalism). In a way they're putting her in more danger. She's taking risks she wouldn't have to take if Barry was just honest with her. I'm guessing Iris will discover Barry's secret on her own through her own skillset, which is cool but they need to do it sooner rather than later. Also I don't want them to thaw or deedge Caitlin. I hated her scene where she's like "He's hot" than backtracked. Don't make her Felicity, make her Caitlin. From what I saw earlier of her, she'd seem like the type of woman to own that sort of comment, and be like, "Yeah, okay. What? He is." and maybe just show some contriteness to Barry, not "Oh I said a boy was hot! Better act quirky because only guys can comment on hotness!"
  6. While the flashbacks were boring, Elizabeth MItchell was awesome in them, despite some weak writing. She's terrific and carrying this season on her shoulders. They better follow up with an interesting story because once she goes, we're left with bull like Robin and Regina. I like Regina but this Robin crap is just too much. I hope she sticks around and Rumpelle goes full evil with her. The good thing about her is she's understated. All the villains are so over the top but Elizabeth Mitchell plays The Snow Queen like an actual human. It's why I symapthize with her, it's why I like her more than the majority of the heroes on the show..
  7. That's all Bonnie is for; sacrificing her life for friends who treat her terribly(Elena Gilbert: Worst Sister/NIece/Daughter/BFF ever)... I've hated most relationships on this show; save for Bonnie and Damon's. Their hateship was fun. Bonnie was one of the few people who saw Damon for all he was, and Damon hated that and also couldn't stand some pretty self-righteous(IE the one moral person on this show...at least for the first three seasons)...There was something fun about their relationship. If they get together, that would ruin it(like the writer's have ruined every relationship) I much rather they just become friends who give each other crap constantly, because I think Bonnie would actually be a good for Damon in terms of not dealing with his wishy-washiness. Obviously, we'lll be dealing with Damon doing all he can to get Bonnie out and back, so I'm all for someone trying to save Bonnie for a change.
  8. I don't think Tommy being mentioned has anything to do with Meryln NOT being the killer. But given that we're dealing with Ras Ah Ghol and the lazarus pit, I wouldn't be shocked if we learn Tommy is alive and well(and EEVVVVIILLL) The first two episodes happened within two days of each other and episode 3 and 4 happened back to back. So it hasn't been three to four weeks. It's been under two weeks(Sarah arrived two weeks ago, tailed Merilyn for a few days and than must have saved Ollie and gone to Laurel). So while it's been four episodes and four weeks, it probably hasn't even been nine days since Sarah died.
  9. Really? I just thought he'd look sad that he had to tell her everything like that a mass murderer is on the loose and he failed to bring him in. But ergh, to the Laurel vs Felicity crap and the whole 'look at her face'(her reaction didn't change at all). It's sexist and it's gross, so let's drop it. Two female characters can exist around a male character not have to hate each other, just because the shippers do. I said it last week but let's not support this Girl Vs Girl crap. Let's root for them to become friends. I do find it funny that people are angry at Laurel for not telling her father....When it's pretty clear she's doing to to not kill him. I get the Laurel hate but I don't get the fact that people are just so "in hate" with the character they can't even get into a character's very emotional and protective mindset. I do wish they'd give Laurel so consistency. Kill, don't kill, kill..I would have liked if they gave her a firm 'Don't kill stance' that fights with her being someone who's always been about justice. Yes, her sister died and yes Merlyn killed Tommy too and stranded her sister on an island...But yeah okay maybe it makes sense why she'd act irrationally but they need to pick a stance. Is this her heroic journey or not? We don't need a repeat of Oliver's where he decides "not to kill" I agree with the person who said actor doesn't look like Ra Ah Ghul. He's look too like rough...
