  1. Maybe he I wouldn’t have minded that alternative ending.
  2. I hope you enjoy it. What I also liked was that there wasn’t a stupid misunderstanding, and it didn’t have the cliched “American looking like a bumbling idiot while trying to learn about Indian culture.” She embraced all of it.
  3. I enjoyed Make Me a Match. It was different from the other Hallmark movies and the leads weren’t mean and nasty to each other. They also had nice chemistry and I liked the side characters (friends and parents). It was nice that the leads had decent side stories with their parents.
  4. I know the USGA hate it, but fans (including me) are loving all the great shots and birdie/eagle tries. I hate watching the usual bogey fest of US Opens so this has been a treat. NBC coverage, however, continues to be atrocious. I don’t need to see the leaders practicing their putts when there are other players out there hitting quality shots.

    MLB Thread

Only one guy can get a win along with hitting a 443 foot MLB leading HR. Unreal.
  6. So far happy with the leaders. Hope they keep it up this week.
  7. The lead falls in love with an Indian Matchmaker’s son, so I don’t think both leads need to be Indian for the storyline to work. The guy is freaking hot (I couldn’t stop staring at him in Never Have I Ever) so I’m excited for that one.
  8. Liking it so far, and from the next episode description, it’s about time that Charlie stops acting like a supportive husband because nobody would be supportive of how the two of them have been so far. I got a kick the first episode about Sylvia and her friend whining and tired at 10pm when they were in that crowded bar. That is exactly how every single 40 year old mom I know acts. Give me some wine and a booth or chair any day over that standing and socializing nonsense.

    The NBA

Congrats to the Nuggets on their first championship! Now all of Denver’s sports teams have won a championship (shoot, never mind since the Rockies haven’t won).
  10. Shoot, you’re right that it was the counselor, but I could have sworn that Nalini told her to apply to other schools besides Princeton, then dropped the ball by not following up. I don’t know if it’s a first generation American thing since my parents also pushed me to get good grades, but were pretty hands off during college apps since they didn’t know the process and trusted that I knew what I was doing. Luckily I applied to zero Ivy schools since the California UC schools were good enough, and applied to multiple safety schools. The high school counselors at my school were useless.
  11. Nalini did tell Devi to apply to other safety schools, but Devi threw a fit so Nalini backed off. I’m sure it was more than one conversation and she constantly nagged her about it, but she did her due diligence as a mother to try to convince her to apply to other schools besides Ivy.
  12. Forgot how hilarious this show is. All the taxidermy animals at the wedding and staring at Justin cracked me up. Poor Riley.
  13. Yes, we have all been around or have had friends like her- when the world revolves around only them and only their needs matter. Devi has really grown since the first season but she can still be very selfish. I’m glad she realized this and apologized to Fabiola for being a terrible friend.
  14. I always thought that you needed to interview with an alumni for an Ivy college application, but you can opt out of it and won’t be penalized. I was waiting for Devi to have an interview, but maybe meeting with the admissions advisor during the college fair was enough for the writers.
  15. Ben clearly said that he wanted to try dating Devi and seeing how they would work in a relationship. They’ve had feelings for each other for three years and never got a chance to be in a relationship, so I like how open ended their ending was. They didn’t get married or engaged. They were only an hour from each other on the east coast, so why not see how they’d mesh with their similar personalities? They had one another’s backs through all the ups and downs in high school (Ben urging Devi to go to her dad’s spreading of ashes ceremony, him comforting her when he found out she didn’t get into any colleges, Devi convincing Ben to be himself to the Columbia rep). They both have the same passion when it comes to school.
  16. It seemed like it was done purposely since Fabiola and Addison didn’t have any drama, and they wanted to focus more on Fabiola’s school journey since they already covered her love life in the first three seasons: https://www.distractify.com/p/never-have-i-ever-fabiola-addison-relationship
  17. Thanks for the suggestion. I liked Kaylee Bryant in Legacies, and now that some Hallmark Mysteries and Movies are on Peacock I wanted to try some.
  18. The last two episodes really gutted me and the tears were flowing. Perfect ending to this great show. I’m glad that Devi didn’t get into all the Ivy schools and showcased how dumb she was to not have some safety schools. I also loved the flashback to the teacher that told Devi to write about her father’s death in the admission essays and how she didn’t want to exploit her pain. Also not going to lie that I loved that her and Ben were endgame since they made the most sense together, and how their first time was awful and not the usual TV “best virgin sex ever” trope. I was upset that they only showed Manish in that last clip, but figured the actor wasn’t available because of Ghosts. And I’m also happy that Pati and Nalini got their happy endings as well and Pati’s love interest wasn't exploiting her for money. The core of this show was also highlighted this last season with the girls’ friendship and Nalini and Devi’s relationship, as well as her father’s death. Those flashback scenes were brutal, as was when he was trying to help her pack for Princeton. Another big part of the show was seeing how much Devi had grown from the first season, and how we were introduced to an angry and heartbroken girl. Her sessions with her therapist were definitely a highlight.
  19. I guess they found a way of giving Paxton some face time this season. Interested to see where this storyline is going. Im excited to see Pati dating. And I’m guessing Margot’s dad may be Nalini’s new love interest?
  20. At least Devi’s temper has been pretty consistent the past four seasons. That seems to be her downfall. I don’t like how Devi may have this bad boy love interest. Didn’t she sort of have this storyline with Paxton already?
  21. I feel bad for the PGA players who stuck with the PGA because of principles or loyalty, only to find out that they were sold out because of money. I’m sure Rory, Tiger and Max Homa are extra pissed since they were the “faces” of the PGA loyalty.

    The NBA

Clearly can tell who’s the better rested team. The Nuggets are a very deep team and are showing they don’t need their MVP to win games.
  23. I’m going to miss this show and all the wonderful characters we fell in love with the past three seasons. Everything that I fell in love with was showcased in this episode. The players singing “So Long, Farewell” was perfect; Ted and Rebecca talking in the stadium and airport; Roy and the Diamond Dogs; Jamie and Roy fighting over Keely. The video the coaches showed the players made me cry like they did. Then I lost it when they all pulled pieces of the Believe sign out of their lockers and clothes. It was all perfect. Nate and Ted were great as well. I wish this scene was two episodes ago before they contemplated him coming back to the team, but I felt his apology was honest. I do wish that Roy and Keely got their happy ending, but whatever.
  24. I love the celebrity episodes because they all look like they are having fun (even Pat) and don’t take it so seriously. Carla, Phil and Jet were so cute.