  10. This epiode made my brain hurt as a whole. Lots and lots of logic jumps - "No prison can hold me!" Sure, well let's at least test that theory. Why instead allow a killer to go free? Arrest Malcom at least means he's the most wanted person in the world. Instead he's living in the shadows, under Oliver's protecton(WTF?) It was as contrived as possible. I mean for someone who murdered hundreds of people, he's pretty nonchalant about being in public. It just made no sense. My head hurts trying to make any logic of it. - If Ral Ah Gul killed Sara her reaction to seeing him was as indifferent as possible. You'd think someone as feared him would get a different reaction - Waller was watching Oliver but did nothing about the multiple insistencies of the world almost ending. I hate this show's Waller. She's gone none of the complications of comic book Waller(or at least pre-Nu 52 Waller) - The Flashbacks are terrible and useless. Why have Katiana if she's just going to be some dude's wife? - So is Oliver the flash now because he sure is quick. - I'll give Laurel credit. She's actually got muscle definition in the arms. - If Thea is so kickass why was she like "Oh okay, you want to kidnap me? Whatevs!" - Roy talking about how painting helps him not think made me laugh, especially since Roy said it with as much emotion as I imagine dry paint has. Also jumping on the car and flipping? Nice move. - Why bring back this club storyline? Is it a CW mandate because it's boring. - I wish Nissa would have stayed around and trained Laurel instead of this predictable Ted Grant relationship. Their relationship is much more interesting. - How many characters will Arrow/Flash white-wash? - Is next week the Felicity episode?? I hope so. It would hopefully help my headache of this episode.
  11. I'm sorry but I don't buy Malcom's whole, "A crwoded place equals invisibility." ....Maybe for someone who isn't famous but if you're a famous mass murderer and are standing in the middle of a bunch of people, they'll notice. That just took me right out of the episode. It was SOOO dumb.
  12. Well next episode sounds good at least... I like the Snow Queen and Elsa, both actresses are giving a lot to the roles and the Snow Queen is miles better than The Wicked Witch. She's actually an interesting villain(and yes, again Elizabeth Mitchell makes everything better). I wonder who Lilly is...I mean, a birthmark in the shape of a star? That needs to mean something.
  13. I could bet a $1 million dollars if that was Roy, no one would comment. I'm sticking with that. And I'm sorry but why should she think about Quentin. Since when is that a problem for a Superhero's origin. I don't here anyone saying, "But Peter isn't thinking about poor Aunt May! Oliver isn't thinking about Thea or his mom!" I mean, why is that Laurel needs to think of her father? Yes, he's sick but Aunt May was an old woman, anything happened to Peter it would kill her. And Thea would break if Oliver dies(or she would before her training), so where are the cries of for Oliver to stop? I just find it funny that Oliver tells Laurel "Think about your dad" when Oliver never one thought about anyone else in his quest. That's the hero life. There is a line of selfishness in people like Peter Parker, Oliver Queen and other heroes with secret identities and a family. So why is Laurel an exception to the rule?
  14. Umm how did Laurel now Felicity was in a meeting with her boss? And considering Felicity is a semi-superhero/Oracle-light, calling her out of the blue isn't far fetched. And I don't get the comments that Laurel coming more into a role means less Felicitya and less Felicity/Oliver(umm last episode they had a huge emotional scene together). This is one of my major problems with fandom and shipping. Since it tends to be female centric, it creates a lot of animosity towards female characters. I mean, what's going on that where mad that Laurel called Felicity for a favor. I want this to happen, especially considering Felicity is this world's Oracle and Babara and Dinah were best friends in the comics. HAving that relationship develop would be amazing. But there is this Laurel vs Felicity divide that's just disappointing. I get a lot of people want Felicity and Oliver(not me. Felicity is my favorite character and I fear what a relationship with Oliver could do to her development), but yeah...it sucks that's how people see it.
  15. I'd fault the actor for the no chemistry between Laurel and Ted. He seems to think shirtless = acting. But I hope we don't get a relationship with them. Just let Laurel become a fighter. And I also don't think Laurel was a bitch to Felicity. If anything I was taken aback by Felicity being sort of rude to Laurel with the "Are we favor friends? Are we even friends"...Who says that to someone? Especially Felciity who is usually Miss. Nice. Hope they do build a friendship between them. The DC-TV verse is lacking in any sort of female friendships, especially now that Sarah is dead. But I guess I'm the only one here who thought that since people LOVE that Felicity was snippy to her. Given the machoism of Arrow, and the death of Sarah, I'm surprised anyone who roots for female characters on television could be for that. I find it funny because I do think Kate Cassiday is doing a better job this season, compared to the stinker of her character last season(and the last half of season 1)...And than we have Colton "one facial expression" Haynes and most people never comment on that. But I thik people are going to hate the character no matter what arc she goes on for numerous reasons that are out of control of any writing they could do for the character or any acting improvement Kate Cassiday could make. I thought she did well in both the AA scene and the hospital scene but yeah...w.e.
  16. Elizabeth MItchell's "I'm going to build a snowman" delivery was awesome in that promo. Can't wait to see it.
  17. Ha I'm quoting yout both all your thoughts mirror mine in EVERY sentence. Hello thought buddy :p. But yes to the reality star thing, yes to Mellie, and yes to Ollitz. "Hey, my son died two months ago, my wife is grieving, my daughter is grievig and was in a sex tape, wannna just the tip?" I really hope this ends with both Jake and Papa Pope going away. I wonder if Mellie will ever find out her son was murdered?
  18. Maybe it's because over in a Bones thread people were trashing Cam's new hair but I'm a little tired of all this "hair" talk. This is Viola Freakin' Davis. She can wear a mullet wig for all I care. She entralls me in every scene she's in, the definition of a captivating actress.
  19. We don't even know the full story...Given that it seems the husband could have killed the girl, who knows what else he was capable of. THis seems like a fun show. Yeah the characters aren't the most virtious or good but this is a shonda Rhimes show and the self-righteous are boring. I'd watch NCIS or some CBS procedural if I wanted one dimensional characters. And when you have Viold Davis acting, that character will automatically have added layers. Not sure how I feel about how large this cast is. Do we really need punk girl and QB guy(btw, they'd never refer to a pretty dead white girl as 'girlfriend of the star QB' on the news. It would be all about her). Do we really need mystery on top of mystery on top of mystery? INteresting cast, interesting story..I'll stick around but it's a bit worrying it could get too much very fast.
  20. This episode makes me mad for one reason..that stupid New York Times article. Abbie so on her game this week and I HATE that the article dared to call her a sidekick. She is Crane's equal in almost everyway, save for I think she's much more levelheaded(meaning she's doing a lot of the leading, so ha!). Like tonight when she used her detective skills to find Headless or when she was fighting War or talking to the new Sheriff, or Irving or her sister. To demote her to sidekick role because she's 1) a woman, 2) she's black is so frustrating. Abbie Mills is fifty different shades of awesome and in charge, so boo to you. Love Crane's bank rant. Love that Katrina is finally doing things. Love Jenny taking one for the team(and love the Mills relationship.) Worried for Irving but love how he's willing to sacrifice himself time and again for the team and his daughter. Ergh, I love all of them. Such a great cast of characters.
  21. The daughter is a scary bad actress.
  22. I enjoyed this episode and I actually enjoy Mara. I think this episode did more to prove she isn't just EVIL, there is something more under the bravado and over topness. And I think Emily is doing a great job with the role. I don't think her actings weak either, especially not compared to literally everyone else but Eric on the show.
  23. Everyone is going to hate me but I'm kind of happy he's dead... HERE ME OUT! I kind of think, Sweets kind of eventually hurt the show. His existence made it more of a cutesy romantic comedy, he kind of took away from the Squints when he became the "third" main character. I liked Sweets at first but he became a crutch of a show, a way for them to say, "Ain't Booths and Bones CRAZY!"...And he was a way for Booth to avoid the Squints. If you watch the superior early seasons versus now, Booth doesn't interact much with the Squints outside of Wendell. I know David has, to the huge detriment of the show, asked not to be in the lab. But I just feel there is this huge divide in the show and I've always preferred all the Squints to anyone in the FBI save for Caroline(and I'm including Booth :p). So yeah...I'm not heartbroken over Sweets lose because I'm hoping it means the show can bring these two universes together again and stop with the "Booth and Bones be crazy and they got problems!"
  24. It was nice to have Olivia be tough and not whiny and weak. That made this episode for me. After seeing her as a pathetic shell of her former self for a whole season, it's just nice to see her be a badass again. Who killed Harrison? I can't remember.
  25. Well is better than the first half of the first season, so there's that... Skye didn't have any moments of "SHe's a special snowflake" only Ward gave her that so + May kicked butt and took names + Fitz was sad but great this episode. He'll be the reason I'm staying put. + SImmons left Fitz? Uh yeah, not her style at all. We've seen nothing but undying loyalty from Simmons until this point so -. But even just a figment of Fitz's imagination Simmons is still my fav so + Ward redeeming? - Skye shutting the "door" in Ward's face + New characters? SUPER BLAND - - But seriously on this? Ward's at least interesting and fun to hate now(and should still as a character to hate or just be killed off...or both), but we've got bland stereotypical British Guy added to the cast. And now we have bland random black guy, and bland Tripp(I HATE the writing for this character. So many of his lines make me cringe. They go for suave but miss the mark so hard) Interesting bad guys + Coulson colder + Patton Oswalt - (Sorry, he's a d-bag. Look at this twitter) SO yeah more pluses than minuses, so I'll stick around.
